1 С лушайте това слово, което Госопд изговори против вас, Израиляни, - против целия род, рече Господ, който възведох от Египетската земя, като казах: -

Hear this word that Jehovah hath spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

2 С амо вас познах Измежду всичките родове на света; Затова, ще ви накажа за всичките ви беззакония.

You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.

3 Щ е ходят ли двама заедно Освен по съгласие?

Shall two walk together except they be agreed?

4 Щ е изреве ли лъвът в леса Ако няма лов? Ще издаде ли гласа си младият лъв от леговището си, Ако не е хванал нещо?

Will a lion roar in the forest when he hath no prey? Will a young lion cry out of his den if he have taken nothing?

5 М оже ли птица да попадне в клопка на земята, Дето няма примка за нея? Скача ли примка от земята Без да е хванала нещо?

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth when no gin for him? Will the snare spring up from the earth when nothing at all hath been taken?

6 М оже ли да засвири тръба в град И людете да не се уплашат? Може ли бедствие да сполети град И да не го е направил Господ?

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and Jehovah not have done ?

7 Н аистина Господ Иеова няма да направи нищо Без да открие своето намерение на слугите си пророците.

But the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

8 Л ъвът изрева; кой не ще се уплаши? Господ Иеова изговори; кой не ще пророкува?

The lion hath roared,—who will not fear? The Lord Jehovah hath spoken,—who can but prophesy?

9 П рогласете в палатите на Азот И в палатите на Египтската земя, И речете - Съберете се по планините на Самария Та вижте големите метежи всред нея, И какви насилия има вътре в нея.

Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great uproar in the midst thereof, and the oppressions that are within her:

10 З ащото, казва Господ, Ония, които натрупват в палатите си плода на насилие и грабеж, Не знаят да вършат правото.

and they know not to do right, saith Jehovah, who store up violence and plunder in their palaces.

11 З а това, така казва Господ Иеова; Неприятел ще окръжава земята ти, И ще смъкне от тебе силата ти, И палатите ти ще бъдат разграбени.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An adversary!—even round about the land! And he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be pillaged.

12 Т ака казва Господ: Както овчарят изтръгва из лъвовите уста Две голени, или част от ухо, Така ще изтръгнат Израиляните, Които в Самария седят в ъгъла на канапе И на копринени възглавници на постелка.

Thus saith Jehovah: Like as the shepherd rescueth out of the jaw of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be rescued that sit in Samaria in the corner of a couch, and upon the damask of a bed.

13 С лушайте, и предупредете Якововия дом, Казва Господ Иеова, Бог на Силите,

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord Jehovah, the God of hosts,

14 Ч е в деня, когато нанеса наказание върху Израиля за престъплението му, Ще накажа и жертвениците на Ветил, И роговете на жертвеника ще се отсекат и ще паднат наземи.

that in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, I will also punish the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

15 О ще ще поразя зимната къща зедно с лятната къща, Къщите от слонова кост ще се съсипят, И на големите къщи ще се тури край, казва Господ.

And I will smite the winter-house with the summer-house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and many houses shall have an end, saith Jehovah.
