1 L evanto os meus olhos para os montes e pergunto: De onde me vem o socorro?

I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?

2 O meu socorro vem do Senhor, que fez os céus e a terra.

My help cometh from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.

3 E le não permitirá que você tropece; o seu protetor se manterá alerta,

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 s im, o protetor de Israel não dormirá; ele está sempre alerta!

Behold, he that keepeth Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 O Senhor é o seu protetor; como sombra que o protege, ele está à sua direita.

Jehovah is thy keeper: Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 D e dia o sol não o ferirá, nem a lua, de noite.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night.

7 O Senhor o protegerá de todo o mal, protegerá a sua vida.

Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; He will keep thy soul.

8 O Senhor protegerá a sua saída e a sua chegada, desde agora e para sempre.

Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth and for evermore.
