Maahmaahyadii 8 ~ Proverbs 8

1 H addaba xigmaddu sow ma dhawaaqin? Waxgarashaduna codkeedii sow kor uma qaadin?

Does not skillful and godly Wisdom cry out, and understanding raise her voice ?

2 W axay taagan tahay meelaha sarreeya Oo jidka agtiisa ah, meesha waddooyinku ku kulmaan.

On the top of the heights beside the way, where the paths meet, stands Wisdom;

3 O o waxay ka qaylisaa irdaha agtooda, Meesha magaalada laga soo galo, Iyo meesha albaabbada laga soo galoba.

At the gates at the entrance of the town, at the coming in at the doors, she cries out:

4 N imanyahow, idinkaan idiin dhawaaqayaa, Oo codkayguna wuxuu u yeedhayaa binu-aadmiga.

To you, O men, I call, and my voice is directed to the sons of men.

5 G araadlaawayaashow, miyir lahaada, Nacasyadoy, waxgarasho qalbiga ku haysta.

O you simple and thoughtless ones, understand prudence; you fools, be of an understanding heart.

6 I maqla, waayo, waxaan ku hadlayaa waxyaalo wanaagsan, Oo waxaan bushimaha u kala qaadayaa waxyaalo qumman.

Hear, for I will speak excellent and princely things; and the opening of my lips shall be for right things.

7 M axaa yeelay, afkaygu run buu ku hadlayaa; Oo bushimahayguna shar bay karhaan.

For my mouth shall utter truth, and wrongdoing is detestable and loathsome to my lips.

8 E rayada afkayga oo dhammi waa xaq, Oo innaba wax qalloocan ama maroorsan lagama helo.

All the words of my mouth are righteous (upright and in right standing with God); there is nothing contrary to truth or crooked in them.

9 I yagu dhammaantood waa u cad yihiin kii wax garanaya, Oo waana u qumman yihiin kuwa aqoonta hela.

They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.

10 E dbintayda qaata, lacagse ha qaadanina, Oo aqoontana ka hor doorta dahabka saafiga ah.

Receive my instruction in preference to silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold,

11 W aayo, xigmaddu waa ka sii wanaagsan tahay luulka, Oo wax alla waxa la damci karo oo dhanna iyada lalama simi karo.

For skillful and godly Wisdom is better than rubies or pearls, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12 A nigoo xigmad ahu, waxaan la fadhiyaa miyir, Oo waxaan helaa aqoon iyo digtoonaan.

I, Wisdom, make prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion.

13 R abbiga ka cabsashadiisu waa in sharka la naco. Kibirka, iyo madaxweynaanta, iyo jidka sharka, Iyo afka qalloocan ayaan anigu necbahay.

The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

14 T alo iyo xigmad anigaa iska leh, Oo waxaan ahay waxgarasho, xoogna waan leeyahay.

I have counsel and sound knowledge, I have understanding, I have might and power.

15 B oqorradu gacantayday wax ku xukumaan, Oo amiirraduna amarkaygay garta ku gooyaan.

By me kings reign and rulers decree justice.

16 T aliyayaasha iyo saraakiisha iyo weliba xaakinnada dunida oo dhammuna Anigay wax iigu taliyaan.

By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges and governors of the earth.

17 A nigu kuwa i jecel waan jeclahay, Oo kuwa aad iyo aad ii doonaana way i heli doonaan.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me.

18 A nigaa iska leh taajirnimo iyo sharaf. Iyo weliba maal raagaya iyo xaqnimoba.

Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God).

19 M idhahaygu way ka sii wanaagsan yihiin dahab, haah, oo xataa dahab aad u wanaagsan way ka sii wanaagsan yihiin, Oo waxa ii kordhaana way ka sii wanaagsan yihiin lacag la doortay.

My fruit is better than gold, yes, than refined gold, and my increase than choice silver.

20 A nigu waxaan ku socdaa jidka xaqnimada, Iyo waddooyinka garta dhexdooda,

I walk in the way of righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation), in the midst of the paths of justice,

21 S i aan kuwa i jecel uga dhigo inay maal dhaxlaan, Oo aan khasnadahooda ugu buuxiyo.

That I may cause those who love me to inherit riches and that I may fill their treasuries.

22 R abbigu wuxuu i lahaan jiray bilowgii jidkiisa Iyo shuqulladiisii hore ka hor.

The Lord formed and brought me forth at the beginning of His way, before His acts of old.

23 A niga aakhirada hore waa lay taagay, waxaan jiray bilowgii ugu horreeyey, Ama intaan dunidu jirin ka hor.

I was inaugurated and ordained from everlasting, from the beginning, before ever the earth existed.

24 A nigu waxaan dhashay intaan moolal jirin ka hor, Iyo intaanay jirin ilo biyo ka buuxaan.

When there were no deeps, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains laden with water.

25 I ntaan la qotomin buuraha Iyo kuraha ka hor ayaan anigu dhashay,

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth,

26 I ntaanuu isagu samayn dhulka iyo berrimmada, Amase ciiddii dunida ugu horraysay.

While as yet He had not made the land or the fields or the first of the dust of the earth.

27 M arkuu samooyinka hagaajiyey anigu waan joogay, Markuu xariijinta ku wareejiyey moolka dushiisa,

When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He drew a circle upon the face of the deep and stretched out the firmament over it,

28 M arkuu cirka sare taagay, Markii ilaha moolku xoog yeesheen,

When He made firm the skies above, when He established the fountains of the deep,

29 M arkuu badda xad u yeelay Si aan biyuhu amarkiisa ugu xadgudbin, Markuu aasaaskii dhulka dhigay,

When He gave to the sea its limit and His decree that the waters should not transgress His command, when He appointed the foundations of the earth—

30 M arkaas anigu isagaan dhinac joogay, anigoo ah sidii hawlhoggaamiye, Oo anigu maalin kasta faraxiisaan ahaa, Oo mar kasta hortiisaan ku rayrayn jiray;

Then I was beside Him as a master and director of the work; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing before Him always,

31 W axaan ku rayrayn jiray inta dhulkiisa la degay, Oo waxaan ku farxi jiray binu-aadmiga.

Rejoicing in His inhabited earth and delighting in the sons of men.

32 H addaba sidaas daraaddeed, wiilashoy, bal i maqla; Waayo, waxaa barakaysan kuwa jidadkayga xajiya.

Now therefore listen to me, O you sons; for blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who keep my ways.

33 E dbinta dhegaysta, oo caqli yeesha, Oo ha diidina.

Hear instruction and be wise, and do not refuse or neglect it.

34 W axaa barakaysan ninka i maqla, Oo maalin kasta irdahayga igu dhawra, Oo albaabbadayda igu suga.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 W aayo, ku alla kii i helaa wuxuu helaa nolol, Oo Rabbiguna raalli buu ka ahaan doonaa.

For whoever finds me finds life and draws forth and obtains favor from the Lord.

36 L aakiinse kii igu dembaabaa naftiisuu wax yeelaa, Kuwa aniga i neceb oo dhammu waxay jecel yihiin dhimasho.

But he who misses me or sins against me wrongs and injures himself; all who hate me love and court death.
