Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah

9 O s homens de origem humilde não passam de um sopro, os de origem importante não passam de mentira; pesados na balança, juntos não chegam ao peso de um sopro.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.

10 N ão confiem na extorsão, nem ponham a esperança em bens roubados; se as suas riquezas aumentam, não ponham nelas o coração.

Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart thereon.

11 U ma vez Deus falou, duas vezes eu ouvi, que o poder pertence a Deus.

God hath spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongeth unto God.

12 C ontigo também, Senhor, está a fidelidade. É certo que retribuirás a cada um conforme o seu procedimento.

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth lovingkindness; For thou renderest to every man according to his work.
