1 “ No juzguen para que no sean juzgados.

“Judge not, that you be not judged.

2 P orque con el juicio con que ustedes juzguen, serán juzgados; y con la medida con que midan, se les medirá.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

3 ¿ Por qué miras la mota que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no te das cuenta de la viga que está en tu propio ojo ?

And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

4 ¿ O cómo puedes decir a tu hermano: ‘Déjame sacarte la mota del ojo,’ cuando la viga está en tu ojo ?

Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?

5 ¡ Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu ojo, y entonces verás con claridad para sacar la mota del ojo de tu hermano.

Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 “ No den lo santo a los perros, ni echen sus perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que las huellen con sus patas, y volviéndose los despedacen a ustedes. La Oración Recibirá Respuesta

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

7 “ Pidan, y se les dará; busquen, y hallarán; llamen, y se les abrirá.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8 P orque todo el que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se le abrirá.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

9 ¿ O qué hombre hay entre ustedes que si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra,

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 o si le pide un pescado, le dará una serpiente?

Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 P ues si ustedes, siendo malos, saben dar buenas dádivas a sus hijos, ¿cuánto más su Padre que está en los cielos dará cosas buenas a los que Le piden ?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

12 “ Por eso, todo cuanto quieran que los hombres les hagan, así también hagan ustedes con ellos, porque ésta es la Ley y los Profetas. Dos Puertas y Dos Sendas

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. The Narrow Way

13 “ Entren por la puerta estrecha, porque ancha es la puerta y amplia es la senda que lleva a la perdición (destrucción), y muchos son los que entran por ella.

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

14 P ero estrecha es la puerta y angosta la senda que lleva a la vida, y pocos son los que la hallan. Cómo Conocer a los Falsos Profetas

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

15 “ Cuídense de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes con vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

16 P or sus frutos los conocerán. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los cardos?

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

17 A sí, todo árbol bueno da frutos buenos; pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 U n árbol bueno no puede producir frutos malos, ni un árbol malo producir frutos buenos.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

19 T odo árbol que no da buen fruto es cortado y echado al fuego.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 A sí que, por sus frutos los conocerán.

Therefore by their fruits you will know them. I Never Knew You

21 “ No todo el que Me dice: ‘Señor, Señor,’ entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de Mi Padre que está en los cielos.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 M uchos Me dirán en aquel día: ‘Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en Tu nombre, y en Tu nombre echamos fuera demonios, y en Tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros ?’

Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

23 E ntonces les declararé: ‘Jamás los conocí; apartense de Mi, los que practican la iniquidad.’ Los Dos Cimientos

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Build on the Rock

24 “ Por tanto, cualquiera que oye estas palabras Mías y las pone en práctica, será semejante a un hombre sabio que edificó su casa sobre la roca;

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25 y cayó la lluvia, vinieron los torrentes, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa; pero no se cayó, porque había sido fundada sobre la roca.

and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 T odo el que oye estas palabras Mías y no las pone en práctica, será semejante a un hombre insensato que edificó su casa sobre la arena;

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

27 y cayó la lluvia, vinieron los torrentes, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa; y cayó, y grande fue su destrucción.”

and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

28 C uando Jesús terminó estas palabras, las multitudes se admiraban de Su enseñanza;

And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,

29 p orque les enseñaba como Uno que tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.

for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
