1 А като се разделихме с тях и отплавахме, дойдохме право в Кос, а на следващия ден в Родос и оттам - в Патара.

And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:

2 И като намерихме кораб, който заминаваше за Финикия, качихме се на него и отплавахме.

and finding a ship sailing over unto Phenicia, we went aboard, and set forth.

3 А когато Кипър се показа, оставихме го отляво и плавахме към Сирия, и слязохме в Тир, защото там корабът щеше да бъде разтоварен.

Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden.

4 И като издирихме учениците, престояхме там седем дни; и те чрез Духа казваха на Павел да не стъпва в Йерусалим.

And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

5 К огато тези дни изтекоха, тръгнахме и продължихме пътя си; а те всички, с жените и децата си, ни изпратиха извън града; и като коленичихме на брега, се помолихме.

And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.

6 И като се простихме един с друг, ние се качихме на кораба, а те се върнаха у дома си.

And when we had taken our leave one of another, we took ship; and they returned home again.

7 И ние, като отплавахме от Тир, стигнахме в Птоломеида, където поздравихме братята и останахме при тях един ден.

And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.

8 А на следващия ден тръгнахме и стигнахме в Цезарея; и влязохме в къщата на благовестителя Филип, който беше един от седемте дякони, и останахме при него.

And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.

9 А той имаше четири дъщери девици, които пророкуваха.

And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

10 И след като бяхме прекарали там много дни, един пророк на име Агав слезе от Юдея.

And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judæa a certain prophet, named Agabus.

11 И като дойде при нас, взе пояса на Павел и си върза краката и ръцете, и каза: Ето какво каза Святият Дух: Така юдеите в Йерусалим ще вържат човека, на когото е този пояс, и ще го предадат в ръцете на езичниците.

And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

12 И като чухме това, и ние, и тамошните го молихме да не отива в Йерусалим.

And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.

13 Т огава Павел отговори: Какво правите вие, като плачете и съкрушавате сърцето ми? Защото аз съм готов не само да бъда вързан, но и да умра в Йерусалим за името на Господ Исус.

Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

14 И понеже той беше неумолим, ние млъкнахме и казахме: Да бъде Господнята воля.

And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

15 И след тези дни се приготвихме за път и отидохме в Йерусалим.

And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.

16 С нас дойдоха и някои от учениците в Цезарея и ни заведоха при някой си Мнасон, кипрянин, отдавнашен ученик, у когото щяхме да бъдем гости. Апостол Павел при Яков

There went with us also certain of the disciples of Cæsarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an old disciple, with whom we should lodge.

17 И като стигнахме в Йерусалим, братята ни приеха с радост.

And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.

18 А на следващия ден Павел влезе с нас у Яков, където присъстваха всички презвитери.

And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.

19 И като ги поздрави, разказа им едно по едно всичко, което Бог беше извършил между езичниците чрез неговото служение.

And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

20 А те, като чуха, прославиха Бога. Тогава му казаха: Ти виждаш, брате, колко десетки хиляди повярвали юдеи има и те всички ревностно поддържат закона.

And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

21 А за теб им е говорено, че ти си бил учил всички юдеи, които са между езичниците, да отстъпят от Моисеевия закон, като им казваш да не обрязват децата си, нито да държат старите обреди.

and they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.

22 И така, какво да се направи? Сигурно ще се събере тълпа, защото те непременно ще чуят, че си дошъл.

What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.

23 З атова направи каквото ти кажем. Между нас има четирима мъже, които имат оброк;

Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;

24 в земи ги и извърши очистването си заедно с тях, и плати за тях, за да обръснат главите си; и така всички ще знаят, че не е истина това, което са слушали за тебе, но че и ти постъпваш порядъчно и пазиш закона.

them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

25 А колкото за повярвалите езичници, ние писахме решението си да се пазят от ядене на идоложертвено, кръв, удушени животни, също и от блудство.

As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

26 Т огава Павел взе мъжете; и на следващия ден, като свърши очистването си заедно с тях, влезе в храма и обяви кога щяха да се свършат дните, определени за очистването, когато щеше да се принесе приносът за всеки един от тях. Залавянето на Павел

Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

27 И когато седемте дни бяха на свършване, юдеите от Азия, като го видяха в храма, разбуниха целия народ, сложиха ръце на него и викаха:

And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,

28 О , израелтяни, помагайте! Това е човекът, който навсякъде учи всички против народа ни, против закона и против това място; а освен това въведе и гърци в храма и оскверни това свято място.

crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.

29 ( Защото преди това бяха видели с него в града ефесянина Трофим и мислеха, че Павел го е въвел в храма.)

(For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

30 И целият град се развълнува и народът се стече; и като уловиха Павел, извлякоха го вън от храма; и веднага се затвориха вратите.

And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.

31 И когато щяха да го убият, стигна известие до хилядника на полка, че целият Йерусалим е размирен.

And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

32 И той веднага взе войници и стотници и се завтече долу към тях. А те, като видяха хилядника и войниците, престанаха да бият Павел.

Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.

33 Т огава хилядникът се приближи и го хвана, и заповяда да го оковат с две вериги, и разпитваше кой е той и какво е направил.

Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

34 А в навалицата едни викаха едно, а други - друго; и понеже не можеше да разбере същността на работата поради шумотевицата, заповяда да го закарат в крепостта.

And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

35 А когато стигна до стъпалата, войниците го вдигнаха и носеха поради насилието на тълпата,

And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.

36 з ащото целият народ вървеше отзад и викаше: Премахни го!

For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.

37 И когато щяха да въведат Павел в крепостта, той каза на хилядника: Позволено ли ми е да кажа нещо? А той каза: Знаеш ли гръцки?

And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?

38 Н е си ли тогава онзи египтянин, който преди известно време размири и изведе в пустинята четирите хиляди мъже убийци?

Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?

39 А Павел каза: Аз съм юдеин от Тарс Киликийски, гражданин на този знаменит град; и ти се моля да ми позволиш да поговоря на народа.

But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

40 И като му позволи, Павел застана на стъпалата и помаха с ръка на народа; а като се въдвори голяма тишина, започна да им говори на еврейски:

And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
