1 A nd the Lord said to Moses,

Habló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

2 S ay to Aaron, When you set up and light the lamps, the seven lamps shall be made to give light in front of the lampstand.

«Habla a Aarón y dile: Cuando enciendas las lámparas, las siete lámparas del candelabro alumbrarán hacia adelante.»

3 A nd Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps of the lampstand to give light in front of it, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Aarón lo hizo así: colocó las lámparas en la parte anterior del candelabro, tal como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés.

4 A nd this was the workmanship of the candlestick: beaten or turned gold, beaten work from its base to its flowers; according to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.

El candelabro estaba hecho de oro labrado a martillo; desde el pie hasta las flores era labrado a martillo. Conforme al modelo que Jehová le mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro. Consagración de los levitas

5 A nd the Lord said to Moses,

Jehová habló a Moisés y le dijo:

6 T ake the Levites from among the Israelites and cleanse them.

«Aparta a los levitas de entre los demás hijos de Israel, y haz expiación por ellos.

7 A nd thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification upon them, and let them pass a razor over all their flesh and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves.

Así harás para purificarlos: Rocía sobre ellos el agua de la expiación y haz pasar la navaja por todo su cuerpo; ellos lavarán sus vestidos y así quedarán purificados.

8 T hen let them take a young bull and its cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.

Luego tomarán un novillo, con su ofrenda de flor de harina amasada con aceite, y tú tomarás otro novillo para la expiación.

9 Y ou shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting, and you shall assemble the whole Israelite congregation.

Harás que los levitas se acerquen al Tabernáculo de reunión, y reunirás a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel.

10 A nd you shall present the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites shall put their hands upon the Levites,

Cuando hayas acercado a los levitas a la presencia de Jehová, pondrán los hijos de Israel sus manos sobre los levitas.

11 A nd Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites and on their behalf, that they may do the service of the Lord.

Entonces presentará Aarón a los levitas delante de Jehová como ofrenda de los hijos de Israel, y servirán en el ministerio de Jehová.

12 T hen the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.

Después los levitas pondrán sus manos sobre las cabezas de los novillos: uno lo ofrecerás como expiación y el otro como holocausto a Jehová, para hacer expiación por los levitas.

13 A nd you shall present the Levites before Aaron and his sons and offer them as a wave offering to the Lord.

Colocarás luego a los levitas delante de Aarón y de sus hijos, y los presentarás como ofrenda a Jehová.

14 T hus you shall separate the Levites from among the Israelites, and the Levites shall be Mine.

Así apartarás a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y serán míos los levitas.

15 A nd after that the Levites shall go in to do service at the Tent of Meeting, when you have cleansed them and offered them as a wave offering.

Después de eso vendrán los levitas a ministrar en el Tabernáculo de reunión. Serán purificados y los presentarás como una ofrenda.

16 F or they are wholly given to Me from among the Israelites; instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of all the Israelites, I have taken the Levites for Myself.

Porque enteramente me son dedicados a mí los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, en lugar de todo primer nacido; los he tomado para mí en lugar de los primogénitos de todos los hijos de Israel.

17 F or all the firstborn of the Israelites are Mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated them and set them apart for Myself.

Porque mío es todo primogénito de entre los hijos de Israel, así de hombres como de animales; desde el día en que yo herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para mí.

18 A nd I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the Israelites.

Y he tomado a los levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel.

19 A nd I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the Israelites to do the service of the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting and to make atonement for them, that there may be no plague among the Israelites if they should come near the sanctuary.

Yo he dado los levitas, como un don, a Aarón y a sus hijos, de entre los hijos de Israel, para que ejerzan el ministerio de los hijos de Israel en el Tabernáculo de reunión, y reconcilien a los hijos de Israel, y no haya plaga entre los hijos de Israel cuando se acerquen al santuario.»

20 S o Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the Israelites did thus to the Levites; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning, so did the Israelites to them.

Moisés, Aarón y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel hicieron con los levitas conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas; así hicieron con ellos los hijos de Israel.

21 T he Levites cleansed and purified themselves and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the Lord and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

Los levitas se purificaron y lavaron sus vestidos. Luego Aarón los presentó como ofrenda delante de Jehová, e hizo expiación por ellos para purificarlos.

22 A nd after that the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting with the attendance of Aaron and his sons; as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

Después de esto, los levitas fueron para ejercer su ministerio en el Tabernáculo de reunión delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos. De la manera que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así hicieron con ellos.

23 A nd the Lord said to Moses,

Luego habló Jehová a Moisés diciendo:

24 T his is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the work of the service of the Tent of Meeting,

«Los levitas de veinticinco años para arriba entrarán a ejercer su ministerio en el servicio del Tabernáculo de reunión.

25 A nd at the age of fifty years, they shall retire from the warfare of the service and serve no more,

Pero desde los cincuenta años dejarán de ejercer su ministerio, y nunca más lo ejercerán.

26 B ut shall help their brethren in the Tent of Meeting, but shall do no regular or heavy service. Thus shall you direct the Levites in regard to their duties.

Servirán con sus hermanos en el Tabernáculo de reunión, para hacer la guardia, pero no servirán en el ministerio. Así harás con los levitas en cuanto a su ministerio.»
