1 D espués de esto, el Señor designó a otros setenta, y los envió de dos en dos delante de El, a toda ciudad y lugar adonde El había de ir.

After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

2 Y les decía: “La cosecha es mucha, pero los obreros pocos; rueguen, por tanto, al Señor de la cosecha que envíe obreros a Su cosecha.

Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

3 V ayan; miren que los envío como corderos en medio de lobos.

Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.

4 N o lleven bolsa, ni alforja, ni sandalias; y a nadie saluden por el camino.

Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.

5 E n cualquier casa que entren, primero digan: ‘Paz a esta casa.’

But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’

6 Y si hay allí un hijo de paz, la paz de ustedes reposará sobre él; pero si no, se volverá a ustedes.

And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.

7 P ermanezcan entonces en esa casa, comiendo y bebiendo lo que les den; porque el obrero es digno de su salario. No se pasen de casa en casa.

And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.

8 E n cualquier ciudad donde entren y los reciban, coman lo que les sirvan;

Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.

9 s anen a los enfermos que haya en ella, y díganles: ‘Se ha acercado a ustedes el reino de Dios.’

And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

10 P ero en cualquier ciudad donde entren, y no los reciban, salgan a sus calles, y digan:

But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

11 ‘ Hasta el polvo de su ciudad que se pega a nuestros pies, nos lo sacudimos en protesta contra ustedes; pero sepan esto: que el reino de Dios se ha acercado.’

‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’

12 L es digo que en aquel día será más tolerable el castigo para Sodoma que para aquella ciudad.

But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city. Woe to the Impenitent Cities

13 “ ¡ Ay de ti Corazín! ¡Ay de ti Betsaida! Porque si los milagros que se hicieron entre ustedes hubieran sido hechos en Tiro y Sidón, hace tiempo que se hubieran arrepentido sentados en cilicio y ceniza.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14 P or eso, en el juicio será más tolerable el castigo para Tiro y Sidón que para ustedes.

But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

15 Y tú, Capernaúm, ¿acaso serás elevada hasta los cielos? ¡Hasta el Hades (la región de los muertos) serás hundida!

And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

16 “ El que a ustedes escucha, Me escucha a Mí, y el que a ustedes rechaza, Me rechaza a Mí; y el que Me rechaza a Mí, rechaza al que Me envió.” Regreso de los Setenta

He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” The Seventy Return with Joy

17 L os setenta regresaron con gozo, diciendo: “Señor, hasta los demonios se nos sujetan en Tu nombre.”

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

18 Y El les dijo: “Yo veía a Satanás caer del cielo como un rayo.

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

19 M iren, les he dado autoridad para pisotear sobre serpientes y escorpiones, y sobre todo el poder del enemigo, y nada les hará daño.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20 S in embargo, no se regocijen en esto, de que los espíritus se les sometan, sino regocíjense de que sus nombres están escritos en los cielos.” Jesús Se Regocija

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Jesus Rejoices in the Spirit

21 E n aquella misma hora Jesús se regocijó mucho en el Espíritu Santo, y dijo: “Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque ocultaste estas cosas a sabios y a inteligentes, y las revelaste a niños. Sí, Padre, porque así fue de Tu agrado.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

22 T odas las cosas Me han sido entregadas por Mi Padre, y nadie sabe quién es el Hijo sino el Padre, ni quién es el Padre sino el Hijo, y aquél a quien el Hijo se lo quiera revelar.”

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. ”

23 V olviéndose hacia los discípulos, les dijo aparte: “Dichosos los ojos que ven lo que ustedes ven;

Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see;

24 p orque les digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que ustedes ven, y no lo vieron, y oír lo que ustedes oyen, y no lo oyeron.” Pregunta sobre la Vida Eterna

for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it. ” The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 C ierto intérprete de la ley (experto en la Ley de Moisés) se levantó, y para poner a prueba a Jesús dijo: “Maestro, ¿qué haré para heredar la vida eterna?”

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 Y Jesús le dijo: “¿Qué está escrito en la Ley? ¿Qué lees en ella ?”

He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it? ”

27 R espondiendo él, dijo: “ Amaras al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazon, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu fuerza, y con toda tu mente, y a tu projimo como a ti mismo.”

So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the L ord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

28 E ntonces Jesús le dijo: “Has respondido correctamente; haz esto y viviras.”

And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”

29 P ero queriendo él justificarse a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: “¿Y quién es mi prójimo?” Parábola del Buen Samaritano

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 J esús le respondió: “Cierto hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó, y cayó en manos de salteadores, los cuales después de despojarlo y de darle golpes, se fueron, dejándolo medio muerto.

Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 P or casualidad cierto sacerdote bajaba por aquel camino, y cuando lo vio, pasó por el otro lado del camino.

Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 D el mismo modo, también un Levita, cuando llegó al lugar y lo vio, pasó por el otro lado del camino.

Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.

33 P ero cierto Samaritano, que iba de viaje, llegó adonde él estaba; y cuando lo vio, tuvo compasión.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.

34 A cercándose, le vendó sus heridas, derramando aceite y vino sobre ellas; y poniéndolo sobre su propia cabalgadura, lo llevó a un mesón y lo cuidó.

So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 A l día siguiente, sacando dos denarios (salario de dos días) se los dio al mesonero, y dijo: ‘Cuídelo, y todo lo demás que gaste, cuando yo regrese se lo pagaré.’

On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’

36 ¿ Cuál de estos tres piensas tú que demostró ser prójimo del que cayó en manos de los salteadores?”

So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”

37 E l intérprete de la ley respondió: “El que tuvo misericordia de él.” “Ve y haz tú lo mismo,” le dijo Jesús. Jesús Visita a Marta y a María

And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” Mary and Martha Worship and Serve

38 M ientras iban ellos de camino, Jesús entró en cierta aldea; y una mujer llamada Marta Lo recibió en su casa.

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

39 E lla tenía una hermana que se llamaba María, que sentada a los pies del Señor, escuchaba Su palabra.

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.

40 P ero Marta se preocupaba con todos los preparativos. Y acercándose a El, le dijo: “Señor, ¿no Te importa que mi hermana me deje servir sola? Dile, pues, que me ayude.”

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

41 E l Señor le respondió: “Marta, Marta, tú estás preocupada y molesta por tantas cosas;

And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

42 p ero una sola cosa es necesaria, y María ha escogido la parte buena, la cual no le será quitada.”

But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
