1 “ En aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que vela sobre los hijos de tu pueblo. Será un tiempo de angustia cual nunca hubo desde que existen las naciones hasta entonces. Y en ese tiempo tu pueblo será librado, todos los que se encuentren inscritos en el libro.

“At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.

2 Y muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra despertarán, unos para la vida eterna, y otros para la ignominia, para el desprecio eterno.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 L os entendidos brillarán como el resplandor del firmamento, y los que guiaron a muchos a la justicia, como las estrellas, por toda la eternidad.

Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

4 P ero tú, Daniel, guarda en secreto estas palabras y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos correrán de aquí para allá, y el conocimiento aumentará.”

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

5 E ntonces yo, Daniel, miré, y vi que otros dos estaban de pie, uno a este lado del río, y el otro al otro lado del río.

Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank.

6 Y uno de ellos dijo al hombre vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río: “¿Para cuándo será el fin de estas maravillas ?”

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be? ”

7 Y oí al hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, que levantando su mano derecha y su mano izquierda al cielo, juró por Aquél que vive para siempre, que será por tres años y medio (un tiempo, tiempos y la mitad de un tiempo ). Y cuando se termine la destrucción del poder del pueblo santo, se cumplirán todas estas cosas.

Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.

8 Y o oí, pero no pude entender. Entonces dije: “Señor mío, ¿cuál será el resultado de estas cosas?”

Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things? ”

9 Y él respondió: “Anda, Daniel, porque estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin.

And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10 M uchos serán purificados, emblanquecidos y refinados. Los impíos procederán impíamente, y ninguno de los impíos comprenderá, pero los entendidos comprenderán.

Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

11 Y desde el tiempo en que el sacrificio perpetuo sea quitado y puesta la abominación de la desolación, habrá 1, 290 días.

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 B ienaventurado el que espere y llegue a 1, 335 días.

Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

13 P ero tú, sigue hasta el fin. Descansarás y te levantarás para recibir tu heredad al fin de los días.”

“But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”
