1 С ловото, което дойде към Йеремия за всички юдеи, които живееха в Египетската земя и седяха в Мигдол, в Тафнес, в Мемфис и в страната Патрос, и каза:

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

2 Т ака казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Видяхте цялото зло, което докарах върху Йерусалим и върху всички Юдейски градове; и, ето, днес те са пусти и няма кой да живее в тях

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

3 п оради нечестието, което сториха, и Ме разгневиха, като отиваха да кадят и да служат на други богове, които нито те познаваха, нито вие, нито бащите ви.

because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

4 И пратих при вас всичките Си слуги, пророците, като ставах рано и ги пращах, и казвах: Ах! Не правете тази гнусна работа, която Аз мразя.

Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

5 Н о те не послушаха, нито приклониха ухото си, за да се върнат от нечестието си, за да не кадят на други богове.

But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

6 З атова се изляха яростта Ми и гневът Ми и пламнаха в Юдейските градове и в йерусалимските улици; и те бяха разорени и пусти, както са и днес.

Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

7 И така, сега така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Защо вършите това голямо зло против своите души, така че да изтребите помежду си мъж и жена, дете и кърмаче отсред Юдея, за да не остане от вас някой оцелял,

Therefore now thus saith the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

8 к ато Ме разгневявате с делата на ръцете си и кадите на други богове в Египетската земя, където дойдохте да бъдете пришълци, така че да бъдете изтребени и да станете за проклятие и за укоряване между всички народи на света?

in that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

9 З абравихте ли наказанията, които наложих поради нечестието на бащите ви и нечестието на Юдейските царе, и нечестието на жените на всеки от тях, и вашето нечестие, и нечестието на жените ви, което вършеха в Юдейската земя и по йерусалимските улици?

Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10 Т е и до днес не се смириха, нито се убояха, нито ходиха според закона Ми и наредбите, които поставих пред вас и пред бащите ви.

They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

11 З атова така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Ето, Аз ще насоча лицето Си против вас за зло, дори за изтреблението на цяла Юдея.

Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.

12 И ще премахна останалите от Юдея, които насочиха лицата си да отидат в Египетската земя; ще паднат от меч, ще загинат от глад, от най-скромен до най-велик ще измрат от меч и глад; и ще бъдат за проклинане и учудване, за проклятие и укоряване.

And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

13 З ащото ще накажа онези, които живеят в Египетската земя, както наказах Йерусалим, с меч, глад и мор,

For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

14 т ака че никой от останалите от Юдея, които са отишли в Египетската земя да бъдат пришълци там, няма да избегне или да оцелее, за да се върне в Юдейската земя, към която те копнеят да се върнат, за да живеят там; защото никой няма да се върне освен онези, които избягат.

so that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.

15 Т огава всички мъже, които знаеха, че жените им кадеха на други богове, и всички жени, които се намираха там, едно голямо множество, дори всички юдеи, които живееха в Патрос в Египетската земя, отговориха на Йеремия:

Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

16 К олкото до словото, което ти ни говори в Господнето име, няма да те послушаме;

As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee.

17 а непременно ще вършим всичко, което е излязло от устата ни, че ще кадим на небесната царица и ще ѝ правим възлияния, както правехме ние и бащите ни, царете и първенците ни, в Юдейските градове и по йерусалимските улици; защото тогава ядяхме хляб до насита, добре ни беше и зло не видяхме.

But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

18 Н о откакто престанахме да кадим на небесната царица и да ѝ правим възлияния, сме били лишени от всичко и се довършихме от меч и глад.

But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

19 А жените казаха: И когато кадехме на небесната царица и ѝ правихме възлияния, дали без знанието на мъжете си ѝ правихме млинове по нейния образ и ѝ правихме възлияния?

And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

20 Т огава Йеремия говорѝ на целия народ, на мъжете и жените, с една дума, на целия народ, които му отговориха така, като каза:

Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,

21 Н е си ли спомни Господ тамяна, който кадехте в Юдейските градове и по йерусалимските улици, вие и бащите ви, царете и първенците ви, и народът от тази земя, и не дойде ли в ума Му?

The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them, and came it not into his mind?

22 Т ака че Господ не можа вече да търпи поради злите ви дела и поради мерзостите, които вършехте, и затова земята ви запустя и стана за учудване и проклятие, без жители, както е днес.

So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

23 П онеже кадехте и понеже съгрешавахте пред Господа, и не послушахте гласа на Господа, нито ходихте според закона и наредбите Му или изявленията Му, затова ви постигна това зло, както виждате днес.

Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

24 П ри това Йеремия каза на целия народ и на всички жени: Слушайте Господнето слово, всички от Юдея, които сте в Египетската земя.

Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the Lord, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

25 Т ака говори Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Вие и жените ви не само говорихте с устата си, но извършихте с ръцете си това, което казахте, че: Непременно ще изпълним оброците си, на които се обрекохме, да кадим на небесната царица и да ѝ правим възлияния. Тогава потвърждавайте и изпълнявайте оброците си.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

26 З атова слушайте Господнето слово, всички от Юдея, които живеете в Египетската земя: Ето, заклех се във великото Си име, казва Господ, че името Ми ще престане вече да се произнася от устата на който и да е юдеин, в цялата Египетска земя, че да казва: Заклевам се в живота на Господа Йехова!

Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the Lord, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liveth.

27 Е то, Аз бдя над тях за зло, а не за добро; и всички юдеи, които са в Египетската земя, ще гинат от меч и глад, докато се довършат.

Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

28 А които избегнат от меча и се върнат от Египетската земя в Юдейската земя, ще бъдат малко на брой; и всички останали от Юдея, които отидоха в Египетската земя, за да бъдат пришълци там, ще познаят чие слово ще се сбъдне, Моето ли или тяхното.

Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

29 И това ще ви бъде знамението, казва Господ, че Аз ще ви накажа на това място, за да познаете, че думите Ми непременно ще се сбъднат против вас за зло -

And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

30 т ака казва Господ: Ето, Аз ще предам египетския цар фараон Вафрий в ръката на неприятелите му и в ръката на онези, които искат живота му, както предадох Юдейския цар Седекия в ръката на неприятеля му Навуходоносор, вавилонския цар, който искаше живота му.

Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will give Pharaoh-hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
