The courses or divisions of the priests, the sons of Aaron, were these: The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.

3 O o Daa'uud oo ay la jiraan Saadooq oo ahaa reer Elecaasaar iyo Axiimeleg oo ahaa reer Iitaamaar ayaa iyagii u kala qaybiyey sidii hawshoodu kala ahayd.

And David, with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided and distributed them according to their assigned duties.

4 O o reer Elecaasaar waxaa laga dhex helay niman madax ah oo ka badan intii reer Iitaamaar laga helay, oo iyagii sidanaa loo kala qaybiyey, reer Elecaasaar waxaa ku jiray lix iyo toban nin, oo qolooyin madax u ah, oo reer Iitaamaarna waxaa ku jiray siddeed, sidii qolooyinkoodu kala ahaayeen.

Since there were more chief men found among the sons of Eleazar than among the sons of Ithamar, they were divided thus: sixteen heads of fathers’ houses of the sons of Eleazar and eight of the sons of Ithamar according to their fathers’ houses.

5 O o sidanaa iyagii saami loogu kala qaybiyey, oo caynba caynkii kale waa lagu daray, waayo, waxaa jiray amiirro meesha quduuska ah, iyo amiirro Ilaah oo ahaa reer Elecaasaar iyo reer Iitaamaar labadaba.

Thus were they divided by lot, one group with the other, for there were chiefs of the sanctuary and chiefs of God drawn both from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.

6 O o Shemacyaah ina Netaneel oo karraanigii ahaa, oo ahaa reer Laawi ayaa iyagii ku hor qoray boqorkii, iyo amiirradii, iyo wadaadkii Saadooq, iyo Axiimeleg ina Aabyaataar, iyo madaxdii qolooyinkii wadaaddada iyo reer Laawi ahaa, in reer loo qaado reer Elecaasaar, reerna loo qaado reer Iitaamaar.

Shemaiah the scribe, son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded them in the presence of the king, the princes, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites—one father’s house being taken alternately for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

11 k ii sagaalaadna Yeeshuuca, kii tobnaadna Shekaanyaah,

The ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

12 k ii kow iyo tobnaadna Eliyaashiib, kii laba iyo tobnaadna Yaaqiim,

The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 k ii saddex iyo tobnaadna Xufaah, kii afar iyo tobnaadna Yeshebe'aab,

The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebe-ab,

14 k ii shan iyo tobnaadna Bilgaah, kii lix iyo tobnaadna Immeer,

The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

15 k ii toddoba iyo tobnaadna Xeesiir, kii siddeed iyo tobnaadna Hafisees,

The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

16 k ii sagaal iyo tobnaadna Fetaxyaah, kii labaatanaadna Yexesqeel,

The nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

17 k ii kow iyo labaatanaadna Yaakiin, kii laba iyo labaatanaadna Gaamuul,

The twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

18 k ii saddex iyo labaatanaadna Dalaayaah, kii afar iyo labaatanaadna Macasyaah.

The twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

19 K aasu wuxuu ahaa qaynuunkii ay u kala qaybsanaayeen oo ay hawshooda ku qaban jireen, inay gurigii Rabbiga ku soo galaan qaynuunkii iyaga lagu soo dhiibay awowgood Haaruun, sidii Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil uu isaga ku amray. Intii Ka Hadhay Reer Laawi

This was their order for coming on duty to serve in the house of the Lord, according to the procedure ordered for them by their Aaron, as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

20 O o reer Laawi intii hadhayna waxaa ka mid ahaa kuwan, wiilashii Camraam waxaa ka joogay Shuubaa'eel, wiilashii Shuubaa'eelna waxaa ka joogay Yexdeyaah.

As for the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram: Shubael; of the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.

21 R eer Rexabyaahna waxaa wiilashii Rexabyaah ka joogay Yishyaah oo madax ahaa.

Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah: Isshiah the chief.

22 R eer Isehaarna waxaa ka joogay Shelomoo, wiilashii Shelomoodna waxaa ka joogay Yaaxad.

Of the Izharites: Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.

23 W iilashii Xebroonna waxaa ka joogay Yeriyaah oo madax ahaa, iyo Amaryaah oo ahaa kii labaad, iyo Yaxasii'eel oo ahaa kii saddexaad, iyo Yeqamcaam oo ahaa kii afraad.

The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

The son of Uzziel: Micah; of the sons of Micah: Shamir.

25 O o Miikaah walaalkiisna wuxuu ahaa Yishyaah, wiilashii Yishyaahna waxaa ka joogay Sekaryaah.

The brother of Micah: Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.

26 W iilashii Meraariina waxaa ka joogay Maxlii iyo Mushii, wiilashii Yacasiyaahna waxaa ka joogay Benoo.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.

27 W iilashii Meraariina, waxaa reer Yacasiyaah ka joogay Benoo, iyo Shoham, iyo Sakuur, iyo Cibrii.

The sons of Merari: by Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

28 R eer Maxliina waxaa ka joogay Elecaasaar, oo aan waxba wiilal lahayn.

Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29 R eer Qiishna waxaa ka joogay ina Qiish, oo ahaa Yeraxme'eel.

Of Kish: the son of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30 R eer Mushii waxaa ka joogay Maxlii, iyo Ceeder, iyo Yeriimood. Kuwaasu waxay ahaayeen reer Laawi siday qolooyinkoodu kala ahaayeen.

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their fathers’ houses.

These likewise cast lots, as did their kinsmen the sons of Aaron, in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites—the head of each father’s house and his younger brother alike.
