1 A nd Joshua was old, advanced in age, and Jehovah said to him, Thou art old, advanced in age, and there remaineth yet very much land to take possession of.

Era Josué já velho e avançado em anos, quando lhe disse o Senhor: Já estás velho e avançado em anos, e ainda fica muitíssima terra para se possuir.

2 T his is the land that yet remaineth: all the districts of the Philistines and all the Geshurites,

A terra que ainda fica é esta: todas as regiões dos filisteus, bem como todas as dos gesureus,

3 f rom the Shihor, which before Egypt, as far as the borders of Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanite; five lordships of the Philistines: of Gazah, and of Ashdod, of Eshkalon, of Gath, and of Ekron; also the Avvites;

desde Sior, que está defronte do Egito, até o termo de Ecrom para o norte, que se tem como pertencente aos cananeus; os cinco chefes dos filisteus; o gazeu, o asdodeu, o asqueloneu, o giteu, e o ecroneu; também os aveus;

4 i n the south, the whole land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;

no sul toda a terra, dos cananeus, e Meara, que pertence aos sidônios, até Afeca, até o termo dos amorreus;

5 a nd the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad at the foot of mount Hermon to the entrance into Hamath;

como também a terra dos Gebalitas, e todo o Líbano para o nascente do sol, desde Baal-Gade, ao pé do monte Hermom, até a entrada de Hamate;

6 a ll the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, all the Sidonians; I will dispossess them from before the children of Israel. Only, partition it by lot to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

todos os habitantes da região montanhosa desde o Líbano até Misrefote-Maim, a saber, todos os sidônios. Eu os lançarei de diante dos filhos de Israel; tão-somente reparte a terra a Israel por herança, como já te mandei.

7 A nd now divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and to half the tribe of Manasseh;

Reparte, pois, agora esta terra por herança

8 w ith him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them:

Com a outra meia tribo os rubenitas e os gaditas já haviam recebido a sua herança do Jordão para o oriente, a qual Moisés, servo do Senhor, lhes tinha dado:

9 f rom Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau of Medeba to Dibon,

desde Aroer, que está ã borda do vale do Arnom, e a cidade que está no meio do vale, e todo o planalto de Medeba até Dibom;

10 a nd all the cities of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon;

e todas as cidades de Siom, rei dos amorreus, que reinou em Hesbom, até o termo dos amonitas;

11 a nd Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and the whole of Bashan to Salcah;

e Gileade, e o território dos gesureus e dos maacateus, e todo o monte Hermom, e toda a Basã até Salca;

12 a ll the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, who remained of the residue of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them.

todo o reino de Ogue em Basã, que reinou em Astarote e em Edrei (ele era dos refains que ficaram); pois que Moisés os feriu e expulsou.

13 B ut the children of Israel did not dispossess the Geshurites nor the Maachathites; but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites to this day.

Contudo os filhos de Israel não expulsaram os gesureus nem os maacateus, os quais ficaram habitando no meio de Israel até o dia de hoje.

14 O nly to the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the offerings by fire of Jehovah the God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to them.

Tão-somente ã tribo de Levi não deu herança; as ofertas queimadas ao Senhor, Deus de Israel, são a sua herança, como lhe tinha dito.

Assim Moisés deu herança ã tribo dos filhos de Rúben conforme as suas famílias.

16 A nd their territory was from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau by Medeba;

E foi o seu território desde Aroer, que está ã borda do vale do Amom, e a cidade que está no meio do vale, e todo o planalto junto a Medeba;

17 H eshbon, and all her cities that are in the plateau, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-meon,

Hesbom, e todas as suas cidades que estão no planalto; Dibom, Bamote-Baal e Bete-Baal-Meom;

18 A nd Jahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

Jaza, Qa espada até serem consumidos, então todo o Israel

19 a nd Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar in the mountain of the vale,

Quiriataim, Sibma e Zerete-Saar, no monte do vale;

20 a nd Beth-Peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;

Bete-Peor, as faldas de Pisga e Bete-Jesimote;

21 a ll the cities of the plateau, and the whole kingdom of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses smote, him and the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the chiefs of Sihon dwelling in the land.

todas as cidades do planalto, e todo o reino de Siom, rei dos amorreus, que reinou em Hesbom, a quem Moisés feriu juntamente com os príncipes de Midiã: Evi, Requem, Zur, Hur e Reba, príncipes de Siom, que moravam naquela terra.

22 A nd Balaam the son of Beor, the diviner, did the children of Israel kill with the sword among them that were slain by them.

Também ao adivinho Balaão, filho de Beor, os filhos de Israel mataram ã espada, juntamente com os demais que por eles foram mortos.

23 A nd the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and border. This is the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

E ficou sendo o Jordão o termo dos filhos de Rúben. Essa região, com as suas cidades e aldeias, foi a herança dos filhos de Rúben, segundo as suas famílias.

24 A nd Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad according to their families.

Também deu Moisés herança ã tribo de Gade, aos filhos de Gade, segundo as suas famílias.

25 A nd their territory was Jaazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer which is before Rabbah;

E foi o seu território Jazer, e todas as cidades de Gileade, e metade da terra dos amonitas, até Aroer, que está defronte de Rabá;

26 a nd from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;

e desde Hesbom até Ramá-Mizpe, e Betonim, e desde Maanaim até o termo de Debir;

27 a nd in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon the king of Heshbon, the Jordan and border, as far as the edge of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

e no vale, Bete-Arã, Bete-Ninra, Sucote e Zafom, resto do reino de Siom, rei de Hesbom, tendo o Jordão por termo, até a extremidade do mar de Quinerete, do Jordão para o oriente.

28 T his is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

Essa região, com as suas cidades e aldeias, foi a herança dos filhos da Gade, segundo as suas famílias.

29 A nd Moses gave to half the tribe of Manasseh; and for half the tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families:

Também deu Moisés herança ã meia tribo de Manassés; a qual foi repartida ã meia tribo dos filhos de Manassés segundo as suas famílias.

30 t heir territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.

Foi o seu território desde Maanaim; toda a Basã, todo o reino de Ogue, rei de Basã, e todas as aldeias de Jair, que estão em Basã, sessenta ao todo;

31 A nd half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, to the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, to the one half of the children of Machir according to their families.

e metade de Gileade, e Astarote, e Edrei, cidades do reino de Ogue, em Basã, foram para os filhos de Maquir, filho de Manassés, isto é, para a metade dos filhos de Maquir, segundo as suas famílias.

32 T his is that which Moses allotted for inheritance in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan of Jericho, eastward.

Isso é o que Moisés repartiu em herança nas planícies de Moabe, do Jordão para o oriente, na altura de Jericó.

33 B ut to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance: Jehovah the God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said to them.

Contudo, ã tribo de Levi Moisés não deu herança; o Senhor, Deus de Israel, é a sua herança, como lhe tinha dito.
