1 A laba, oh alma mía, a Jehová.

¶ Halelu-JAH. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

2 A labaré a Jehová en mi vida; Cantaré salmos a mi Dios mientras viva.

In my life I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises unto my God while I live.

3 N o confiéis en los príncipes, Ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él poder para salvar.

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no salvation.

4 P ues expira, y vuelve a la tierra; En ese mismo día perecen sus proyectos.

His spirit shall go forth, he shall return to his earth; in that very day all his thoughts shall perish.

5 B ienaventurado aquel cuyo ayudador es el Dios de Jacob, Cuya esperanza está en Jehová su Dios,

¶ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God;

6 E l cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, El mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; Que guarda verdad para siempre,

who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keeps truth for ever:

7 Q ue hace justicia a los agraviados, Que da pan a los hambrientos. Jehová liberta a los cautivos;

He who does justice unto the oppressed; who gives bread to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:

8 J ehová abre los ojos a los ciegos; Jehová endereza a los encorvados; Jehová ama a los justos.

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises those that are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous:

9 J ehová protege a los extranjeros; Al huérfano y a la viuda sostiene, Y trastorna el camino de los impíos.

The LORD preserves the strangers; he raises up the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

10 R einará Jehová para siempre; Tu Dios, oh Sión, de generación en generación. Aleluya.

The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halelu-JAH.
