4 O ne generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.

Que chaque génération célèbre tes oeuvres, Et publie tes hauts faits!

5 O n the glorious splendor of Your majesty And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.

Je dirai la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté; Je chanterai tes merveilles.

6 M en shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness.

On parlera de ta puissance redoutable, Et je raconterai ta grandeur.

7 T hey shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.

Qu'on proclame le souvenir de ton immense bonté, Et qu'on célèbre ta justice!

8 T he Lord is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.

L'Éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, Lent à la colère et plein de bonté.

9 T he Lord is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works.

L'Éternel est bon envers tous, Et ses compassions s'étendent sur toutes ses oeuvres.

10 A ll Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, And Your godly ones shall bless You.

Toutes tes oeuvres te loueront, ô Éternel! Et tes fidèles te béniront.

11 T hey shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom And talk of Your power;

Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, Et ils proclameront ta puissance,

12 T o make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.

Pour faire connaître aux fils de l'homme ta puissance Et la splendeur glorieuse de ton règne.

13 Y our kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, Et ta domination subsiste dans tous les âges.

14 T he Lord sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down.

L'Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.

15 T he eyes of all look to You, And You give them their food in due time.

Les yeux de tous espèrent en toi, Et tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.

16 Y ou open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Tu ouvres ta main, Et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui a vie.

17 T he Lord is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds.

L'Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, Et miséricordieux dans toutes ses oeuvres.

18 T he Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

L'Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, De tous ceux qui l'invoquent avec sincérité;

19 H e will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.

Il accomplit les désirs de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri et il les sauve.

20 T he Lord keeps all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.

L'Éternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, Et il détruit tous les méchants.

21 M y mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

Que ma bouche publie la louange de l'Éternel, Et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, A toujours et à perpétuité!
