1 T hen he brought me again to the door of the house, and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple was toward the east; and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the temple, on the south side of the altar.

Me hizo volver luego a la entrada de la casa. Y vi que salían aguas por debajo del umbral de la casa hacia el oriente, porque la fachada de la casa estaba al oriente; y las aguas descendían por debajo, hacia el lado derecho de la casa, al sur del altar.

2 T hen he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around outside to the outer gate by the way that faces east, and behold, waters were running out on the right side.

Me sacó por el camino de la puerta del norte y me hizo dar la vuelta por el camino exterior, fuera de la puerta, al camino de la que mira al oriente; y vi que las aguas salían del lado derecho.

3 A nd when the man went on eastward with the measuring line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were ankle-deep.

Salió el hombre hacia el oriente, llevando un cordel en la mano. Midió mil codos y me hizo pasar por las aguas, que me llegaban hasta los tobillos.

4 A gain he measured a thousand cubits and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that reached to the knees. Again he measured a thousand cubits and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that reached to the loins.

Midió otros mil y me hizo pasar por las aguas, que me llegaban hasta las rodillas. Midió luego otros mil y me hizo pasar por las aguas, que me llegaban hasta la cintura.

5 A fterward he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass through, for the waters had risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over or through.

Midió otros mil, y era ya un río que yo no podía pasar, porque las aguas habían crecido de manera que el río no se podía pasar sino a nado.

6 A nd he said to me, Son of man, have you seen this? Then he led me and caused me to return to the bank of the river.

Y me dijo: «¿Has visto, hijo de hombre?» Después me llevó, y me hizo volver por la ribera del río.

7 N ow when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

Y al volver vi que en la ribera del río había muchísimos árboles a uno y otro lado.

8 T hen he said to me, These waters pour out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah (the Jordan Valley) and on into the Dead Sea. And when they shall enter into the sea, the waters shall be healed and made fresh.

Entonces me dijo: «Estas aguas salen a la región del oriente, descienden al Arabá y entran en el mar. Y al entrar en el mar, las aguas son saneadas.

9 A nd wherever the double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that may be healed and made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.

Todo ser viviente que nade por dondequiera que entren estos dos ríos, vivirá; y habrá muchísimos peces por haber entrado allá estas aguas, pues serán saneadas. Vivirá todo lo que entre en este río.

10 T he fishermen shall stand on; from En-gedi even to En-eglaim shall be a place to spread nets; their fish shall be of very many kinds, as the fish of the Great or Mediterranean Sea.

Junto a él estarán los pescadores, y desde En-gadi hasta En-eglaim será su tendedero de redes. Y los peces, según su especie, serán tan abundantes como los peces del Mar Grande.

11 B ut its swamps and marshes will not become wholesome for animal life; they shall be left encrusted with salt and given over to it.

Sus pantanos y sus lagunas no serán saneadas: quedarán para salinas.

12 A nd on the banks of the river on both its sides, there shall grow all kinds of trees for food; their leaf shall not fade nor shall their fruit fail. Each tree shall bring forth new fruit every month, because their waters came from out of the sanctuary. And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing.

Y junto al río, en la ribera, a uno y otro lado, crecerá toda clase de árboles frutales; sus hojas nunca caerán ni faltará su fruto. A su tiempo madurará, porque sus aguas salen del santuario. Su fruto será para alimento y su hoja para medicina. Límites y repartición de la tierra

13 T hus says the Lord God: These shall be the boundaries by which you shall divide the land among the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

»Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Éstos son los límites según los cuales repartiréis la tierra por heredad entre las doce tribus de Israel. José tendrá dos partes.

14 A nd you shall divide it equally. I lifted up My hand and swore to give it to your fathers, and this land shall fall to you as your inheritance.

La heredaréis tanto los unos como los otros; por ella alcé mi mano para jurar que la había de dar a vuestros padres; por tanto, ésta será la tierra de vuestra heredad.

15 A nd this shall be the boundary of the land on the north side: from the Great or Mediterranean Sea by way of Hethlon to the entrance of Zedad,

»Éste será el límite de la tierra hacia el lado del norte: desde el Mar Grande, camino de Hetlón viniendo a Zedad,

16 H amath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is on the border between Damascus and Hamath, as far as Hazer-hatticon on the border of Hauran.

Hamat, Berota, Sibraim, que está entre el límite de Damasco y el límite de Hamat; Hazar-haticón, que es el límite de Haurán.

17 S o the boundary shall extend from the Sea to Hazar-enan, at the boundary of Damascus on the north, together with the boundary of Hamath to the north. This is the north side.

Y será el límite del norte desde el mar hasta Hazar-enán en el límite de Damasco al norte, y al límite de Hamat al lado del norte.

18 A nd on the east side you shall measure the boundary from between Hauran and Damascus, and Gilead on one side and the land of Israel on the other, with the Jordan forming the boundary down to the East or Dead Sea. And this is the east side.

»Del lado del oriente, en medio de Haurán y de Damasco, y de Galaad y de la tierra de Israel, al Jordán; esto mediréis como límite hasta el mar oriental.

19 A nd the south side southward, from Tamar shall run as far as the waters of Meribath-kadesh, then along the Brook of Egypt to the Great or Mediterranean Sea. And this is the south side.

»Del lado meridional, hacia el sur, desde Tamar hasta las aguas de las rencillas; desde Cades hacia el arroyo y hasta el Mar Grande. Éste será el lado meridional, el sur.

20 O n the west side shall be the Great or Mediterranean Sea to a point opposite the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.

»Del lado del occidente, el Mar Grande será el límite hasta enfrente de la entrada de Hamat; éste será el lado occidental. Reparto de la tierra

21 S o you shall divide this land among you according to the tribes of Israel.

»Repartiréis, pues, esta tierra entre vosotros, según las tribus de Israel.

22 Y ou shall divide it by allotment as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners who reside among you and shall have children born among you. They shall be to you as those born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall inherit with you among the tribes of Israel.

Echaréis sobre ella suertes por heredad para vosotros y para los extranjeros que viven entre vosotros, aquellos que entre vosotros han engendrado hijos. Los tendréis como a iguales entre los hijos de Israel, echarán suertes con vosotros para tener heredad entre las tribus de Israel.

23 I n whatever tribe the foreigner resides, there shall you give him his inheritance, says the Lord God.

En la tribu en que viva el extranjero, allí le daréis su heredad, ha dicho Jehová, el Señor.
