1 P raise ye Jehovah. Praise, O ye servants of Jehovah, Praise the name of Jehovah.

3 F rom the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same Jehovah's name is to be praised.

Dal sol levante fino al ponente sia lodato il nome del Signore.

4 J ehovah is high above all nations, And his glory above the heavens.

Il Signore è superiore a tutte le nazioni e la sua gloria è al di sopra dei cieli.

5 W ho is like unto Jehovah our God, That hath his seat on high,

Chi è simile al Signore, al nostro Dio, che siede sul trono in alto,

6 T hat humbleth himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?

che si abbassa a guardare nei cieli e sulla terra?

7 H e raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;

Egli rialza il misero dalla polvere e solleva il povero dal letame,

8 T hat he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.

per farlo sedere con i prìncipi, con i prìncipi del suo popolo.

9 H e maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye Jehovah.
