1 R abbiyow, ninka sharka leh iga samatabbixi, Oo iga ilaali ninka dulmiga badan,

Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men;

2 K uwaasoo qalbigooda kaga fikira belaayooyin, Had iyo goorna dagaal bay isu soo urursadaan.

They devise mischiefs in their heart; continually they gather together and stir up wars.

3 W axay carrabkoodii u afaysteen sidii abeeso oo kale, Oo bushimahoodana waxaa ku hoos jirta waabaydii jilbiska. (Selaah)

They sharpen their tongues like a serpent’s; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah!

4 R abbiyow, gacmaha kuwa sharka leh iga dhawr, Oo iga ilaali ninka dulmiga badan, Kuwaasoo u qasdiyey inay tallaabooyinkayga dhinac u leexiyaan.

Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent men who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

5 K uwa kibirka badanu waxay ii qariyeen dabin iyo xadhko, Oo jidka dhinaciisana waxay ii gogleen shabag, oo siriq bay ii qooleen. (Selaah)

The proud have hidden a snare for me; they have spread cords as a net by the wayside, they have set traps for me. Selah!

6 W axaan Rabbiga ku idhi, Waxaad tahay Ilaahayga, Haddaba, Rabbiyow, bal dhegta u dhig codka baryootankayga.

I said to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my supplications, O Lord.

7 I laahow Sayidow, xooggii badbaadadaydow, Maalintii dagaalka madaxaygaad dabooshay.

O God the Lord, the Strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

8 R abbiyow, kuwa sharka leh ha siin waxay doonayaan, Oo horay ha u sii wadin xeeladdooda sharka ah, waaba intaasoo ay kor isu qaadaane. (Selaah)

Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; further not their wicked plot and device, lest they exalt themselves. Selah!

9 O o kuwa igu wareegsan madaxoodana Belaayada bushimahooda ka soo baxaysa ha daboosho.

Those who are fencing me in raise their heads; may the mischief of their own lips and the very things they desire for me come upon them.

10 D huxulo ololaya ha ku soo dul daateen, Oo iyaga ha lagu dhex tuuro dabka, Iyo godad aad u dhaadheer, si aanay mar dambe u soo sara kicin.

Let burning coals fall upon them; let them be cast into the fire, into floods of water or deep water pits, from which they shall not rise.

11 N inka sharka ku hadlaa yaanu dhulka ku sii waarin, Sharku wuxuu u ugaadhsan doonaa ninka dulmiga badan inuu afgembiyo aawadeed.

Let not a man of slanderous tongue be established in the earth; let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12 W aan ogahay in Rabbigu kuwa dhibban dacwadooda u gar qaadi doono, Oo uu kuwa baahanna xaqooda siin doono.

I know and rest in confidence upon it that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will secure justice for the poor and needy.

13 H ubaal kuwa xaqa ahu waxay ku mahadnaqi doonaan magacaaga, Oo kuwa qummanuna waxay joogi doonaan hortaada.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence (before Your very face).
