Hallelujah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,

2 v ós que assistis na casa do Senhor, nos átrios da casa do nosso Deus.

Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our God.

3 L ouvai ao Senhor, porque o Senhor é bom; cantai louvores ao seu nome, porque ele é bondoso.

Praise ye Jah; for Jehovah is good: sing psalms unto his name; for it is pleasant.

4 P orque o Senhor escolheu para si a Jacó, e a Israel para seu tesouro peculiar.

For Jah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, Israel for his own possession.

5 P orque eu conheço que o Senhor é grande e que o nosso Senhor está acima de todos os deuses.

For I know that Jehovah is great, and our Lord is above all gods.

6 T udo o que o Senhor deseja ele o faz, no céu e na terra, nos mares e em todos os abismos.

Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, he hath done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps;

7 F az subir os vapores das extremidades da terra; faz os relâmpagos para a chuva; tira os ventos dos seus tesouros.

Who causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; who maketh lightnings for the rain; who bringeth the wind out of his treasuries:

8 F oi ele que feriu os primogênitos do Egito, desde os homens até os animais;

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;

9 q ue operou sinais e prodígios no meio de ti, ó Egito, contra Faraó e contra os seus servos;

Who sent signs and miracles into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants;

10 q ue feriu muitas nações, e matou reis poderosos:

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings,

11 a Siom, rei dos amorreus, e a Ogue, rei de Basã, e a todos os reinos de Canaã;

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;

12 e deu a terra deles em herança, em herança a Israel, seu povo.

And gave their land for an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.

13 O teu nome, ó Senhor, subsiste para sempre; e a tua memória, ó Senhor, por todas as gerações.

Thy name, O Jehovah, is for ever; thy memorial, O Jehovah, from generation to generation.

14 P ois o Senhor julgará o seu povo, e se compadecerá dos seus servos.

For Jehovah will judge his people, and will repent in favour of his servants.

15 O s ídolos das nações são prata e ouro, obra das mãos dos homens;

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:

16 t êm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não vêem;

They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;

17 t êm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; nem há sopro algum na sua boca.

They have ears, and they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.

18 S emelhantemente a eles se tornarão os que os fazem, e todos os que neles confiam.

They that make them are like unto them,—every one that confideth in them.

19 Ó casa de Israel, bendizei ao Senhor; ó casa de Arão, bendizei ao Senhor;

House of Israel, bless ye Jehovah; house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah;

20 ó casa de Levi, bendizei ao Senhor; vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, bendizei ao Senhor.

House of Levi, bless ye Jehovah; ye that fear Jehovah, bless Jehovah.

21 D esde Sião seja bendito o Senhor, que habita em Jerusalém. Louvai ao Senhor.

Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem! Hallelujah!
