1 ( Un psalm al lui David.) Fă-midreptate, Doamne, căci umblu în nevinovăţie, şi mă încred în Domnul, fără şovăire.

Vindicate me, O Lord, For I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip.

2 C ercetează-mă, Doamne, încearcă-mă, trece-mi prin cuptorul de foc rărunchii şi inima!

Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.

3 C ăci bunătatea Ta este înaintea ochilor mei, şi umblu în adevărul Tău.

For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth.

4 N u şed împreună cu oamenii mincinoşi, şi nu merg împreună cu oamenii vicleni.

I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, Nor will I go in with hypocrites.

5 U răsc adunarea celor ce fac răul, şi nu stau împreună cu cei răi.

I have hated the assembly of evildoers, And will not sit with the wicked.

6 Î mi spăl mînile în nevinovăţie, şi aşa înconjur altarul Tău, Doamne,

I will wash my hands in innocence; So I will go about Your altar, O Lord,

7 c a să izbucnesc în mulţămiri, şi să istorisesc toate minunile Tale.

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.

8 D oamne, eu iubesc locaşul Casei Tale, şi locul în care locuieşte slava Ta.

Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells.

9 N u-mi lua sufletul împreună cu păcătoşii, nici viaţa cu oamenii cari varsă sînge,

Do not gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

10 a le căror mîni sînt nelegiuite, şi a căror dreaptă este plină de mită!

In whose hands is a sinister scheme, And whose right hand is full of bribes.

11 E u umblu în neprihănire; izbăveşte-mă, şi ai milă de mine!

But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; Redeem me and be merciful to me.

12 P iciorul meu stă pe calea cea dreaptă: voi binecuvînta pe Domnul în adunări.

My foot stands in an even place; In the congregations I will bless the Lord.
