29 J oin now, with their brethren, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law which was given to Moses the servant of God and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes:

se reunieron con sus hermanos y sus principales, para declarar y jurar que andarían en la ley de Dios, que fue dada por Moisés, siervo de Dios, y que guardarían y cumplirían todos los mandamientos, decretos y estatutos de Jehová, nuestro Señor.

30 W e shall not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons.

Y que no daríamos nuestras hijas a los pueblos de la tierra, ni tomaríamos sus hijas para nuestros hijos.

31 A nd if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we shall not buy it on the Sabbath or on a holy day; and we shall forego raising crops the seventh year and the compulsory payment of every debt.

Asimismo, que si los pueblos de la tierra vinieran a vender mercaderías y comestibles en sábado, nada tomaríamos de ellos en ese día ni en otro día santificado; y que el año séptimo dejaríamos descansar la tierra y perdonaríamos toda deuda.

32 A lso we pledge ourselves to pay yearly a third of a shekel for the service expenses of the house of our God:

Nos impusimos además la obligación de contribuir cada año con la tercera parte de un siclo para la obra de la casa de nuestro Dios;

33 F or the showbread; for the continual cereal offerings and burnt offerings; the Sabbaths, the New Moons, the set feasts; for the holy things, for the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel; and for all the work of the house of our God.

para el pan de la proposición y para la ofrenda continua, para el holocausto continuo, los sábados, las nuevas lunas, las festividades, y para las cosas santificadas y los sacrificios de expiación por el pecado de Israel, y para todo el servicio de la casa de nuestro Dios.

34 W e also cast lots—the priests, the Levites, and the people—for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers’ houses, at appointed times year by year, to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the Law.

Echamos también suertes los sacerdotes, los levitas y el pueblo, acerca de la ofrenda de la leña, para traerla a la casa de nuestro Dios, según las familias de nuestros padres, en los tiempos determinados cada año, para quemar sobre el altar de Jehová, nuestro Dios, como está escrito en la Ley.

35 A nd to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the first of all the fruit of all trees year by year to the house of the Lord,

Y que cada año llevaríamos a la casa de Jehová las primicias de nuestra tierra y las primicias del fruto de todo árbol.

36 A s well as the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as is written in the Law, and the firstlings of our herds and flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in house.

Asimismo los primogénitos de nuestros hijos y de nuestros ganados, como está escrito en la Ley; y que traeríamos los primogénitos de nuestras vacas y de nuestras ovejas a la casa de nuestro Dios, a los sacerdotes que ministran en la casa de nuestro Dios.

37 A nd we shall bring the first and best of our coarse meal, our contributions, the fruit of all kinds of trees, of new wine, and of oil to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God. And we shall bring the tithes from our ground to the Levites, for they, the Levites, collect the tithes in all our rural towns.

También acordamos llevar las primicias de nuestras masas, de nuestras ofrendas, del fruto de todo árbol, del vino y del aceite, para los sacerdotes, a los depósitos de la casa de nuestro Dios, y el diezmo de nuestra tierra para los levitas; y que los levitas recibirían el décimo de nuestras labores en todas las ciudades.

38 A nd the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when receive tithes, and shall bring one-tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, into the storehouse.

Un sacerdote, hijo de Aarón, estaría con los levitas cuando estos recibieran el diezmo; y que los levitas llevarían el diezmo del diezmo a la casa de nuestro Dios, a los depósitos de la casa del tesoro.

39 F or the Israelites and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of grain, new wine, and oil to the chambers where the vessels of the sanctuary are, along with the priests who minister and the gatekeepers and singers. We will not forsake or neglect the house of our God.

Porque a los depósitos del tesoro han de llevar los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Leví la ofrenda del grano, del vino y del aceite; y allí estarán los utensilios del santuario, los sacerdotes que ministran, los porteros y los cantores. Y prometimos no abandonar la casa de nuestro Dios.
