1 T ú, hijo de hombre, profetiza a los montes de Israel, y di: Montes de Israel, oíd palabra de Jehová.

¶ Also, thou son of man, prophesy upon the mountains of Israel and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.

2 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto el enemigo dijo contra vosotros: ¡Ea!, también las alturas eternas nos han sido dadas por heredad;

Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because the enemy hath said regarding you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession;

3 p rofetiza, por tanto, y di: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto habéis sido asolados y os han codiciado de todas partes para que vinierais a ser posesión de las otras naciones, y andáis en boca de habladores y en la difamación de la gente,

therefore prophesy and say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because they have made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the Gentiles, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers and are an infamy of the people;

4 p or tanto, montes de Israel, oíd palabra del Señor Jehová: Así dice el Señor Jehová a los montes y a los collados, a los arroyos y a los valles, a las ruinas asoladas y a las ciudades desamparadas, que fueron entregadas al pillaje y al escarnio de las otras naciones alrededor;

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus hath the Lord GOD said to the mountains and to the hills, to the rivers and to the valleys, to the ruins and the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken which became a prey and derision to the residue of the Gentiles that are round about,

5 p or eso, así dice el Señor Jehová: He hablado por cierto en el fuego de mi celo contra las demás naciones, y contra todo Edom, que se apropiaron entre ellos mi tierra por heredad con la alegría de todo su corazón y con el desprecio en el alma, para despoblarla y saquearla.

therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Surely in the fire of my jealousy I have spoken against the other Gentiles and against all Idumea, who have disputed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful desires, to cast it out for a prey.

6 P or tanto, profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel, y di a los montes y a los collados, y a los arroyos y a los valles: Así dice el Señor Jehová: He aquí, en mi celo y en mi furor he hablado, por cuanto habéis llevado el oprobio de las naciones.

Prophesy therefore upon the land of Israel and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury because ye have borne the shame of the Gentiles,

7 P or lo cual así dice el Señor Jehová: Yo he alzado mi mano, y he jurado que las naciones que están a vuestro alrededor han de llevar su afrenta.

therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: I have lifted up my hand, Surely the Gentiles that are about you: they shall bear their shame.

8 M as vosotros, oh montes de Israel, daréis vuestras ramas, y llevaréis vuestro fruto para mi pueblo Israel; porque están a punto de volver.

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people of Israel, for they are at hand to come.

9 P orque he aquí que yo estoy por vosotros, y a vosotros me volveré, y seréis labrados y sembrados.

For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown;

10 Y haré multiplicar hombres sobre vosotros, a toda la casa de Israel, toda ella; y las ciudades serán habitadas, y edificadas las ruinas.

and I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruins shall be built.

11 M ultiplicaré sobre vosotros hombres y ganado, y serán multiplicados y crecerán; y os haré morar como solíais antiguamente, y os haré mayor bien que en vuestros principios; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall multiply and grow; and I will cause thee to dwell as was thy desire of old and will do better unto you than at your beginnings; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

12 Y haré andar hombres sobre vosotros, a mi pueblo Israel; y tomarán posesión de ti, y les serás por heredad, y nunca más volverás a privarles de sus hijos.

And I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and from now on thou shalt no longer bereave them of sons.

13 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto dicen de vosotros: Eres una tierra que devora a sus hombres, y has privado de hijos a tu nación;

Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because they say of you, Thou land that devours up men and hast bereaved thy nations of sons,

14 p or tanto, no devorarás más hombres, y nunca más matarás a los hijos de tu nación, dice el Señor Jehová.

therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations of sons any more, saith the Lord GOD.

15 Y nunca más consentiré que se oiga contra ti el ultraje de las naciones, ni cargarás por más tiempo con los denuestos de los pueblos, ni volverás a privar de hijos a tu nación, dice el Señor Jehová.

Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the Gentiles any longer, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the peoples any more, neither shalt thou cause the sons of thy inhabitants to die any longer, saith the Lord GOD.

16 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

17 H ijo de hombre, mientras la casa de Israel moraba en su tierra, la contaminó con sus caminos y con sus obras; como inmundicia de menstruosa fue su camino delante de mí.

Son of man, the house of Israel which dwells in their land has defiled it with their own ways and with their works; their way was before me as the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.

18 P or lo cual derramé mi ira sobre ellos por la sangre que habían derramado sobre la tierra; porque la contaminaron con sus ídolos.

