1 A nd in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me.

In quel giorno dirai: «Io ti lodo, Signore! Infatti, dopo esserti adirato con me, la tua ira si è calmata e tu mi hai consolato.

2 B ehold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.

Ecco, Dio è la mia salvezza; io avrò fiducia e non avrò paura di nulla, poiché il Signore, il Signore è la mia forza e il mio cantico; egli è stato la mia salvezza».

3 T herefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Voi attingerete con gioia l’acqua dalle fonti della salvezza,

4 A nd in that day shall ye say, Give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name, declare his doings among the peoples, make mention that his name is exalted.

e in quel giorno direte: «Lodate il Signore, invocate il suo nome, fate conoscere le sue opere tra i popoli, proclamate che il suo nome è eccelso!

5 S ing unto Jehovah; for he hath done excellent things: let this be known in all the earth.

Salmeggiate al Signore, perché ha fatto cose grandiose; siano esse note a tutta la terra!

6 C ry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.

Abitante di Sion, grida, esulta, poiché il Santo d’Israele è grande in mezzo a te».
