Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord!

2 L os que están en la casa del Señor, En los atrios de la casa de nuestro Dios.

You who stand in the house of the Lord, In the courts of the house of our God,

3 ¡ Aleluya! Porque el Señor es bueno; Canten alabanzas a Su nombre, porque es agradable.

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.

4 P orque el Señor ha escogido a Jacob para sí, A Israel para posesión Suya.

For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.

5 P orque yo sé que el Señor es grande, Y que nuestro Señor está sobre todos los dioses.

For I know that the Lord is great, And our Lord is above all gods.

6 T odo cuanto el Señor quiere, lo hace, En los cielos y en la tierra, en los mares y en todos los abismos.

Whatever the Lord pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

7 E l hace subir las nubes desde los extremos de la tierra, Hace los relámpagos para la lluvia Y saca el viento de Sus depósitos.

He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries.

8 H irió a los primogénitos de Egipto, Tanto de hombre como de animal.

He destroyed the firstborn of Egypt, Both of man and beast.

9 E nvió señales y prodigios en medio de ti, oh Egipto, Sobre Faraón y todos sus siervos.

He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, Upon Pharaoh and all his servants.

10 H irió a muchas naciones Y mató a reyes poderosos;

He defeated many nations And slew mighty kings—

11 A Sehón, rey de los Amorreos, A Og, rey de Basán, Y a todos los reinos de Canaán;

Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan—

12 Y dio sus tierras en herencia, En herencia a Israel Su pueblo.

And gave their land as a heritage, A heritage to Israel His people.

13 T u nombre, Señor, es eterno; Tu memoria, Señor, por todas las generaciones.

Your name, O Lord, endures forever, Your fame, O Lord, throughout all generations.

14 P orque el Señor juzgará a Su pueblo, Y tendrá compasión de Sus siervos.

For the Lord will judge His people, And He will have compassion on His servants.

15 L os ídolos de las naciones son plata y oro, Obra de manos de hombre.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.

16 T ienen boca, y no hablan; Tienen ojos, y no ven;

They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see;

17 T ienen oídos, y no oyen; Tampoco hay aliento en su boca.

They have ears, but they do not hear; Nor is there any breath in their mouths.

18 L os que los hacen serán semejantes a ellos, Sí, todos los que en ellos confían.

Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them.
