1 T he sin of Judah is written with a pen or stylus of iron and with the point of a diamond; it is engraved on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars,

»El pecado de Judá está escrito con cincel de hierro y con punta de diamante; está esculpido en la tabla de su corazón y en los cuernos de sus altares,

2 W hile their children remember their altars and their Asherim beside the green trees upon the high hills.

como un recuerdo para sus hijos. Sus altares y sus imágenes de Asera están junto a los árboles frondosos y en los collados altos,

3 O My mountain in the field, I will give your wealth and all your treasures to the spoil and your high places for sin throughout all your territory.

en las montañas y sobre el campo. Todos tus tesoros entregaré al pillaje por el pecado de tus lugares altos en todo tu territorio.

4 A nd you, through your own fault, will loosen your hand and discontinue from your heritage which I gave you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in a land which you do not know, for you have kindled a fire in My anger which will burn throughout the ages.

Perderás la heredad que yo te di, y te haré servir a tus enemigos en tierra que no has conocido, porque en mi furor habéis encendido un fuego que arderá para siempre.»

5 T hus says the Lord: Cursed is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.

Así ha dicho Jehová: «¡Maldito aquel que confía en el hombre, que pone su confianza en la fuerza humana, mientras su corazón se aparta de Jehová!

6 F or he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

Será como la retama en el desierto, y no verá cuando llegue el bien, sino que morará en los sequedales en el desierto, en tierra despoblada y deshabitada.

7 b lessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.

»¡Bendito el hombre que confía en Jehová, cuya confianza está puesta en Jehová!,

8 F or he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.

porque será como el árbol plantado junto a las aguas, que junto a la corriente echará sus raíces. No temerá cuando llegue el calor, sino que su hoja estará verde. En el año de sequía no se inquietará ni dejará de dar fruto.

9 T he heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it ?

»Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, y perverso; ¿quién lo conocerá?

10 I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

¡Yo, Jehová, que escudriño la mente, que pruebo el corazón, para dar a cada uno según su camino, según el fruto de sus obras!»

11 L ike the partridge that gathers a brood which she did not hatch and sits on eggs which she has not laid, so is he who gets riches by unjust means and not by right. He will leave them, or they will leave him, in the midst of his days, and at his end he will be a fool.

Como la perdiz que cubre lo que no puso, es el que injustamente amontona riquezas: en la mitad de sus días las dejará, y en su final será un insensato.

12 A glorious throne, set on high from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary (the temple).

Trono de gloria, excelso desde el principio, es el lugar de nuestro santuario.

13 O Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who forsake You shall be put to shame. They who depart from You and me shall writing upon the ground, because they have forsaken the Lord, the Fountain of living waters.

¡Jehová, esperanza de Israel!, todos los que te dejan serán avergonzados, y los que se apartan de ti serán inscritos en el polvo, porque dejaron a Jehová, manantial de aguas vivas.

14 H eal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.

Sáname, Jehová, y quedaré sano; sálvame, y seré salvo, porque tú eres mi alabanza.

15 B ehold, they say to me, Where is the word of the Lord ? Let it come now!

La gente me dice: «¿Dónde está la palabra de Jehová? ¡Que se cumpla ahora!»

16 B ut as for me, I have not sought to escape from being a shepherd after You, nor have I desired the woeful day; You know that. Whatever I said was spoken in Your presence and was from You.

Mas yo no he ido en pos de ti para incitarte a castigarlos, ni deseé el día de la calamidad; tú lo sabes. Lo que de mi boca ha salido, fue en tu presencia.

17 B e not a terror to me; You are my refuge and my hope in the day of evil.

No me seas tú por espanto, pues mi refugio eres tú en el día malo.

18 L et those be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed. Bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Avergüéncense los que me persiguen, y no sea yo avergonzado; asómbrense ellos, y yo no me asombre; trae sobre ellos el día malo y quebrántalos con doble quebranto. Observancia del sábado

19 T hus said the Lord to me: Go and stand in the gate of the sons of the people, through which the kings of Judah enter and through which they go out, and also in all the gates of Jerusalem.

Así me ha dicho Jehová: «Ve y ponte a la puerta de los Hijos del pueblo, por la cual entran y salen los reyes de Judá; ponte en todas las puertas de Jerusalén,

20 S ay to them, Hear the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem who enter through these gates.

y diles: “¡Oíd la palabra de Jehová, reyes de Judá, todo Judá y todos los habitantes de Jerusalén que entráis por estas puertas!

21 T hus says the Lord: Take heed to yourselves and for the sake of your lives bear no burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in through the gates of Jerusalem.

Así ha dicho Jehová: Guardaos por vuestra vida de llevar carga en sábado y de meterla por las puertas de Jerusalén.

22 A nd do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy (set apart to the worship of God), as I commanded your fathers.

No saquéis carga de vuestras casas en sábado, ni hagáis trabajo alguno, sino santificad el sábado, como mandé a vuestros padres.

23 Y et they would not listen and obey or incline their ears; but they stiffened their necks, that they might not hear and might not receive instruction.

Pero ellos no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído, sino que endurecieron su corazón para no escuchar ni recibir corrección.

24 B ut if you diligently listen to and obey Me, says the Lord, and bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy (set apart to the worship of God), to do no work on it,

»”No obstante, si vosotros me obedecéis, dice Jehová, no metiendo carga por las puertas de esta ciudad en sábado, sino que santificáis el sábado y no hacéis en él ningún trabajo,

25 T hen there will enter through the gates of this city kings and princes who will sit upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses—the kings and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city will be inhabited and last throughout the ages.

entrarán por las puertas de esta ciudad, en carros y en caballos, los reyes y los príncipes que se sientan sobre el trono de David, ellos y sus príncipes, los hombres de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalén; y esta ciudad será habitada para siempre.

26 A nd people shall come from the cities of Judah and the places round about Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country, and from the South (the Negeb), bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, cereal offerings and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving to the house of the Lord.

Y vendrán de las ciudades de Judá, de los alrededores de Jerusalén, de la tierra de Benjamín, de la Sefela, de los montes y del Neguev, trayendo holocausto y sacrificio, ofrenda e incienso, y trayendo sacrificio de alabanza a la casa de Jehová.

27 B ut if you will not listen to Me to keep the Sabbath day holy (set apart to the worship of God), and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in her gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

Pero si no me obedecéis para santificar el sábado, para no traer carga ni meterla por las puertas de Jerusalén en sábado, yo haré descender fuego en sus puertas, que consumirá los palacios de Jerusalén y no se apagará.”»
