1 К аза им една притча за как трябва всякога да се молят, да не отслабват, думайки:

And he spoke also a parable to them to the purport that they should always pray and not faint,

2 О Знаеш заповедите: "Не прелюбодействувай", "Не убивай"; "Не кради"; "Не лъжесвидетелствувай"; "Почитай баща си и майка си";

saying, There was a judge in a city, not fearing God and not respecting man:

3 В същия град имаше и една вдовица, която дохождаше при него и му казваше: Отдай ми правото спрямо противника ми.

and there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adverse party.

4 Н о той за известно време не искаше. А после си каза: При все, че от Бога не се боя и човеците не зачитам,

And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man,

5 п ак, понеже тая вдовица ми досажда, ще - отдам правото, да не би да ме измори с безкрайното си дохождане.

at any rate because this widow annoys me I will avenge her, that she may not by perpetually coming completely harass me.

6 И Господ рече: Слушайте що каза неправедният съдия!

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.

7 А Бог няма ли да отдаде правото на Своите избрани, които викат към Него ден и нощ, ако и да се бави спрямо тях?

And shall not God at all avenge his elect, who cry to him day and night, and he bears long as to them?

8 К азвам ви, че ще им отдаде правото скоро. Обаче, когато дойде Човешкият Син ще намери ли вяра на земята?

I say unto you that he will avenge them speedily. But when the Son of man comes, shall he indeed find faith on the earth?

9 И на някои, които уповаваха на себе си, че са праведни, и презираха другите, каза и тая притча:

And he spoke also to some, who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and made nothing of all the rest, this parable:

10 Д вама души влязоха в храма да се помолят, единият фарисей, а другият бирник.

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer.

11 Ф арисеят, като се изправи, молеше се в себе си така: Боже, благодаря Ти, че не съм като другите човеци, грабители, неправедни, прелюбодейци и особено не като тоя бирник.

The Pharisee, standing, prayed thus to himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer.

12 П остя дваж в седмицата, давам десятък от всичко що придобия.

I fast twice in the week, I tithe everything I gain.

13 А бирникът като стоеше издалеч, не щеше нито очите си да подигне към небето, но удряше се в гърди и казваше: Боже бъди милостив към мене грешника.

And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.

14 К азвам ви, че този слезе у дома си оправдан, а не онзи; защото всеки, който възвишава себе си, ще се смири, а който смирява себе си, ще се възвиси.

I say unto you, This went down to his house justified rather than that. For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

15 Д онесоха още при Него младенците си, за да се докосне до тях; а учениците, като видяха, смъмриха ги.

And they brought to him also infants that he might touch them, but the disciples when they saw rebuked them.

16 Н о Исус ги повика и рече: Оставете дечицата да дойдат при Мене и не ги възпирайте; защото на такива е Божието царство.

But Jesus calling them to said, Suffer little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.

17 И стина ви казвам: Който не приеме като детенце Божието царство, той никак няма да влезе в него.

Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18 И някой си началник Го попита, казвайки: Благи Учителю, какво да сторя, за да наследя вечен живот?

And a certain ruler asked him saying, Good teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life?

19 А Исус му рече: Защо Ме наричаш благ? Никой не е благ, освен един Бог.

But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, God.

20 Знаеш заповедите: "Не убивай"; "Не кради"; "Не лъжесвидетелствувай"; "Почитай баща си и майка си";

Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 а той каза: Всичко това съм опазил от младостта си.

And he said, All these things have I kept from my youth.

22 И сус, като го чу, рече му: Едно още ти не достига. Продай все що имаш и раздай на сиромасите и ще имаш съкровище на небето; дойди и Ме следвай!

And when Jesus had heard this, he said to him, One thing is lacking to thee yet: Sell all that thou hast and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens, and come, follow me.

23 Н о той, като чу това, наскърби се много, защото беше твърде богат.

But when he heard this he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

24 И Исус като го видя, каза: Колко мъчно ще влязат в Божието царство ония, които имат богатство!

But when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, he said, How difficultly shall those who have riches enter into the kingdom of God;

25 З ащото по-лесно е камила да мине през иглени уши, отколкото богат да влезе в Божието царство.

for it is easier for a camel to enter through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 А ония, които чуха това рекоха: Тогава кой може да се спаси?

And those who heard it said, And who can be saved?

27 А Той каза: Невъзможното за човеците за Бога е възможно.

But he said, The things that are impossible with men are possible with God.

28 А Петър рече: Ето, ние оставихме своето и Те последвахме.

And Peter said, Behold, we have left all things and have followed thee.

29 А Той им рече: Истина ви казвам, няма никой, който да е оставил къща или жена, или братя, или родители, или чада, заради Божието царство,

And he said to them, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left home, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

30 к ойто да не получи многократно повече в сегашно време, а в идещия свят вечен живот.

who shall not receive manifold more at this time, and in the coming age life eternal.

31 И като взе дванадесетте при Себе Си, рече им: Ето, възлизаме в Ерусалим и ще се изпълни в Човешкия Син всичко, що е писано чрез пророците.

And he took the twelve to and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written of the Son of man by the prophets shall be accomplished;

32 З ащото ще бъде предаден на езичниците, които ще Му се поругаят и безсрамно ще Го оскърбят, и ще Го заплюят,

for he shall be delivered up to the nations, and shall be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon.

33 и , когато Го бият, ще Го убият; и на третия ден ще възкръсне.

And when they have scourged they will kill him; and on the third day he will rise again.

34 Н о те не разбираха нищо от това; и тая дума беше скрита за тях, и не разбираха това, което се казваше.

And they understood nothing of these things. And this word was hidden from them, and they did not know what was said.

35 А когато Той се приближаваше до Ерихон, един слепец седеше край пътя да проси.

And it came to pass when he came into the neighbourhood of Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging.

36 И като чу, че минава народ, попита какво е това.

And when he heard the crowd passing, he inquired what this might be.

37 И казаха му, че Исус назарянинът минава.

And they told him that Jesus the Nazaraean was passing by.

38 Т огава той извика, казвайки: Исусе, сине Давидов, смили се за мене!

And he called out saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.

39 А тия, които вървяха отпред го смъмриха, за да млъкне; но той още повече викаше: Сине Давидов, смили се за мене!

And those going before rebuked him that he might be silent; but he cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.

40 И тъй, Исус се спря и заповяда да Му го доведат. И като се приближи, попита го:

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be led to him. And when he drew nigh he asked him,

41 К акво искаш да ти сторя? А той каза: Господи, да прогледам,

What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may see.

42 И сус му рече: Прогледай; твоята вяра те изцели.

And Jesus said to him, See: thy faith has healed thee.

43 И той веднага прогледа, и тръгна след Него, като славеше Бога. И всичките люде, като видяха това, въздадоха хвала на Бога.

And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw gave praise to God.
