1 J esus disse aos seus discípulos: “É inevitável que aconteçam coisas que levem o povo a tropeçar, mas ai da pessoa por meio de quem elas acontecem.

And he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come; but woe unto him, through whom they come!

2 S eria melhor que ela fosse lançada no mar com uma pedra de moinho amarrada no pescoço, do que levar um desses pequeninos a pecar.

It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

3 T omem cuidado. “Se o seu irmão pecar, repreenda-o e, se ele se arrepender, perdoe-lhe.

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4 S e pecar contra você sete vezes no dia, e sete vezes voltar a você e disser: ‘Estou arrependido’, perdoe-lhe”.

And if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

5 O s apóstolos disseram ao Senhor: “Aumenta a nossa fé!”

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

6 E le respondeu: “Se vocês tiverem fé do tamanho de uma semente de mostarda, poderão dizer a esta amoreira: ‘Arranque-se e plante-se no mar’, e ela lhes obedecerá.

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.

7 “ Qual de vocês que, tendo um servo que esteja arando ou cuidando das ovelhas, lhe dirá, quando ele chegar do campo: ‘Venha agora e sente-se para comer’?

But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat;

8 A o contrário, não dirá: ‘Prepare o meu jantar, apronte-se e sirva-me enquanto como e bebo; depois disso você pode comer e beber’?

and will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9 S erá que ele agradecerá ao servo por ter feito o que lhe foi ordenado?

Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded?

10 A ssim também vocês, quando tiverem feito tudo o que lhes for ordenado, devem dizer: ‘Somos servos inúteis; apenas cumprimos o nosso dever’”. Dez Leprosos São Curados

Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.

11 A caminho de Jerusalém, Jesus passou pela divisa entre Samaria e Galiléia.

And it came to pass, as they were on their way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

12 A o entrar num povoado, dez leprosos dirigiram-se a ele. Ficaram a certa distância

And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off:

13 e gritaram em alta voz: “Jesus, Mestre, tem piedade de nós!”

and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 A o vê-los, ele disse: “Vão mostrar-se aos sacerdotes”. Enquanto eles iam, foram purificados.

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 U m deles, quando viu que estava curado, voltou, louvando a Deus em alta voz.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God;

16 P rostrou-se aos pés de Jesus e lhe agradeceu. Este era samaritano.

and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 J esus perguntou: “Não foram purificados todos os dez? Onde estão os outros nove?

And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 N ão se achou nenhum que voltasse e desse louvor a Deus, a não ser este estrangeiro?”

Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger?

19 E ntão ele lhe disse: “Levante-se e vá; a sua fé o salvou ”. A Vinda do Reino de Deus

And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

20 C erta vez, tendo sido interrogado pelos fariseus sobre quando viria o Reino de Deus, Jesus respondeu: “O Reino de Deus não vem de modo visível,

And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 n em se dirá: ‘Aqui está ele’, ou ‘Lá está’; porque o Reino de Deus está entre vocês”.

neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 D epois disse aos seus discípulos: “Chegará o tempo em que vocês desejarão ver um dos dias do Filho do homem, mas não verão.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

23 D irão a vocês: ‘Lá está ele!’ ou ‘Aqui está!’ Não se apressem em segui-los.

And they shall say to you, Lo, there! Lo, here! go not away, nor follow after them:

24 P ois o Filho do homem no seu dia será como o relâmpago cujo brilho vai de uma extremidade à outra do céu.

for as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day.

25 M as antes é necessário que ele sofra muito e seja rejeitado por esta geração.

But first must he suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.

26 “ Assim como foi nos dias de Noé, também será nos dias do Filho do homem.

And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 O povo vivia comendo, bebendo, casando-se e sendo dado em casamento, até o dia em que Noé entrou na arca. Então veio o Dilúvio e os destruiu a todos.

They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 “ Aconteceu a mesma coisa nos dias de Ló. O povo estava comendo e bebendo, comprando e vendendo, plantando e construindo.

Likewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 M as no dia em que Ló saiu de Sodoma, choveu fogo e enxofre do céu e os destruiu a todos.

but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:

30 “ Acontecerá exatamente assim no dia em que o Filho do homem for revelado.

after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.

31 N aquele dia, quem estiver no telhado de sua casa, não deve descer para apanhar os seus bens dentro de casa. Semelhantemente, quem estiver no campo, não deve voltar atrás por coisa alguma.

In that day, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field likewise not return back.

32 L embrem-se da mulher de Ló!

Remember Lot's wife.

33 Q uem tentar conservar a sua vida a perderá, e quem perder a sua vida a preservará.

Whosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 E u lhes digo: Naquela noite duas pessoas estarão numa cama; uma será tirada e a outra deixada.

I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 D uas mulheres estarão moendo trigo juntas; uma será tirada e a outra deixada.

There shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

36 D uas pessoas estarão no campo; uma será tirada e a outra deixada ”.

There shall be two men in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

37 “ Onde, Senhor?”, perguntaram eles. Ele respondeu: “Onde houver um cadáver, ali se ajuntarão os abutres”.

And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.
