1 M oreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 A nd you son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloodshedding city? Then cause her to know all her abominations,

«Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú a la ciudad sanguinaria y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones?

3 A nd say, Thus says the Lord God: A city that sheds blood in the midst of her so that her time will come, and makes idols to defile her!

Le dirás, pues: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: ¡Ciudad que derrama sangre dentro de sí misma para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!

4 I n your blood which you have shed you have become guilty, and you are defiled by the idols which you have made, and you have caused your time to draw near and have arrived at the full measure of your years. Therefore have I made you a reproach to the nations and a mocking to all countries.

En tu sangre que derramaste has pecado y te has contaminado con tus ídolos que hiciste; has hecho que tu día se acerque y has llegado al término de tus años; por tanto, te he dado en oprobio a las naciones, en escarnio a todas las tierras.

5 T hose who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you infamous one, full of tumult.

Las que están cerca de ti y las que están lejos se reirán de ti, amancillada de nombre y de gran turbación.

6 B ehold, the princes of Israel in you, every one according to his power, have been intending to shed blood.

»”He aquí que los gobernantes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, se esfuerzan en derramar sangre.

7 I n you have they treated father and mother lightly; in the midst of you they have dealt unjustly and by oppression in relation to the stranger; in you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.

Al padre y a la madre despreciaron en ti; al extranjero trataron con violencia en medio de ti, y en ti despojaron al huérfano y a la viuda.

8 Y ou have despised and scorned My sacred things and have profaned My Sabbaths.

Mis santuarios menospreciaste y mis sábados has profanado.

9 I n you are slanderous men who arouse suspicions to shed blood, and in you are they who have eaten upon the mountains; in the midst of you they have committed lewdness.

Calumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre; en ti comieron sobre los montes y en medio de ti hicieron perversidades.

10 I n you men have uncovered their fathers’ nakedness; in you they have humbled women who are unclean.

La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti, y en ti hicieron violencia a la que estaba impura por su menstruo.

11 A nd one has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law, and another in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.

Cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo, cada uno contaminó pervertidamente a su nuera y cada uno violó en ti a su hermana, la hija de su padre.

12 I n you they have accepted bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained from your neighbors by oppression and extortion and have forgotten Me, says the Lord God.

Precio recibieron en ti para derramar sangre; interés y usura tomaste, y a tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia. ¡Te olvidaste de mí!, dice Jehová, el Señor.

13 B ehold therefore, I have struck My hands together at your dishonest gain which you have made and at the blood which has been in the midst of you.

»”Y batí mis manos a causa de la avaricia con que actuaste y a causa de la sangre que derramaste en medio de ti.

14 C an your heart and courage endure or can your hands be strong in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿Serán fuertes tus manos en los días en que yo proceda contra ti? Yo, Jehová, he hablado, y lo haré.

15 A nd I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you through the countries, and I will consume your filthiness out of you.

Te dispersaré por las naciones, te esparciré por los países y eliminaré de ti tu impureza.

16 A nd you shall be dishonored and profane yourself in the sight of the nations, and you shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

Y por ti misma serás degradada a la vista de las naciones. Y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.”»

17 A nd the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

18 S on of man, the house of Israel has become to Me scum and waste matter. All of them are bronze and tin and iron and lead in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.

«Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha convertido en escoria. Todos ellos son bronce, estaño, hierro y plomo en medio del horno; y en escorias de plata se han convertido.

19 T herefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have all become scum and waste matter, behold therefore, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: “Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis convertido en escorias, por eso, yo os reuniré en medio de Jerusalén.

20 A s they gather silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it in order to melt it, so will I gather you in My anger and in My wrath, and I will put you in and melt you.

Como quien junta plata, bronce, hierro, plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundirlos, así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira. Os pondré allí y os fundiré.

21 Y es, I will gather you and blow upon you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst of it.

Yo os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.

22 A s silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it, and you shall know, understand, and realize that I the Lord have poured out My wrath upon you.

Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así, en medio de él, seréis fundidos. Así sabréis que yo, Jehová, habré derramado mi ira sobre vosotros.”»

23 A nd the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

24 S on of man, say to her, You are a land that is not cleansed nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

«Hijo de hombre, dile a ella: “Tú no eres tierra limpia ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.

25 T here is a conspiracy of prophets in the midst of her, like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her.

Hay conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como de león rugiente que arrebata la presa. Devoraron vidas, tomaron haciendas y honra, multiplicaron sus viudas en medio de ella.

26 H er priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things. They have made no distinction between the sacred and the secular, neither have they taught people the difference between the unclean and the clean and have hid their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Sus sacerdotes violaron mi Ley y contaminaron mis santuarios; entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni distinguieron entre inmundo y limpio. De mis sábados apartaron sus ojos, y yo he sido profanado en medio de ellos.

27 H er princes in the midst of her are like wolves rending and devouring the prey, shedding blood and destroying lives to get dishonest gain.

Sus jefes en medio de ella son como lobos que arrebatan la presa: derraman sangre para destruir las vidas, para obtener ganancias injustas.

28 A nd her prophets have daubed them over with whitewash, seeing false visions and divining lies to them, saying, Thus says the Lord God—when the Lord has not spoken.

Sus profetas recubrían con lodo suelto, profetizando vanidad y prediciéndoles mentira, diciendo: ‘Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor’, y Jehová no había hablado.

29 T he people of the land have used oppression and extortion and have committed robbery; yes, they have wronged and vexed the poor and needy; yes, they have oppressed the stranger and temporary resident wrongfully.

El pueblo de la tierra oprimía y robaba; al afligido y necesitado hacía violencia y al extranjero oprimía contra derecho.

30 A nd I sought a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

Busqué entre ellos un hombre que levantara una muralla y que se pusiera en la brecha delante de mí, a favor de la tierra, para que yo no la destruyera; pero no lo hallé.

31 T herefore have I poured out My indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their own way have I repaid upon their own heads, says the Lord God.

Por tanto, derramé sobre ellos mi ira. Con el ardor de mi ira los consumí; hice volver el camino de ellos sobre su propia cabeza, dice Jehová, el Señor.”»
