1 P raise ye Jehovah. Praise, O ye servants of Jehovah, Praise the name of Jehovah.

2 B lessed be the name of Jehovah From this time forth and for evermore.

Seja bendito o nome do Senhor, desde agora e para sempre!

3 F rom the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same Jehovah's name is to be praised.

Do nascente ao poente, seja louvado o nome do Senhor!

4 J ehovah is high above all nations, And his glory above the heavens.

O Senhor está exaltado acima de todas as nações; e acima dos céus está a sua glória.

5 W ho is like unto Jehovah our God, That hath his seat on high,

Quem é como o Senhor, o nosso Deus, que reina em seu trono nas alturas,

6 T hat humbleth himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?

mas se inclina para contemplar o que acontece nos céus e na terra?

7 H e raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;

Ele levanta do pó o necessitado e ergue do lixo o pobre,

8 T hat he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.

para fazê-los sentar-se com príncipes, com os príncipes do seu povo.

9 H e maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye Jehovah.
