1 A nd to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God '> the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but you are dead.

2 R ouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done meeting the requirements of My God or perfect in His sight.

Sé vigilante y confirma las otras cosas que están para morir, porque no he hallado tus obras bien acabadas delante de Dios.

3 S o call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves and keep awake and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know or suspect at what hour I will come.

Acuérdate, pues, de lo que has recibido y oído; guárdalo y arrepiéntete, pues si no velas vendré sobre ti como ladrón y no sabrás a qué hora vendré sobre ti.

4 Y et you still have a few names in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes, and they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy and deserving.

Pero tienes unas pocas personas en Sardis que no han manchado sus vestiduras y andarán conmigo en vestiduras blancas, porque son dignas.

5 T hus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.

El vencedor será vestido de vestiduras blancas, y no borraré su nombre del libro de la vida, y confesaré su nombre delante de mi Padre y delante de sus ángeles.

6 H e who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).

7 A nd to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the Holy One, the True One, He Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shall shut, Who shuts and no one shall open:

»Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia: »“Esto dice el Santo, el Verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y ninguno cierra, y cierra y ninguno abre:

8 I know your works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name.

»”‘Yo conozco tus obras. Por eso, he puesto delante de ti una puerta abierta, la cual nadie puede cerrar, pues aunque tienes poca fuerza, has guardado mi palabra y no has negado mi nombre.

9 T ake note! I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and learn and acknowledge that I have loved you.

De la sinagoga de Satanás, de los que dicen ser judíos y no lo son, sino que mienten, te daré algunos. Yo haré que vengan y se postren a tus pies reconociendo que yo te he amado.

10 B ecause you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance '> lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you], I also will keep you from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth.

Por cuanto has guardado la palabra de mi paciencia, yo también te guardaré de la hora de la prueba que ha de venir sobre el mundo entero para probar a los que habitan sobre la tierra.

11 I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you and deprive you of your crown.

Vengo pronto; retén lo que tienes, para que ninguno tome tu corona.

12 H e who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God; he shall never be put out of it or go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which descends from My God out of heaven, and My own new name.

Al vencedor yo lo haré columna en el templo de mi Dios y nunca más saldrá de allí. Escribiré sobre él el nombre de mi Dios y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalén, la cual desciende del cielo, con mi Dios, y mi nombre nuevo.

13 H e who can hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.’” El mensaje a Laodicea

14 A nd to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation:

»Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Laodicea: »“El Amén, el testigo fiel y verdadero, el Principio de la creación de Dios, dice esto:

15 I know your works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!

»”‘Yo conozco tus obras, que ni eres frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueras frío o caliente!

16 S o, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!

Pero por cuanto eres tibio y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca.

17 F or you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

Tú dices: Yo soy rico, me he enriquecido y de nada tengo necesidad. Pero no sabes que eres desventurado, miserable, pobre, ciego y estás desnudo.

18 T herefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.

Por tanto, yo te aconsejo que compres de mí oro refinado en el fuego para que seas rico, y vestiduras blancas para vestirte, para que no se descubra la vergüenza de tu desnudez. Y unge tus ojos con colirio para que veas.

19 T hose whom I love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent.

Yo reprendo y castigo a todos los que amo; sé, pues, celoso y arrepiéntete.

20 B ehold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he with Me.

Yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él y cenaré con él y él conmigo.

21 H e who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.

Al vencedor le concederé que se siente conmigo en mi trono, así como yo he vencido y me he sentado con mi Padre en su trono.

22 H e who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.’”»
