1 E arly in the morning on the first day of the week, the women went to the grave taking the spices they had made ready.
No primeiro dia da semana, de manhã bem cedo, as mulheres levaram ao sepulcro as especiarias aromáticas que haviam preparado.
2 T hey found the stone had been pushed away from the grave.
Encontraram removida a pedra do sepulcro,
3 T hey went in but they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
mas, quando entraram, não encontraram o corpo do Senhor Jesus.
4 W hile they wondered about what had happened, they saw two men standing by them in shining clothes.
Ficaram perplexas, sem saber o que fazer. De repente, dois homens com roupas que brilhavam como a luz do sol colocaram-se ao lado delas.
5 T hey were very much afraid and got down with their faces to the ground. The men said to them, “Why do you look for the living One among those who are dead?
Amedrontadas, as mulheres baixaram o rosto para o chão, e os homens lhes disseram: “Por que vocês estão procurando entre os mortos aquele que vive?
6 H e is not here. He is risen. Do you not remember what He said to you when He was yet in Galilee?
Ele não está aqui! Ressuscitou! Lembrem-se do que ele lhes disse, quando ainda estava com vocês na Galiléia:
7 H e said, ‘The Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men. He must be nailed to a cross. He will rise again three days later.’”
‘É necessário que o Filho do homem seja entregue nas mãos de homens pecadores, seja crucificado e ressuscite no terceiro dia’”.
8 T hey remembered what He had said.
Então se lembraram das palavras de Jesus.
9 W hen they came back from the grave, they told all these things to the eleven followers and to all the others.
Quando voltaram do sepulcro, elas contaram todas estas coisas aos Onze e a todos os outros.
10 T hey were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James. Other women who were with them told these things to the followers also.
As que contaram estas coisas aos apóstolos foram Maria Madalena, Joana e Maria, mãe de Tiago, e as outras que estavam com elas.
11 T heir words sounded like foolish talk. The followers did not believe them.
Mas eles não acreditaram nas mulheres; as palavras delas lhes pareciam loucura.
12 B ut Peter got up and ran to the grave. He got down to look in and saw only the linen clothes. Then he went away, surprised about what had happened. The Followers of Jesus Do Not Believe He Is Risen

13 T hat same day two of His followers were going to the town of Emmaus. It was about a two-hour walk from Jerusalem.
Naquele mesmo dia, dois deles estavam indo para um povoado chamado Emaús, a onze quilômetrosb de Jerusalém.
14 T hey talked of all these things that had happened.
No caminho, conversavam a respeito de tudo o que havia acontecido.
15 W hile they were talking together, Jesus Himself came and walked along with them.
Enquanto conversavam e discutiam, o próprio Jesus se aproximou e começou a caminhar com eles;
16 S omething kept their eyes from seeing Who He was.
mas os olhos deles foram impedidos de reconhecê-lo.
17 H e said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk?” They stood still and looked sad.
Ele lhes perguntou: “Sobre o que vocês estão discutindo enquanto caminham?” Eles pararam, com os rostos entristecidos.
18 O ne of them, whose name was Cleopas, said to Him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who has not heard of the things that have happened here these days?”
Um deles, chamado Cleopas, perguntou-lhe: “Você é o único visitante em Jerusalém que não sabe das coisas que ali aconteceram nestes dias?”
19 J esus said to them, “What things?” They answered, “The things about Jesus of Nazareth. He was the great One Who spoke for God. He did powerful works and spoke powerful words in the sight of God and the people.
“Que coisas?”, perguntou ele. “O que aconteceu com Jesus de Nazaré”, responderam eles. “Ele era um profeta, poderoso em palavras e em obras diante de Deus e de todo o povo.
20 A nd the religious leaders and the leaders of the people gave Him over to be killed and nailed Him to a cross.
Os chefes dos sacerdotes e as nossas autoridades o entregaram para ser condenado à morte, e o crucificaram;
21 W e were hoping He was the One Who was going to make the Jewish people free. But it was three days ago when these things happened.
e nós esperávamos que era ele que ia trazer a redenção a Israel. E hoje é o terceiro dia desde que tudo isso aconteceu.
22 “ Some of the women of our group have surprised us and made us wonder. They went to the grave early this morning.
Algumas das mulheres entre nós nos deram um susto hoje. Foram de manhã bem cedo ao sepulcro
23 T hey did not find His body. They came back saying they had seen angels in a special dream who said that He was alive.
e não acharam o corpo dele. Voltaram e nos contaram ter tido uma visão de anjos, que disseram que ele está vivo.
24 S ome of those who were with us went to the grave and found it as the women had said. But they did not see Him.”
Alguns dos nossos companheiros foram ao sepulcro e encontraram tudo exatamente como as mulheres tinham dito, mas não o viram.”
25 T hen Jesus said to them, “You foolish men. How slow you are to believe what the early preachers have said.
Ele lhes disse: “Como vocês custam a entender e como demoram a crer em tudo o que os profetas falaram!
26 D id not Christ have to go through these hard things to come into His shining-greatness?”
Não devia o Cristo sofrer estas coisas, para entrar na sua glória?”
