1 И синовете на първородния на Израел - Рувим (защото той беше първородният; но понеже оскверни леглото на баща си, неговото първородство бе дадено на синовете на Израелевия син Йосиф, а родословието не се смята според първородството;

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

2 з ащото Юда превъзмогна над братята си и от него бе определено да произлезе вождът; първородството обаче беше на Йосиф) -

For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)

3 с иновете на първородния на Израел - Рувим, бяха: Енох, Фалу, Есрон и Хармий.

the sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

4 С инове на Йоил: негов син - Семая; негов син - Гог; негов син - Семей;

The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

5 н егов син - Михей; негов син - Реайя, негов син - Ваал;

Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,

6 н егов син - Веера, когото асирийският цар Теглат-Фелнасар заведе в плен; той беше първенец на Рувимовите синове.

Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.

7 А началниците на братята му според семействата им, когато родословието на поколенията им бе изброено, бяха Еиил, Захария

And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,

8 и Вела, син на Азас, син на Сема, син на Йоил; той се засели в Ароир и до Нево и Ваал-меон;

and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-meon:

9 и към изток се засели чак до входа на пустинята от река Ефрат, защото добитъкът им беше се умножил в галаадската земя.

and eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

10 А в дните на Саул воюваха против агаряните, които паднаха от ръката им; и те се заселиха в шатрите им по цялата източна страна на Галаад.

And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.

11 И Гадовите потомци се заселиха срещу тях във васанската земя до Салха,

And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:

12 о т които Йоил беше началникът, а Сафам вторият, и Янай, и Сафат във Васан.

Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.

13 И братята им, от бащините им домове, бяха: Михаил, Месулам, Сева, Йорай, Яхан, Зия и Евер, седмина.

And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.

14 Т ези са синовете на Авихаил, син на Урия, син на Яроя, син на Галаад, син на Михаил, син на Есисая, син на Ядо, син на Вуз.

These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;

15 А хий, син на Авдиил, Гуниевия син, беше началник на бащиния им дом.

Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.

16 Т е се заселиха в Галаад, във Васан, в селата му и във всичките околности на Сарон до пределите им.

And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.

17 В сички те бяха изброени според родословията си в дните на Юдейския цар Йотам и в дните на Израелевия цар Еровоам. Източните племена

All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

18 О т Рувимовите потомци, Гадовите потомци и половината от Манасиевото племе юначните мъже, които носеха щит и меч, стреляха с лък и бяха обучени на бой, възлизаха на четиридесет и четири хиляди седемстотин и шестдесет души, които можеха да излизат на война.

The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.

19 Т е воюваха против агаряните, етуряните, нафисците и нодавците.

And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.

20 Т е бяха подпомогнати против тях, така че агаряните и всички, които бяха с тях, се предадоха в ръцете им; защото в битката те извикаха към Бога и Той ги послуша, понеже уповаваха на Него.

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

21 И плениха добитъка им: петдесет хиляди от камилите им, двеста и петдесет хиляди от овцете им и две хиляди от ослите им, също и сто хиляди души;

And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.

22 з ащото мнозина паднаха убити, понеже изходът на боя беше от Бога. И се заселиха на мястото им и там живяха до пленяването.

For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.

23 А потомците на половината Манасиево племе се заселиха в онази земя; те нараснаха от Васан до Ваал-ермон и Санир и планината Ермон.

And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal-hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.

24 Е то началниците на бащините им домове: Ефер, Есий, Елиил, Азрил, Йеремия, Одуйя и Ядиил, мъже силни и храбри, мъже именити, началници на бащините си домове.

And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.

25 Н о понеже те престъпваха против Бога на бащите си, като блудстваха след боговете на народите на онази земя, които Бог беше погубил пред тях,

And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.

26 з атова Израелевият Бог подбуди духа на асирийския цар Фул и духа на асирийския цар Теглат-Фелнасар, който плени Рувимовите синове и Гадовите синове, и половината от Манасиевото племе, и ги заведе в Ала, в Авор, в Ара и до реката Гозан, където са и до днес.

And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
