1 Т огава възвихме та отидохме към Васан; и васанският цар Ог излезе против нас, той и всичките му люде, на бой в Едраи.

And we turned, and went up the way to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, for battle at Edrei.

2 А Господ ми рече: Не бой се от него, защото предадох в ръката ти него, всичките му люде и земята му; ще му направиш както направи на аморейския цар Сион, който живееше в Есевон.

And Jehovah said to me, Fear him not; for into thy hand have I given him, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.

3 И така, Господ нашият Бог предаде в ръката ни и васанския цар Ог и всичките му люде; и поразихме го така, че не му оставихме никого да оцелее.

And Jehovah our God gave into our hand Og the king of Bashan also, and all his people; and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

4 В онова време превзехме всичките му градове; нямаше град, който не превзехме от тях; шестдесет града, цялата Арговска област, царството на Ога във Васан.

And we took all his cities at that time: there was not a town which we took not from them, sixty cities, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 В сичките тия градове бяха укрепени с високи стени, с порти и лостове; и освен тях имаше твърде много неукрепени градове.

All these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides unwalled towns very many.

6 Т ях изтребихме, както сторихме на есевонския цар Сион; изтребихме всеки град, с мъжете, жените и децата.

And we utterly destroyed them, as we had done to Sihon the king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, men, women and little ones.

7 А всичкия добитък и користите на градовете разграбихме за себе си.

But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities we took as booty for ourselves.

8 Т ака, в онова време, взехме от ръцете на двамата аморейски царе земята, която оттатък Иордан, от потока Арнон до планината Ермон;

And we took at that time the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites, that were on this side the Jordan, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon

9 ( Ермон сидонците наричат Сирион, а аморейците го наричат Санир);

(the Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir):

10 в сичките градове на поляната, целия Галаад и целия Васан, до Салха и Едраи, градове от царството на Ога във Васан,

all the cities of the plateau, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, as far as Salchah and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

11 ( Защото само васанският цар Ог беше останал от оцелелите от исполините; ето, леглото му беше желязно легло; не е ли то в Рава на амонците? Дължината му беше девет лакътя, и широчината му четири лакътя, според лакътя на мъж.)

For only Og the king of Bashan remained of the residue of giants: behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? its length was nine cubits, and its breadth four cubits, after the cubit of a man.

12 И дадох на рувимците и на гадците земята, който превзехме в онова време, от Ароир, който е при потока Арнон и половината от планинските страни на Галаад с градовете му;

And this land we took in possession at that time. From Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and the half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;

13 а остатъка на Галаад и целия Васан, царството на Ога, дадох на половината от манасиевото племе, цялата Арговска област, с целия Васан, който се нарича земя на исполините.

and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to half the tribe of Manasseh. (The whole region of Argob, even all Bashan, is called a land of giants.

14 М анасиевият потомец Яир взе цялата Арговска област до границите на гесурците и маахатците, и нарече земите по свое име Васан-авот-яир, както се наричат и до днес.

Jair the son of Manasseh took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and called Bashan after his own name, Havoth-Jair, to this day.)

15 А на Махира дадох Галаад.

And I gave Gilead to Machir.

16 Н о на рувимците и на гадците дадох от Галаад до потока Арнон, до средата на потока, за граница, и до потока Явок, границата на амонците,

And to the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the river Arnon, the middle of the ravine and its border, as far as the river Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon;

17 и полето, и Иордан, който им е граница от Хинерот до морето в полето, то ест, Соленото море, под Асдот-фасга на изток.

the plain also, and the Jordan, and border from Chinnereth as far as the sea of the plain, the salt sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.

18 В онова време ви заповядах, казвайки: Господ вашият Бог ви даде тая земя да я притежавате; затова всички вие храбри мъже минете въоръжени пред братята си израилтяните.

And I commanded you at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given you this land to take possession of it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all combatants.

19 С амо жените ви, децата ви и добитъкът ви (защото зная, че имате много добитък) нека останат в градовете, които ви дадох,

Only your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle,—I know that ye have much cattle,—shall abide in your cities which I have given you,

20 д огде Господ успокои братята ви както е успокоил и вас, и превземат и те земята, която Господ нашият Бог ще им даде оттатък Иордан; тогава да се върнете всеки в наследството, което ви дадох.

until Jehovah give rest to your brethren, as well as to you, and they also take possession of the land that Jehovah your God giveth them beyond the Jordan; then shall ye return, each man to his possession, which I have given you.

21 В онова време заръчах на Исуса, като му казах: Очите ти видяха всичко що стори Господ вашият Бог на тия двама царе; така ще направи Господ и на всичките царства, към които преминаваш.

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that Jehovah your God hath done to these two kings: so will Jehovah do to all the kingdoms to which thou shalt go.

22 Д а се не боите от тях; защото Господ вашият Бог, Той воюва за вас.

Ye shall not fear them; for Jehovah your God, he will fight for you.

23 В онова време се молих Господу, казвайки:

And I besought Jehovah at that time, saying,

24 Г осподи Иеова, Ти си почнал да показваш на слугата Си величието Си и крепката Си ръка; защото кой и тоя бог, на небето или на земята, който може да работи, както Ти работиш и според Твоите мощни дела?

Lord Jehovah, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy powerful hand; for what God is in the heavens or in the earth that can do like to thy works, and like to thy might?

25 Н ека премина, моля Ти се, и видя добрата земя оттатък Иордан, оная добра планинска страна и Ливан.

Let me go over, I pray thee, and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

26 Н о Господ понеже бе се разгневил на мене поради вас, не ме послуша; и Господ ми рече: Стига ти; да Ми не продумаш вече за това.

But Jehovah was wroth with me on your account, and did not hear me; and Jehovah said to me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter!

27 В ъзкачи се на върха на Фасга, и дигни очи към запад и север, към юг и изток, та гледай земята с очите си; защото няма да преминеш тоя Иордан.

Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes; for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

28 И заръчай на Исуса, насърчи го и укрепи го; защото той ще мине пред тия люде, и той ще им раздели за наследство земята, който ще видиш.

But charge Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land which thou shalt see.

29 И така, седяхме в долината срещу Вет-фегор.

And we abode in the valley opposite to Beth-Peor.