And I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols with which they had polluted it:

19 L es esparcí entre las naciones, y fueron dispersados por las tierras; conforme a sus caminos y conforme a sus obras les castigué.

And I scattered them among the Gentiles, and they were dispersed through the countries; according to their ways and according to their doings I judged them.

20 Y cuando llegaron a las naciones adonde fueron, profanaron mi santo nombre, diciéndose de ellos: Éstos son pueblo de Jehová, y han salido de la tierra de él.

And when they entered unto the Gentiles, where they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD and are gone forth out of his land.

21 P ero he tenido lástima de mi santo nombre, profanado por la casa de Israel entre las naciones adonde fueron.

And it has pained me to see my holy name profaned by the house of Israel among the Gentiles where they went.

22 P or tanto, di a la casa de Israel: Así dice el Señor Jehová: No lo hago por vosotros, oh casa de Israel, sino por causa de mi santo nombre, el cual profanasteis vosotros entre las naciones adonde habéis llegado.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: I do not do this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for my holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the Gentiles, where ye went.

23 Y santificaré mi gran nombre, profanado entre las naciones, el cual profanasteis vosotros en medio de ellas; y sabrán las naciones que yo soy Jehová, dice el Señor Jehová, cuando yo sea santificado en vosotros delante de sus ojos.

And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the Gentiles, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the Gentiles shall know that I am the LORD, said the Lord GOD when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 P ues yo os tomaré de entre las naciones, y os recogeré de todas las tierras, y os traeré a vuestro país.

And I will take you from among the Gentiles and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land.

25 E sparciré sobre vosotros agua limpia, y quedaréis limpios; de todas vuestras inmundicias y de todos vuestros ídolos os limpiaré.

¶ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

26 O s daré también un corazón nuevo, y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de vosotros; y quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra, y os daré un corazón de carne.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

27 Y pondré dentro de vosotros mi Espíritu, y haré que andéis en mis estatutos, y guardéis mis ordenanzas, y las pongáis por obra.

And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my commandments, and ye shall keep my rights, and do them.

28 H abitaréis en la tierra que di a vuestros padres, y vosotros me seréis por pueblo, y yo seré a vosotros por Dios.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

29 Y os libraré de todas vuestras inmundicias; y llamaré al trigo, y lo multiplicaré, y no os haré pasar hambre.

I will also keep you from all your uncleanness: and I will call to the wheat and will multiply it and lay no famine upon you.

30 M ultiplicaré asimismo el fruto de los árboles, y el producto de los campos, para que nunca más recibáis oprobio de hambre entre las naciones.

I will multiply likewise the fruit of the trees, and the fruit of the fields, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the Gentiles.

31 Y os acordaréis de vuestros malos caminos, y de vuestras obras que no fueron buenas; y sentiréis asco de vosotros mismos por vuestras iniquidades y por vuestras abominaciones.

Then ye shall remember your own evil ways and your doings that were not good and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

32 N o lo hago por vosotros, dice Jehová el Señor, sabedlo bien; avergonzaos y cubríos de confusión por vuestras iniquidades, casa de Israel.

Not for your sakes do I do this, said the Lord GOD, be it known unto you; be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel.

33 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: El día que os limpie de todas vuestras iniquidades, haré también que sean habitadas las ciudades, y las ruinas serán reedificadas.

Thus said the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities. I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.

34 Y la tierra que estuvo asolada, será labrada, después de haber permanecido asolada a ojos de todos los que pasaron.

And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by;

35 Y dirán: Esta tierra que estaba asolada ha venido a ser como el jardín del Edén; y estas ciudades que eran desiertas y asoladas y arruinadas, están fortificadas y habitadas.

who said, This desolate land used to be like the garden of Eden; and these waste and desolate and ruined cities used to be fortified.

36 Y las naciones que queden en vuestros alrededores sabrán que yo Jehová reedifiqué lo que estaba derribado, y planté lo que estaba desolado; yo Jehová he hablado, y lo haré.

And the Gentiles that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD built the ruined places and planted that which was desolate; I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.

37 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Aún seré solicitado por la casa de Israel, para hacerles esto; multiplicaré los hombres como se multiplican los rebaños.

Thus hath the Lord GOD said; I will yet be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will multiply men like flocks.

38 C omo las ovejas consagradas, como las ovejas de Jerusalén en sus fiestas solemnes, así las ciudades desiertas serán llenas de rebaños de hombres; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

As the holy sheep, as the sheep of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
