1 A nd the man brought me to the temple and measured the wall pillars, six cubits broad on one side and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle or tent.

2 A nd the breadth of the entrance was ten cubits, and the leaves of the door were five cubits on the one side and five cubits on the other side; and he measured its length, forty cubits, and its breadth, twenty cubits.

La anchura de la puerta era de diez codos, y los lados de la puerta, de cinco codos por un lado y cinco por el otro. Midió su longitud, que era de cuarenta codos, y la anchura de veinte codos.

3 T hen the man went inside and measured each post of the door, two cubits, the doorway, six cubits, and the breadth of the entrance, seven cubits.

Luego pasó al interior y midió cada poste de la puerta, que eran de dos codos; la puerta, de seis codos, y la anchura de la entrada, de siete codos.

4 A nd he measured the length in the temple proper, twenty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits; and he said to me, This is the Most Holy Place (the Holy of Holies).

Midió también su longitud, y era de veinte codos; y la anchura, de veinte codos por el frente del templo. Y me dijo: «Éste es el lugar santísimo.»

5 T hen he measured the wall of the temple, six cubits thick; and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the temple proper on every side.

Después midió el muro de la casa, y era de seis codos de espesor; y de cuatro codos era la anchura de las cámaras situadas todo alrededor de la casa.

6 T hese side chambers were three stories high, one over another and thirty in each story; and they entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold of the wall, but they did not have hold of the wall of the temple.

Las cámaras laterales estaban sobrepuestas unas a otras, treinta en cada uno de los tres pisos. Y había salientes en la pared, alrededor de la casa; sobre ellos se apoyaban las cámaras, para que no se apoyaran en la pared de la casa.

7 A nd the side rooms became broader as they encompassed the temple higher and higher, for the encircling of the house went higher and higher round about the temple; therefore the breadth of the house continued upward, and so one went up from the lowest story to the highest one by way of the middle story.

Había mayor anchura en las cámaras de más arriba, a las que subía una escalera de caracol rodeando por dentro de la casa. Así pues, la casa tenía más anchura por arriba; del piso inferior se podía subir al de en medio, y de éste al superior.

8 I saw also that the temple had an elevation or foundation platform round about it. The foundations of the side chambers measured a full reed measure of six long cubits.

Y miré la elevación que rodeaba la casa: los cimientos de las cámaras medían una caña completa de seis codos de largo.

9 T he thickness of the outer wall of the side chamber was five cubits, as was the width of that part of the foundation that was left free of the side chambers that belonged to the house.

El espesor de la pared de afuera de las cámaras era de cinco codos, igual al espacio que quedaba de las cámaras de la casa por dentro.

10 A nd between the chambers was a breadth of twenty cubits round about the temple on every side.

Y entre las cámaras había una anchura de veinte codos por todos los lados alrededor de la casa.

11 A nd the doors of the attached side chambers opened on the free space that was left, one door toward the north and another door toward the south; and the breadth of the space on the foundation platform that was left free was five cubits round about.

La puerta de cada cámara salía al espacio que quedaba, una puerta hacia el norte y otra puerta hacia el sur; y el ancho del espacio que quedaba era de cinco codos, todo alrededor.

12 A nd the building that faced the temple yard on the west side was seventy cubits broad, and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and its length ninety cubits.

El edificio que estaba delante del espacio abierto al lado del occidente era de setenta codos; y la pared del edificio tenía cinco codos de grueso, todo alrededor, y noventa codos de largo.

13 A nd the man measured the temple, a hundred cubits long; and the yard and the building with its walls, a hundred cubits long;

Luego midió la casa, y tenía cien codos de largo. Y el espacio abierto, y el edificio y sus paredes eran de cien codos de longitud.

14 A lso the breadth of the east front of the temple and the yard, a hundred cubits.

El ancho del frente de la casa y del espacio abierto al oriente era de cien codos.

15 T hen the man measured the length of the building on the west side of the yard with its walls on either side, a hundred cubits. The Holy Place of the temple, the inner Holy of Holies, and the outer vestibule

16 W ere roofed over, and all three had latticed windows all around. The inside walls of the temple were paneled with wood round about from the floor up to the windows and from the windows to the roof,

17 I ncluding the space above the door leading to the inner room, inside and out. And on the walls round about in the inner room and the Holy Place were carvings,

Midió desde la puerta hasta el interior de la casa, y por fuera, así como toda la pared en derredor, por dentro y por fuera.

18 W ith figures of cherubim and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces,

Y estaba labrada con querubines y palmeras: entre querubín y querubín, una palmera. Cada querubín tenía dos rostros:

19 S o that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. It was made this way through all the house round about.

un rostro de hombre hacia la palmera de un lado, y un rostro de león hacia la palmera del otro lado, alrededor de toda la casa.

20 F rom the floor to above the entrance were cherubim and palm trees made, and also on the wall of the temple.

21 T he door frames of the temple were squared, and in front was what appeared to be

Cada poste del templo era cuadrado, y el frente del santuario era como el otro frente.

22 A n altar of wood, three cubits high and two cubits long; and its corners, its base, and its sides were of wood. And the man said to me, This is the table that is before the Lord.

La altura del altar de madera era de tres codos, y su longitud, de dos codos; sus esquinas, su superficie y sus paredes eran de madera. Me dijo: «Ésta es la mesa que está delante de Jehová.»

23 A nd the temple or Holy Place and the sanctuary or Holy of Holies, had two doors.

El templo y el santuario tenían dos puertas.

24 A nd the doors had two leaves apiece, two folding leaves—two leaves for the one door and two leaves for the other door.

Y en cada puerta había dos hojas, dos hojas que giraban; dos hojas en una puerta y otras dos en la otra.

25 A nd there were carved on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubim and palm trees, like those carved upon the walls; and there was also a canopy of wood in front of the porch outside.

En las puertas del templo había grabados de querubines y palmeras, iguales a los que había en las paredes. Había un portal de madera por fuera, a la entrada,

26 A nd there were recessed windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side of the porch. Thus were the side chambers and the canopies of the house.

y había ventanas estrechas y palmeras a uno y otro lado, a los lados del pórtico. Así eran las cámaras de la casa y los umbrales.
