1 U nto You do I lift up my eyes, O You Who are enthroned in heaven.

A ti alcé mis ojos, a ti que habitas en los cielos.

2 B ehold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, and as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He has mercy and loving-kindness for us.

Como los ojos de los siervos miran la mano de sus señores, y como los ojos de la sierva, la mano de su señora, así miran nuestros ojos a Jehová, nuestro Dios, hasta que tenga misericordia de nosotros.

3 H ave mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on and loving-kindness for us, for we are exceedingly satiated with contempt.

Ten misericordia de nosotros, Jehová, ten misericordia de nosotros, porque estamos muy hastiados del menosprecio.

4 O ur life is exceedingly filled with the scorning and scoffing of those who are at ease and with the contempt of the proud (irresponsible tyrants who disregard God’s law).

Hastiada está nuestra alma de la burla de los que están satisfechos, y del menosprecio de los soberbios.
