1 T hese were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2 B ut Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.

Mas Nadab, y Abiú murieron antes que su padre, y no tuvieron hijos; Eleazar e Itamar tuvieron el sacerdocio.

3 D avid with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

Y David los repartió, siendo Sadoc de los hijos de Eleazar, y Ahimelec de los hijos de Itamar, por sus turnos en su ministerio.

4 T here were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers’ houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers’ houses, eight.

Y los hijos de Eleazar fueron hallados más, cuando fueron contados, que los hijos de Itamar; y los repartieron así: De los hijos de Eleazar había dieciséis cabezas de casas paternas; y de los hijos de Itamar por las casas de sus padres, ocho.

5 T hus were they divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

Los repartieron, pues, por suerte los unos con los otros; porque de los hijos de Eleazar y de los hijos de Itamar hubo príncipes del santuario, y príncipes de Dios.

6 S hemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, the princes, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers’ house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

Y Semaías escriba, hijo de Natanael, de los levitas, los escribió delante del rey y de los príncipes, y delante de Sadoc el sacerdote, y de Ahimelec hijo de Abiatar, y de las cabezas de los padres de los sacerdotes y levitas; y adscribían una casa paternal a Eleazar, y a Itamar otra.

7 N ow the first lot came out to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

31 T hese likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers’ households of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

Estos también echaron suertes, contra sus hermanos los hijos de Aarón, delante del rey David, y de Sadoc y de Ahimelec, y de los principales de los padres de los sacerdotes y levitas; los principales de los padres contra sus hermanos menores.
