1 J ehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth cherubim: let the earth be moved.

O Senhor reina, tremam os povos; ele está entronizado sobre os querubins, estremeça a terra.

2 J ehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples.

O Senhor é grande em Sião, e exaltado acima de todos os povos.

3 T hey shall praise thy great and terrible name,—it is holy!—

Louvem o teu nome, grande e tremendo; pois é santo.

4 A nd the strength of the king that loveth justice. Thou hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

És Rei poderoso que amas a justiça; estabeleces a eqüidade, executas juízo e justiça em Jacó.

5 E xalt Jehovah our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy!

Exaltai o Senhor nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos diante do escabelo de seus pés; porque ele é santo.

6 M oses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name: they called unto Jehovah, and he answered them.

Moisés e Arão entre os seus sacerdotes, e Samuel entre os que invocavam o seu nome, clamavam ao Senhor, e ele os ouvia.

7 H e spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud: they kept his testimonies, and the statute that he gave them.

Na coluna de nuvem lhes falava; eles guardavam os seus testemunhos, e os estatutos que lhes dera.

8 J ehovah, our God, thou answeredst them: a forgiving God wast thou unto them, though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

Tu os ouviste, Senhor nosso Deus; tu foste para eles um Deus perdoador, embora vingador dos seus atos.

9 E xalt Jehovah our God, and worship at the hill of his holiness; for holy is Jehovah our God.

Exaltai o Senhor nosso Deus e adorai-o no seu santo monte, porque o Senhor nosso Deus é santo.
