1 Т огава дойдоха при мене някои от Израилевите старейшини та седнаха пред мене.

And there came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

2 И Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

3 С ине човешки, тия мъже прегърнаха идолите си в сърцата си, и туриха беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си; бива ли да се допитват тия до Мене?

Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?

4 З атова, говори им като им речеш: Така казва Господ Иеова: На всекиго от Израилевия дом, който прегърне идолите си в сърцето си, и тури беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, Аз Господ ще му отговоря както подобава според многото му идоли,

Therefore speak to them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, I Jehovah will answer him according to this, according to the multitude of his idols:

5 з а да хвана Израилевия дом за самото им сърце, понеже те всички станаха чужди за Мене чрез идолите си.

that I may take the house of Israel by their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

6 З атова, кажи на Израилевия дом: Така казва Господ Иеова: Покайте се, отвърнете се от идолите си, да! отвърнете лицата си от всичките си мерзости.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

7 З ащото на всекиго от Израилевия дом, или от чужденците, които пришелствуват в Израиля, който стане чужд за Мене като прегърне идолите си в сърцето си, и тури беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, за да се допита до Мене чрез него, Аз Господ ще му отговоря непосредствено от Себе Си;

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me by him, I Jehovah will answer him by myself;

8 з ащото ще насоча лицето Си против такъв човек, ще го направя за учудване, за знамение и поговорка, и ще го отсека отсред людете Си; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.

and I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate, for a sign and for proverbs, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people: and ye shall know that I Jehovah.

9 И ако би се подмамил пророкът да проговори дума, Аз Господ подмамих този пророк; и ще простра ръката Си върху него, та ще го изтребя отсред людете Си Израиля.

And if the prophet be enticed and shall speak a word, I Jehovah have enticed that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

10 И ще понесат наказанието на беззаконието си, (наказанието на пророка ще бъде като наказанието на онзи, който би се допитвал чрез него),

And they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of the inquirer;

11 з а да не блуждае вече Израилевият дом от Мене, нито да се оскверняват вече с всичките си престъпления, но да бъдат Мои люде, и Аз да бъде техен Бог, казва Господ Иеова.

that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither make themselves any more unclean with all their transgressions; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.

12 И Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

13 С ине човешки, когато някоя земя Ми съгреши с коварство, и Аз простра ръката Си върху нея, и строша подпорката й от хляба, и пратя глад върху нея, и отсека от нея и човек и животно,

Son of man, when a land sinneth against me by working unfaithfulness, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it;

14 т а ако тия трима мъже, Ное, Даниил и Иов, бяха всред нея, те щяха да избавят само своите си души чрез правдата си, казва Господ Иеова.

though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

15 А ко бих докарал против земята люти зверове, и те я обезлюдяха, та да запустее, тъй че да не може някой да мине през нея от зверовете,

If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they bereave it, and it become a desolation, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts;

16 п ак, и тримата тия мъже ако бяха всред нея, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Иеова, те не щяха да избавят нито синове нито дъщери, само сами те щяха да се избавят, а земята щеше да запустее.

—though these three men should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.

17 И ли ако изнесях меч върху оная земя, и речех: Мечо, мини през земята, та да отсека от нея и човек и животно,

Or I bring the sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off man and beast from it,

18 т о и тримата тия мъже ако бяха всред нея, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Иеова, те не щяха да избавят ни синове ни дъщери, но само те щяха да се избавят.

and these three men should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only themselves should be delivered.

19 И ли ако нанесях мор върху оная земя, и излеех яростта Си върху нея с кръв, та да отсека от нея и човек и животно,

Or I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,

20 п ак, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Иеова, ако бяха всред нея Ное, Даниил и Иов, те не щяха да избавят нито син нито дъщеря, но щяха да избавят само своите си души чрез правдата си;

and Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

21 п рочее (така казва Господ Иеова), колко повече когато изпратя четирите Си тежки съдби върху Ерусалим, меча, глада, лютите зверове, и мора, та да отсека от него и човек и животно!

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!

22 Н о, ето, ще останат в него избавилите се, синове и дъщери, които ще се изнесат; ето, те ще излязат при вас, и ще видите постъпките им и делата им; и ще се утешите относно злото, което нанесох върху Ерусалим, да! относно всичко що нанесох върху него.

But behold, there shall be left in it those that escape, who shall be brought out of, sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, as to all that I have brought upon it.

23 Т е ще ви утешат, когато видите постъпките им и делата им; и ще познаете, че Аз не съм сторил без причина всичко това що съм сторил в него, казва Господ Иеова.

And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.
