1 H abló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 H abla a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a todos los hijos de Israel, y diles: Esto es lo que ha mandado Jehová:

Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons and unto all the sons of Israel and say unto them: This is what the LORD has commanded, saying,

3 C ualquier varón de la casa de Israel que degüelle buey o cordero o cabra, en el campamento o fuera de él,

any man of the house of Israel that kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp or that kills it out of the camp

4 y no lo traiga a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión para ofrecer ofrenda a Jehová delante del tabernáculo de Jehová, será culpado de sangre el tal varón; sangre derramó; será cortado el tal varón de entre su pueblo,

and does not bring it unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, blood shall be imputed unto that man; he has shed blood, and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

5 a fin de que traigan los hijos de Israel sus sacrificios, los que sacrifican en medio del campo, para que los traigan a Jehová a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión al sacerdote, y sacrifiquen ellos sacrificios de paz a Jehová.

to the end that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they sacrifice in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, unto the priest and sacrifice sacrifices of peace unto the LORD.

6 Y el sacerdote esparcirá la sangre sobre el altar de Jehová a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión, y quemará la gordura en olor grato a Jehová.

And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony and incense the fat in a very acceptable aroma unto the LORD.

7 Y nunca más sacrificarán sus sacrificios a los demonios, tras de los cuales han fornicado; tendrán esto por estatuto perpetuo de generación en generación.

And they shall never again offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they fornicate. They shall have this as a perpetual statute throughout their ages.

8 L es dirás también: Cualquier varón de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran entre vosotros, que ofrezca holocausto o sacrificio,

And thou shalt also say unto them: Any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among you that offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

9 y no lo traiga a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión para hacerlo a Jehová, el tal varón será igualmente cortado de su pueblo. Prohibición de comer la sangre

and does not bring it unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony to offer it unto the LORD, even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

10 S i cualquier varón de la casa de Israel o de los extranjeros que moran entre ellos, come alguna sangre, yo pondré mi rostro contra la persona que coma sangre, y la cortaré de entre su pueblo.

¶ And any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you that eats any blood at all, I will set my face against that person that eats blood and will cut them off from among his people.

11 P orque la vida de la carne en la sangre está, y yo os la he dado para hacer expiación sobre el altar por vuestras almas; y la misma sangre hará expiación de la persona.

For the soul (or life) of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to reconcile your persons (or souls) upon the altar; therefore the same blood reconciles the person.

12 P or tanto, he dicho a los hijos de Israel: Ninguna persona de vosotros comerá sangre, ni el extranjero que mora entre vosotros comerá sangre.

Therefore I have said unto the sons of Israel: No person of you shall eat blood; neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood.

13 Y cualquier varón de los hijos de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran entre ellos, que cace animal o ave que sea de comer, derramará su sangre y la cubrirá con tierra.

And any man of the sons of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you who hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.

14 P orque la vida de toda carne es su sangre; por tanto, he dicho a los hijos de Israel: No comeréis la sangre de ninguna carne, porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre; cualquiera que la coma será cortado.

For the soul of all flesh, its life, is in its blood; therefore, I have said unto the sons of Israel, Ye shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the soul (or the life) of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.

15 Y cualquier persona, así de los nativos como de los extranjeros, que coma animal mortecino o despedazado por fiera, lavará sus vestidos y a sí misma se lavará con agua, y será inmunda hasta la noche; entonces será limpia.

And any person that eats that which died of itself or that which was torn by beasts whether it is a natural of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.

16 Y si no los lava, ni lava su cuerpo, llevará su iniquidad.

But if he washes them not, nor bathes his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.
