1 I n thee, Jehovah, do I trust: let me never be ashamed.

Em ti, Senhor, me refugio; nunca seja eu confundido.

2 D eliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me; incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

Na tua justiça socorre-me e livra-me; inclina os teus ouvidos para mim, e salva-me.

3 B e to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Sê tu para mim uma rocha de refúgio a que sempre me acolha; deste ordem para que eu seja salvo, pois tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza.

4 M y God, rescue me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

Livra-me, Deus meu, da mão do ímpio, do poder do homem injusto e cruel,

5 F or thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my confidence from my youth.

Pois tu és a minha esperança, Senhor Deus; tu és a minha confiança desde a minha mocidade.

6 O n thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee.

Em ti me tenho apoiado desde que nasci; tu és aquele que me tiraste das entranhas de minha mãe. O meu louvor será teu constantemente.

7 I have been as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

Sou para muitos um assombro, mas tu és o meu refúgio forte.

8 M y mouth shall be filled with thy praise, with thy glory, all the day.

A minha boca se enche do teu louvor e da tua glória continuamente.

9 C ast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Não me enjeites no tempo da velhice; não me desampares, quando se forem acabando as minhas forças.

10 F or mine enemies speak against me, and they that watch for my soul consult together,

Porque os meus inimigos falam de mim, e os que espreitam a minha vida consultam juntos,

11 S aying, God hath forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver.

dizendo: Deus o desamparou; persegui-o e prendei-o, pois não há quem o livre.

12 O God, be not far from me; my God, hasten to my help.

Ó Deus, não te alongues de mim; meu Deus, apressa-te em socorrer-me.

13 L et them be ashamed, let them be consumed, that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

Sejam envergonhados e consumidos os meus adversários; cubram-se de opróbrio e de confusão aqueles que procuram o meu mal.

14 B ut as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more.

Mas eu esperarei continuamente, e te louvarei cada vez mais.

15 M y mouth shall declare thy righteousness, thy salvation all the day: for I know not the numbers.

A minha boca falará da tua justiça e da tua salvação todo o dia, posto que não conheça a sua grandeza.

16 I will go in the might of the Lord Jehovah; I will recall thy righteousness, thine alone.

Virei na força do Senhor Deus; farei menção da tua justiça, da tua tão somente.

17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I proclaimed thy marvellous works:

Ensinaste-me, ó Deus, desde a minha mocidade; e até aqui tenho anunciado as tuas maravilhas.

18 N ow also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto generation, thy might to every one that is to come.

Agora, quando estou velho e de cabelos brancos, não me desampares, ó Deus, até que tenha anunciado a tua força a esta geração, e o teu poder a todos os vindouros.

19 A nd thy righteousness, O God, reacheth on high, thou who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee?

A tua justiça, ó Deus, atinge os altos céus; tu tens feito grandes coisas; ó Deus, quem é semelhante a ti?

20 T hou, who hast shewn us many and sore troubles, wilt revive us again, and wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth;

Tu, que me fizeste ver muitas e penosas tribulações, de novo me restituirás a vida, e de novo me tirarás dos abismos da terra.

21 T hou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Aumentarás a minha grandeza, e de novo me consolarás.

22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, my God; unto thee will I sing psalms with the harp, thou holy One of Israel.

Também eu te louvarei ao som do saltério, pela tua fidelidade, ó meu Deus; cantar-te-ei ao som da harpa, ó Santo de Israel.

23 M y lips shall exult when I sing psalms unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

Os meus lábios exultarão quando eu cantar os teus louvores, assim como a minha alma, que tu remiste.

24 M y tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day; for they shall be ashamed, for they shall be brought to confusion, that seek my hurt.

Também a minha língua falará da tua justiça o dia todo; pois estão envergonhados e confundidos aqueles que procuram o meu mal.
