1 Н а левитските свещеници, ни цялото Левиево племе да нямат дял или наследство с Израиля: нека се хранят с жертвите принасяни през огън на Господа и с Неговото наследство.

The priests, the Levites, the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: Jehovah's offerings by fire, and his inheritance shall they eat,

2 З а това, да нямат наследство между братята си; тяхното наследство е Господ, както им е казал.

but they shall have no inheritance among their brethren: Jehovah, he is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

3 Е то какво ще бъде правото на свещениците от людете, от ония, които принасят в жертва говедо или овца: да дават на свещеника плешката, челюстите и търбуха.

And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that sacrifice a sacrifice, whether ox, or sheep: they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the jawbones, and the maw.

4 Н ему да даваш и първите плодове от житото си, от виното си и от дървеното си масло, и първото руно от овците си.

The firstfruits of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstfruits of the shearing of thy sheep, shalt thou give him;

5 З ащото, измежду всичките ти племена, него избра Господ твоят Бог да стои до служи в Името на Господа, той и потомците му винаги.

for Jehovah thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, that he may stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, he and his sons continually.

6 И ако дойде левитин из някои от градовете ти в целия Израил, гдето е бил пришелец, и дойде с всичкото желание на душата си на мястото, което избере Господ,

And if the Levite shall come from one of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourneth, and shall come according to all the desire of his soul unto the place which Jehovah will choose,

7 т огава да служи в Името на Господа своя Бог, както всичките му братя левити, които служат там на Господа.

and shall serve in the name of Jehovah his God, as all his brethren the Levites that stand there before Jehovah,

8 Н ека имат равни дялове да ядат, в прибавка на полученото от продажбата на бащиния му имот.

—they shall have like portions to eat, besides that which he hath sold of his patrimony.

9 К огато влезеш в земята, която Господ твоят Бог ти дава, недей се учи да правиш според мерзостите на тамошните народи.

When thou art come into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

10 Д а не се намери между тебе някой, който да прекара сина си или дъщеря си през огън+, никой чародей, астролог, гадател, или омаятел,

There shall not be found among you he that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, that useth divination, that useth auguries, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

11 н икой баяч, запитвач на зли духове, врач, или запитвач на мъртвите;

or a charmer, or one that inquireth of a spirit of Python, or a soothsayer, or one that consulteth the dead.

12 з ащото всеки, който прави тия дела, и омразен на Господа, и поради тия мерзости Господ твоят Бог изгонва тия народи от пред тебе.

For every one that doeth these things is an abomination to Jehovah, and because of these abominations Jehovah thy God doth dispossess them from before thee.

13 С ъвършен да бъдеш пред Господа твоя Бог.

Thou shalt be perfect with Jehovah thy God.

14 З ащото тия народи, които ще завладееш, слушат астролозите и чародеите; но на тебе Господ твоят Бог не е позволил това.

For these nations, which thou shalt dispossess, hearkened unto those that use auguries, and that use divination; but as for thee, Jehovah thy God hath not suffered thee so.

15 Г оспод твоят Бог ще ти въздигне отсред тебе, от братята ти, порок както е въздигнал мене; него слушайте,

Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him shall ye hearken;

16 с поред всичко, което ти просеше от Господа своя Бог при Хорив, в деня, когато се събрахте, като казваше ти: Да не чуя вече гласа на Господа моя Бог и да не видя вече твоя голям огън, за да не умра.

according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

17 Т огава Господ ми каза: Добро е това, което рекоха.

And Jehovah said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

18 А з ще им въздигна отсред братята им пророк, както съм въздигнал тебе, и ще туря думите Си в устата му; и той ще им говори всичко, което Аз му заповядам.

A prophet will I raise up unto them from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

19 А който не послуша думите Ми, които той ще говори в Мое Име, Аз ще искам ответ от него.

And it shall come to pass that the man who hearkeneth not unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

20 Н о пророк, който дръзне да каже от Мое Име дума, който Аз не съм му заповядал да говори, или който говори от името на други богове, тоя пророк да умре.

But the prophet who shall presume to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

21 И ако речеш в сърцето си: Как ще познаем коя дума Господ не е казал? -

And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word that Jehovah hath not spoken?

22 К огато някой пророк говори от Господното име, и думата му не се сбъдне нито се изпълни, тая дума Господ не е говорил; пророкът я е говорил надменно; да се не боиш от него.

When a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing followeth not, nor cometh to pass, that is the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: be not afraid of him.
