1 А преди празника на пасхата, Исус, знаейки, че е настанал часът Му да премине от този свят към Отца, като беше възлюбил Своите, които бяха на света, до край ги възлюби.

Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.

2 И когато беше готова вечерята, (като вече дяволът беше внушил в сърцето на Юда Симонова Искариотски да Го предаде),

And during supper, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariote, that he should deliver him up,

3 к ато знаеше Исус, че Отец, е предал всичко в ръцете Му, и че от Бога е излязъл и при Бога отива,

knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came out from God and was going to God,

4 с тана от вечерята, сложи мантията Си Гръцки: Дрехите си.>, взе престилка и се препаса.

rises from supper and lays aside his garments, and having taken a linen towel he girded himself:

5 П осле наля вода в омивалника и почна да мие нозете на учениците и да ги изтрива с престилката, с която бе препасан.

then he pours water into the washhand basin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the linen towel with which he was girded.

6 И тъй дохожда при Симона Петра. Той Му казва: Господи, Ти ли ще ми омиеш нозете?

He comes therefore to Simon Peter; and he says to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

7 И сус в отговор му рече: Това, което Аз правя, ти сега не знаеш, но отпосле ще разбереш.

Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou dost not know now, but thou shalt know hereafter.

8 П етър Му каза: Ти няма да омиеш моите нозе до века. Исус му отговори: Ако не те омия нямаш дял с Мене.

Peter says to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash thee, thou hast not part with me.

9 С имон Петър Му казва: Господи, не само нозете ми, но и ръцете и главата.

Simon Peter says to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

10 И сус му казва: Който се е окъпал няма нужда да омие друго освен нозете си, но е цял чист и вие сте чисти, но не всички.

Jesus says to him, He that is washed all over needs not to wash save his feet, but is wholly clean; and ye are clean, but not all.

11 З ащото Той знаеше онзи, който щеше да Го предаде; затова и рече: Не всички сте чисти.

For he knew him that delivered him up: on account of this he said, Ye are not all clean.

12 А като оми нозете им и си взе мантията седна пак и рече им: Знаете ли какво ви сторих?

When therefore he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, having sat down again, he said to them, Do ye know what I have done to you?

13 В ие Ме наричате Учител и Господ; и добре казвате, защото съм такъв.

Ye call me the Teacher and the Lord, and ye say well, for I am.

14 И тъй, ако Аз, Господ и Учител, ви омих нозете, то и вие сте длъжни един на друг да си миете нозете.

If I therefore, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet;

15 " Не бой се дъщерьо Сионова. Ето твоят Цар иде, Възседнал на осле":

for I have given you an example that, as I have done to you, ye should do also.

16 И стина, истина ви казвам, слугата не е по-горен от господаря си, нито пратеникът е по-горен от онзи, който го е изпратил.

Verily, verily, I say to you, The bondman is not greater than his lord, nor the sent greater than he who has sent him.

17 К ато знаете това, блажени сте, ако го изпълнявате.

If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.

18 Н е говоря за всички вас; Аз зная кои съм избрал; но това стана, за да се сбъдне писаното: +Който яде хляба Ми, той дигна своята пета против Мене.

I speak not of you all. I know those whom I have chosen; but that the scripture might be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.

19 О тсега ви казвам това нещо преди да е станало, та когато стане да повярвате, че съм Аз това, което рекох.

I tell you now before it happens, that when it happens, ye may believe that I am.

20 И стина, истина ви казвам, който приеме онзи, когото Аз пращам, Мене приема; и който приема Мене, приема Този, Който Ме е пратил.

Verily, verily, I say to you, He who receives whomsoever I shall send receives me; and he that receives me receives him who has sent me.

21 К ато рече това, Исус се развълнува в духа Си, и заяви, казвайки: Истина, истина ви казвам, че един от вас ще Ме предаде.

Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.

22 У чениците се спогледваха помежду си, недоумявайки за кого говори.

The disciples therefore looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.

23 А на трапезата един от учениците, когото обичаше Исус, беше се облегнал на Исусовото лоно.

Now there was at table one of his disciples in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.

24 З атова Симон Петър му кимва и му казва: Кажи ни за кого говори.

Simon Peter makes a sign therefore to him to ask who it might be of whom he spoke.

25 А той като се обърна така на гърдите на Исуса, каза му: Господи, кой е?

But he, leaning on the breast of Jesus, says to him, Lord, who is it?

26 И сус отговори: Той е онзи, за когото ще затопя залъка и ще му го дам. И тъй, като затопи залъка, взема и го подаде на Юда Симонова Искариотски.

Jesus answers, He it is to whom I, after I have dipped the morsel, give it. And having dipped the morsel, he gives it to Judas of Simon, Iscariote.

27 И тогава подир залъка, сатана влезе в него; и така, Исус му каза: Каквото вършиш, върши го по-скоро.

And, after the morsel, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore says to him, What thou doest, do quickly.

28 А никой от седящите на трапезата не разбра защо му рече това;

But none of those at table knew why he said this to him;

29 з ащото някои мислеха, понеже Юда държеше касата Гръцки: Торбичката или, кутийката.>, че Исус му казва: Купи каквото ни трябва за празника, или: Дай нещо на сиромасите.

for some supposed, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus was saying to him, Buy the things of which we have need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor.

30 И тъй, като взе залъка, веднага излезе; а беше нощ.

Having therefore received the morsel, he went out immediately; and it was night.

31 А когато излезе, Исус казва: Сега се прослави Човешкият Син, и Бог се прослави в Него;

When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

32 и Бог ще Го прослави в Себе Си, и скоро ще Го прослави.

If God be glorified in him, God also shall glorify him in himself, and shall glorify him immediately.

33 Д ечица, още малко съм с вас. Ще Ме търсите, и както рекох на юдеите, така и вам казвам сега гдето отивам Аз вие не можете да дойдете.

Children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me; and, as I said to the Jews, Where I go ye cannot come, I say to you also now.

34 Н ова заповед ви давам, да се любите един другиго; както Аз ви възлюбих, така и вие да се любите един другиго.

A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 П о това ще познаят всички, че сте Мои ученици, ако имате любов помежду си.

By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.

36 С имон Петър Му казва: Господи, къде отиваш? Исус отговори: Където отивам не можеш сега да дойдеш след Мене, но после ще дойдеш.

Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where goest thou? Jesus answered him, Where I go thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me after.

37 П етър Му казва: Господи, защо да не мога да дойда след Тебе сега? Животът си ще дам за Тебе.

Peter says to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee.

38 И сус отговори: Животът си ли за Мене ще дадеш? Истина, истина ти казвам, петелът няма да е пропял преди да си се отрекъл три пъти от Мене. ГЛАВА 14

Jesus answers, Thou wilt lay down thy life for me! Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.
