1 R ecibid al débil en la fe, pero no para contender sobre opiniones.

¶ Bear with the one who is sick in the faith, but not unto doubtful discernment.

2 P orque uno cree que se puede comer de todo; otro, que es débil, come legumbres.

For one believes that he may eat all things; another, who is sick, eats vegetables.

3 E l que come, no menosprecie al que no come, y el que no come, no juzgue al que come; porque Dios le ha recibido.

Let not him that eats despise him that does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him that eats; for God has raised him up.

4 ¿ Quién eres tú para juzgar al criado ajeno? Para su propio señor está en pie, o cae; pero estará firme, porque poderoso es el Señor para sostenerle en pie.

Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? By his own master he stands or falls; and if he falls, he shall be made to stand, for God is powerful to make him stand.

5 U no hace diferencia entre día y día; otro juzga iguales todos los días. Que cada uno esté plenamente convencido en su propia mente.

Also, some make a difference between one day and another; others esteem every day alike. Let each one be fully persuaded in his own soul.

6 E l que hace caso del día, lo hace para el Señor; y el que no hace caso del día, para el Señor no lo hace. El que come, para el Señor come, porque da gracias a Dios; y el que no come, para el Señor no come, y da gracias a Dios.

He that observes the day, let him observe it unto the Lord; and he that does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He that eats, eats unto the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, unto the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

7 P orque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí, y ninguno muere para sí.

For none of us live for ourselves, and no one dies for himself.

8 P ues si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos; y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Así pues, ya sea que vivamos, o que muramos, del Señor somos.

For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

9 P orque Cristo para esto murió y resucitó, y volvió a vivir, para ser Señor, así de los muertos como de los que viven.

For to this end Christ both died and rose and revived: to thus exercise lordship over the dead as well as over the living.

10 P ero tú, ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? O tú también, ¿por qué menosprecias a tu hermano? Porque todos compareceremos ante el tribunal de Cristo.

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou belittle thy brother? for we shall all stand before the tribunal of the Christ.

11 P orque escrito está: Vivo yo, dice el Señor, que ante mí se doblará toda rodilla, Y toda lengua confesará a Dios.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 D e manera que cada uno de nosotros dará a Dios cuenta de sí.

So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.

13 A sí que, ya no nos juzguemos más los unos a los otros, sino más bien decidid no poner tropiezo u ocasión de caer al hermano.

Let us, therefore, not judge one another any more, but judge this rather: that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

14 Y o sé, y estoy persuadido en el Señor Jesús, de que nada es inmundo en sí mismo; mas para el que piensa que algo es inmundo, para él lo es.

I know and trust in the Lord Jesus that for his sake there is nothing unclean, but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

15 P ero si por causa de la comida tu hermano es contristado, ya no andas conforme al amor. No arruines con tu comida a aquel por quien Cristo murió.

But if thy brother is grieved because of thy food, now thou dost not walk in charity. Do not destroy him with thy food, for whom Christ died.

16 N o sea, pues, vituperado vuestro bien;

Let not then your good be evil spoken of;

17 p orque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida, sino justicia, paz y gozo en el Espíritu Santo.

for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18 P orque el que en esto sirve a Cristo, agrada a Dios, y es aprobado por los hombres.

For he that in these things serves the Christ is well pleasing unto God and approved of men.

19 A sí que, sigamos lo que contribuye a la paz y a la mutua edificación.

Let us, therefore, follow after the things which make for peace and the edification of each one to the others.

20 N o destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. En realidad, todas las cosas son limpias; pero es malo que el hombre haga tropezar a otros con lo que come.

Because of food, do not destroy the work of God. All things indeed are clean, but it is evil for that man who eats with offense.

21 B ueno es no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni nada en que tu hermano tropiece, o se escandalice, o se debilite.

It is good neither to eat flesh nor to drink wine nor do any thing by which thy brother stumbles or is offended or is sick.

22 ¿ Tienes tú fe? Tenla para contigo delante de Dios. Dichoso el que no se condena a sí mismo en lo que aprueba.

Thou hast faith; have it to thyself before God. Blessed is he that does not condemn himself with that thing which he allows.

23 P ero el que duda, se hace culpable, si come, porque no lo hace por fe; y todo lo que no proviene de fe, es pecado.

And he that makes a difference is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat by faith; and whatsoever is not out of faith is sin.
