So Israel made his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.

So Jacob arose and set out from Beersheba, and Israel’s sons conveyed their father, their little ones, and their wives in the wagons that Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

And they took their cattle and the gains which they had acquired in the land of Canaan and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his offspring with him:

7 k uwaas oo ahaa wiilashiisii iyo wiilashiisii wiilashoodii isaga la socday, iyo gabdhihiisii iyo wiilashiisii gabdhahoodii. Farcankiisii oo dhanna wuxuu keenay Masar.

His sons and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters and his sons’ daughters—all his offspring he brought with him into Egypt.

8 K uwanu waa magacyadii reer binu Israa'iil oo Masar yimid, Yacquub iyo wiilashiisii: Ruubeen wuxuu ahaa curadkii Yacquub.

And these are the names of the descendants of Israel who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

9 W iilashii Ruubeenna waxay ahaayeen Xanoog, iyo Falluu, iyo Xesroon, iyo Karmii.

And the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

10 W iilashii Simecoonna waxay ahaayeen Yemuu'eel, iyo Yaamiin, iyo Ohad, iyo Yaakiin, iyo Sohar, iyo Shaa'uul oo ay naag reer Kancaan ihi dhashay.

The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.

11 W iilashii Laawina waxay ahaayeen Gershoon, iyo Qohaad, iyo Meraarii.

The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12 W iilashii Yahuudahna waxay ahaayeen Ceer, iyo Oonaan, iyo Sheelaah, iyo Feres, iyo Serax; laakiinse Ceer iyo Oonaan waxay ku dhinteen dalkii Kancaan. Wiilashii Feresna waxay ahaayeen Xesroon iyo Xaamuul.

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

13 W iilashii Isaakaarna waxay ahaayeen Toolac iyo Fuwaah, iyo Yoob, iyo Shimroon.

The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron.

14 W iilashii Sebulunna waxay ahaayeen Sered, iyo Eeloon, iyo Yaxle'eel.

The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.

15 I ntaasu waa wiilashii Lee'ah oo ay Yacquub ugu dhashay Fadan Araam, iyo weliba gabadhiisii Diinah ahayd. Yacquub wiilashiisa iyo gabdhihiisa oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen saddex iyo soddon.

These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Padan-aram, together with his daughter Dinah. All of his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.

16 W iilashii Gaadna waxay ahaayeen Sifiyoon, iyo Xaggii, iyo Shuunii, iyo Esboon, iyo Ceerii, iyo Aroodii, iyo Areelii.

The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.

17 W iilashii Aasheerna waxay ahaayeen Yimnaah, iyo Yishwaah, iyo Yishwii, iyo Beriicaah, iyo walaashood Serax; wiilashii Beriicaahna waxay ahaayeen Xeber iyo Malkii'eel.

The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18 K uwanu waa wiilashii Silfah, tii uu Laabaan siiyey gabadhiisii Lee'ah, oo intaasay Yacquub u dhashay, waxayna ahaayeen lix iyo toban.

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter. And these she bore to Jacob—sixteen persons all told.

19 N aagtii Yacquub oo Raaxeel ahayd wiilasheedii waxay ahaayeen Yuusuf iyo Benyaamiin.

The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.

20 Y uusufna dalka Masar waxaa ugu dhashay Manaseh iyo Efrayim, oo waxaa u dhashay Aasenad ina Footiiferac, oo wadaadkii Oon ahaa.

And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.

21 W iilashii Benyaamiinna waxay ahaayeen Belac, iyo Beker, iyo Ashbeel, iyo Geeraa, iyo Nacamaan, iyo Eexii, iyo Rosh, iyo Mufiim, iyo Xufiim, iyo Ared.

And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

22 K uwanu waa wiilashii Raaxeel u dhashay Yacquub, kulligoodna waxay ahaayeen afar iyo toban.

These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob—fourteen persons in all.

23 W iilashii Daanna waxay ahaayeen Xushiim.

The son of Dan: Hushim.

24 W iilashii Naftaalina waxay ahaayeen Yaxse'eel, iyo Guunii, iyo Yeser, iyo Shilleem.

The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.

25 K uwanuna waa wiilashii Bilhah, tii uu Laabaan siiyey gabadhiisii Raaxeel, oo intaasay Yacquub u dhashay; kulligoodna waxay ahaayeen toddoba.

These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter. And she bore these to Jacob—seven persons in all.

26 I ntii Yacquub Masar la timid, oo xanjaadkiisa ka soo baxday, haddaan lagu darin wiilashii Yacquub naagahooda, kulligood waxay ahaayeen lix iyo lixdan.

All the persons who came with Jacob into Egypt—who were his own offspring, not counting the wives of Jacob’s sons—were sixty-six persons all told.

27 W iilashii Yuusuf Masar ugu dhashayna waxay ahaayeen laba. Reerkii Yacquub dadkiisii Masar yimid oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen toddobaatan.

And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.

And he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to direct him to Goshen and meet him there; and they came into the land of Goshen.

Then Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen; and he presented himself and gave distinct evidence of himself to him, and fell on the neck and wept on his neck a good while.

30 I sraa'iilna wuxuu Yuusuf ku yidhi, Haddaba aan iska dhinto, mar haddaan arkay wejigaaga, oo aad weli nooshahay.

And Israel said to Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen your face that you are still alive.

Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, I will go up and tell Pharaoh and say to him, My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

32 N imankaasuna waa adhijirro, waayo, waxay ahaan jireen lo'ley; waxayna la yimaadeen adhigoodii, iyo lo'doodii, iyo waxay haysteen oo dhan.

And the men are shepherds, for their occupation has been keeping livestock, and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.

33 M arkii Fircoon idiin yeedho, oo idinku yidhaahdo, Shuqulkiinnu waa maxay?

When Pharaoh calls you and says, What is your occupation?

34 w axaad ku tidhaahdaan, Annagoo addoommadaada ah waxaannu tan iyo yaraantayadii ahaan jirnay lo'ley, annaga iyo awowayaashayoba; si aad u degtaan dalka Goshen; waayo, adhijir waluba waa u karaahiyo Masriyiinta.

You shall say, Your servants’ occupation has been as keepers of livestock from our youth until now, both we and our fathers before us—in order that you may live in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.