27 J esus kept on telling them what Moses and all the early preachers had said about Him in the Holy Writings.
E começando por Moisés e todos os profetas, explicou-lhes o que constava a respeito dele em todas as Escrituras.
28 W hen they came to the town where they were going, Jesus acted as if He were going farther.
Ao se aproximarem do povoado para o qual estavam indo, Jesus fez como quem ia mais adiante.
29 B ut they said to Him, “Stay with us. It will soon be evening. The day is about over.” He went in to stay with them.
Mas eles insistiram muito com ele: “Fique conosco, pois a noite já vem; o dia já está quase findando”. Então, ele entrou para ficar com eles.
30 A s He sat at the table with them, He took the bread and gave thanks and broke it. Then He gave it to them.
Quando estava à mesa com eles, tomou o pão, deu graças, partiu-o e o deu a eles.
31 A nd their eyes were opened and they knew Him. Then He left them and could not be seen.
Então os olhos deles foram abertos e o reconheceram, e ele desapareceu da vista deles.
32 T hey said to each other, “Were not our hearts filled with joy when He talked to us on the road about what the Holy Writings said?”
Perguntaram-se um ao outro: “Não estava queimando o nosso coração, enquanto ele nos falava no caminho e nos expunha as Escrituras?”
33 T hen they got up at once and went back to Jerusalem. They found the eleven followers together and others with them.
Levantaram-se e voltaram imediatamente para Jerusalém. Ali encontraram os Onze e os que estavam com eles reunidos,
34 T hey said, “For sure the Lord is risen and was seen by Simon.”
que diziam: “É verdade! O Senhor ressuscitou e apareceu a Simão!”
35 T hen they told what had happened on the road and how they came to know Him when He broke the bread. Jesus Is Seen by the Other Ten Followers
Então os dois contaram o que tinha acontecido no caminho, e como Jesus fora reconhecido por eles quando partia o pão. Jesus Aparece aos Discípulos
36 A s they talked, Jesus Himself stood among them. He said, “May you have peace.”
Enquanto falavam sobre isso, o próprio Jesus apresentou-se entre eles e lhes disse: “Paz seja com vocês!”
37 B ut they were afraid and full of fear. They thought they saw a spirit.
Eles ficaram assustados e com medo, pensando que estavam vendo um espírito.
38 J esus said to them, “Why are you afraid? Why do you have doubts in your hearts?
Ele lhes disse: “Por que vocês estão perturbados e por que se levantam dúvidas no coração de vocês?
39 L ook at My hands and My feet. See! It is I, Myself! Touch Me and see for yourself. A spirit does not have flesh and bones as I have.”
Vejam as minhas mãos e os meus pés. Sou eu mesmo! Toquem-me e vejam; um espírito não tem carne nem ossos, como vocês estão vendo que eu tenho”.
40 W hen Jesus had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.
Tendo dito isso, mostrou-lhes as mãos e os pés.
41 T hey still wondered. It was hard for them to believe it and yet it made them happy. Then He said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
E por não crerem ainda, tão cheios estavam de alegria e de espanto, ele lhes perguntou: “Vocês têm aqui algo para comer?”
42 T hey gave Jesus a piece of fish that had been cooked and some honey.
Deram-lhe um pedaço de peixe assado,
43 H e took it and ate it in front of them. Jesus Sends His Followers to Teach
e ele o comeu na presença deles.
44 J esus said to them, “These are the things I told you while I was yet with you. All things written about Me in the Law of Moses and in the Books of the early preachers and in the Psalms must happen as they said they would happen.”
E disse-lhes: “Foi isso que eu lhes falei enquanto ainda estava com vocês: Era necessário que se cumprisse tudo o que a meu respeito está escrito na Lei de Moisés, nos Profetas e nos Salmos”.
45 T hen He opened their minds to understand the Holy Writings.
Então lhes abriu o entendimento, para que pudessem compreender as Escrituras.
46 H e said to them, “It is written that Christ should suffer and be raised from the dead after three days.
E lhes disse: “Está escrito que o Cristo haveria de sofrer e ressuscitar dos mortos no terceiro dia,
47 I t must be preached that men must be sorry for their sins and turn from them. Then they will be forgiven. This must be preached in His name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem.
e que em seu nome seria pregado o arrependimento para perdão de pecados a todas as nações, começando por Jerusalém.
48 Y ou are to tell what you have seen.
Vocês são testemunhas destas coisas.
49 S ee! I will send you what My Father promised. But you are to stay in Jerusalem until you have received power from above.” Jesus Goes to Be Beside His Father

50 J esus led them out as far as Bethany. Then He lifted up His hands and prayed that good would come to them.
Tendo-os levado até as proximidades de Betânia, Jesus ergueu as mãos e os abençoou.
51 A nd while He was praying that good would come to them, He went from them (and was taken up to heaven and
Estando ainda a abençoá-los, ele os deixou e foi elevado ao céu.
52 t hey worshiped Him). Then they went back to Jerusalem with great joy.
Então eles o adoraram e voltaram para Jerusalém com grande alegria.
53 T hey spent all their time in the house of God honoring and giving thanks to God.
E permaneciam constantemente no templo, louvando a Deus.
