1 J ehová Dios mío, en ti he confiado; Sálvame de todos los que me persiguen, y líbrame,

¶ O LORD my God, in thee I have put my trust: save me from all those that persecute me, and deliver me

2 N o sea que desgarren mi alma cual león, Y me destrocen sin que haya quien me libre.

Lest they take my soul, as a lion dismembers his prey when there is none to deliver.

3 J ehová Dios mío, si yo he hecho esto, Si hay en mis manos iniquidad;

O LORD my God, if I have done this: if there is iniquity in my hands,

4 S i he dado mal pago al que estaba en paz conmigo (Antes he libertado al que sin causa era mi enemigo),

if I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me, then let my persecutor escape without retribution.

5 P ersiga el enemigo mi alma, y alcáncela; Huelle en tierra mi vida, Y mi honra ponga en el polvo. Selah

Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; let him tread down my life upon the earth and lay my honour in the dust. Selah.

6 L evántate, oh Jehová, en tu ira; Álzate en contra de la furia de mis angustiadores, Y apréstate a defenderme en el juicio que has convocado.

Arise, O LORD, in thine anger; lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake the judgment in my favour that thou hast commanded.

7 T e rodeará la congregación de las naciones, Y sobre ella vuélvete a sentar en lo alto.

So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about, for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

8 J ehová juzgará a los pueblos; Júzgame, oh Jehová, conforme a mi justicia, Y conforme a mi integridad.

The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.

9 Q ue cese ya la maldad de los inicuos; afianza, en cambio, tú al justo; Porque el Dios justo prueba la mente y el corazón.

Let wickedness consume the wicked; but establish the just: for the righteous God is he who tries the hearts and kidneys.

10 M i escudo está en Dios, Que salva a los rectos de corazón.

¶ My shield is in God, he who saves the upright in heart.

11 D ios es juez justo, Y Dios está airado contra el impío todos los días.

God is he who judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

12 S i no se arrepiente, él afilará su espada; Armado tiene ya su arco, y lo ha preparado.

If he does not turn, he will whet his sword; he has bent his bow and made it ready.

13 A simismo ha preparado armas de muerte, Y ha templado al fuego sus saetas.

He has also prepared for him the weapons of death; he ordains his arrows against the persecutors.

14 H e aquí, el impío concibió maldad, Gestó iniquidad, Y dio a luz fraude.

Behold, he travails with iniquity and has conceived of his own work and brought forth falsehood.

15 P ozo ha cavado, y ha ahondado; Y en el hoyo que hizo caerá.

He made a pit and deepened it and shall fall into the ditch which he made.

16 S u iniquidad se volverá sobre su cabeza, Y su agravio caerá sobre su propia coronilla.

His work shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

17 A labaré a Jehová conforme a su justicia, Y cantaré al nombre de Jehová el Altísimo.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
