1 M arkaasaa Bildad oo ahaa reer Shuuxii u jawaabay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite,

2 I laa goormaad waxyaalahan ku hadlaysaa? Oo ilaa goormaa erayada afkaagu ahaanayaan sida dabayl xoog badan?

How long will you say these things ? And how long shall the words of your mouth be as a mighty wind?

3 W ar ma Ilaah baa garsooridda qalloociya? Mase Ilaaha Qaadirka ah baa caddaaladda qalloociya?

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?

4 H addii carruurtaadii ay isaga ku dembaabeen, Wuxuu iyagii u gacangeliyey xadgudubkoodii.

If your children have sinned against Him, then He has delivered them into the power of their transgression.

5 H addaad aad u barido Ilaah, Oo aad baryootankaaga hor dhigto Qaadirka,

If you will seek God diligently and make your supplication to the Almighty,

6 H addaad daahir ahaan lahayd oo aad qummanaan lahayd, Sida xaqiiqada ah haatan wuu kuu toosi lahaa, Oo hoyga xaqnimadaadana wuu barwaaqayn lahaa.

Then, if you are pure and upright, surely He will bestir Himself for you and make your righteous dwelling prosperous again.

7 O o in kastoo bilowgaagii yaraa, Haddana ugudambaystaadu aad bay u weynaan lahayd.

And though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.

8 W aan ku baryayaaye bal qarniyadii hore wax weyddii, Oo bal soo garwaaqso waxyaalihii ay awowayaashood fatasheen,

For inquire, I pray you, of the former age and apply yourself to that which their fathers have searched out,

9 ( Waayo, innagu waxaynu nahay qoonkii shalayto oo qudha, oo waxba garan mayno, Maxaa yeelay, cimrigeenna aan dhulka joognaa waa sida hoos oo kale.)

For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow.

10 W ar sow iyagu wax kuma bari doonaan, oo wax kuuma sheegi doonaan, Oo sow qalbigooda kaalama hadli doonaan?

Shall not teach you and tell you and utter words out of their hearts (the deepest part of their nature)?

11 W ar miyaa cawdu ka bixi kartaa meel aan dhoobo lahayn? Cawsduurkuse miyuu bixi karaa biyola'aantood?

Can the rush or papyrus grow up without marsh? Can the flag or reed grass grow without water?

12 I ntuu weli cagaarka yahay oo aan la gooyn, Wuu ka hor engegaa dhalatada kale oo dhan.

While it is yet green, in flower, and not cut down, it withers before any other herb.

13 K uwa Ilaah illooba oo dhan wadiiqooyinkoodu waa sidaas oo kale, Oo ninkii cibaadalaawe ah rajadiisuna way baabba'daa.

So are the ways of all who forget God; and the hope of the godless shall perish.

14 O o kaas kalsoonaantiisu way kala jajabtaa, Oo aaminaaddiisuna waa sida xuubcaaro oo kale.

For his confidence breaks, and his trust is a spider’s web.

15 W uxuu ku tiirsan doonaa gurigiisa, laakiinse gurigiisu ma taagnaan doono. Aad buu u xajin doonaa, laakiinse siima uu adkaan doono innaba.

He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand; he shall hold fast to it, but it shall not last.

16 I sagu waa ku cagaar qorraxda, Oo laamihiisa curdanka ahuna waxay ka soo kor baxaan beertiisa.

He is green before the sun, and his shoots go forth over his garden.

17 O o xididdadiisuna waxay isku duuduubaan taallo dhagaxyo ah, Oo wuxuu fiiriyaa meesha dhagaxyada.

his roots are wrapped about the heap, and see their way among the rocks.

18 I saga haddii meeshiisa laga baabbi'iyo, Markaasay inkiri doontaa isaga, oo waxay odhan doontaa, Anigu kumaba arag.

But if snatches him from his property, it will forget and deny him, I have never seen you.

19 F arxadda jidkiisu waa sidaas, Oo waxaa dhulka ka soo bixi doona kuwa kaleto.

See, this is the joy of going the way! And from the dust others will spring up.

20 I laah marnaba xoori maayo nin qumman, Kuwa sharka falase tiirin maayo.

Behold, as surely as God will never uphold wrongdoers, He will never cast away a blameless man.

21 W uxuu afkaaga ka buuxin doonaa qosol, Bushimahaagana qaylo farxad leh,

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with joyful shouting.

22 K uwa ku neceb waxay xidhan doonaan ceeb, Teendhada sharrowyaduna mar dambe siima jiri doonto.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tents of the wicked shall be no more.
