1 A legraos, oh justos, en Jehová; A los rectos les va bien la alabanza.

Sing for joy in the Lord, you who are right with Him. It is right for the pure in heart to praise Him.

2 A clamad a Jehová con arpa; Cantadle con salterio y decacordio.

Give thanks to the Lord with harps. Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.

3 C antadle cántico nuevo; Hacedlo bien, tañendo con júbilo.

Sing to Him a new song. Play well with loud sounds of joy.

4 P orque recta es la palabra de Jehová, Y toda su obra es hecha con fidelidad.

For the Word of the Lord is right. He is faithful in all He does.

5 É l ama la justicia y el derecho; De la misericordia de Jehová está llena la tierra.

He loves what is right and good and what is fair. The earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord.

6 P or la palabra de Jehová fueron hechos los cielos, Y todo el ejército de ellos por el aliento de su boca.

The heavens were made by the Word of the Lord. All the stars were made by the breath of His mouth.

7 É l junta como montón las aguas del mar; Él pone en depósitos los abismos.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as in a bag. He places the waters in store-houses.

8 T ema a Jehová toda la tierra; Teman delante de él todos los habitantes del mundo.

Let all the earth fear the Lord. Let all the people of the world honor Him.

9 P orque él dijo, y fue hecho; Él mandó, y así fue.

For He spoke, and it was done. He spoke with strong words, and it stood strong.

10 J ehová frustra el plan de las naciones, Y anula las maquinaciones de los pueblos.

The Lord brings the plans of nations to nothing. He wrecks the plans of the people.

11 P ero el consejo de Jehová permanecerá para siempre; Los designios de su corazón por todas las generaciones.

The plans of the Lord stand forever. The plans of His heart stand through the future of all people.

12 B ienaventurada la nación cuyo Dios es Jehová, El pueblo que él escogió como heredad para sí.

Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord. Happy are the people He has chosen for His own.

13 D esde lo alto de los cielos mira Jehová; Ve a todos los hijos de los hombres;

The Lord looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

14 D esde el lugar de su morada observa A todos los moradores de la tierra.

From where He sits He looks upon all who live on the earth.

15 É l modeló el corazón de cada uno, Y conoce a fondo todas sus acciones.

He made the hearts of them all. And He understands whatever they do.

16 E l rey no se salva por la multitud del ejército, Ni escapa el valiente por la mucha fuerza.

No king is saved by the power of his strong army. A soldier is not saved by great strength.

17 I nútil para salvarse es el caballo; La grandeza de su vigor a nadie podrá librar.

A horse cannot be trusted to win a battle. Its great strength cannot save anyone.

18 H e aquí el ojo de Jehová está sobre los que le temen, Sobre los que esperan en su misericordia,

See, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, and on those who hope for His loving-kindness,

19 P ara librar sus almas de la muerte, Y para sostenerles la vida en tiempo de hambre.

to save their soul from death, and to keep them alive when there is nothing to eat.

20 N uestra alma espera en Jehová; Nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo es él.

Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our safe cover.

21 P ues en él se alegrará nuestro corazón, Porque en su santo nombre hemos confiado.

For our heart is full of joy in Him, because we trust in His holy name.

22 S ea tu misericordia, oh Jehová, sobre nosotros, Según esperamos en ti.

O Lord, let Your loving-kindness be upon us as we put our hope in You.
