1 A t that time Herod the governor heard the reports about Jesus,

Waagaas taliye Herodos ayaa warkii Ciise maqlay,

2 A nd he said to his attendants, This is John the Baptist; He has been raised from the dead, and that is why the powers of performing miracles are at work in Him.

oo wuxuu midiidinyadiisii ku yidhi, Kanu waa Yooxanaa Baabtiisaha. Kuwii dhintay ayuu ka soo sara kacay, sidaa darteed shuqulladan xoogga leh waa ku dhex jiraan oo shaqaynayaan.

3 F or Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison '> stow him out of the way] on account and for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,

Waayo, Herodos baa Yooxanaa qabtay oo intuu xidhay ayuu u xabbisay, walaalkiis Filibos naagtiisii Herodiya aawadeed.

4 F or John had said to him, It is not lawful or right for you to have her.

Waayo, Yooxanaa wuxuu ku yidhi, Xalaal kuuma aha inaad haysatid,

5 A lthough he wished to have him put to death, he was afraid of the people, for they regarded John as a prophet.

oo goortuu doonay inuu dilo, dadkii badnaa ayuu ka baqay, maxaa yeelay, waxay u haysteen sidii nebi oo kale.

6 B ut when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst and pleased and fascinated Herod,

Goortii maalintii la xusuustay dhalashadii Herodos timid, gabadhii Herodiya ayaa dadkii dhexdiisa ku cayaartay, oo Herodos ayay ka farxisay.

7 A nd so he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask.

Kolkaasuu dhaar ku ballanqaaday inuu siiyo wixii ay weyddiisatoba.

8 A nd she, being put forward and prompted by her mother, said, Give me the head of John the Baptist right here on a platter.

Iyadoo hooyadeed hore ula soo talisay ayay tidhi, Halkan xeedho igu soo sii madaxa Yooxanaa Baabtiisaha.

9 A nd the king was distressed and sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests, he ordered it to be given her;

Boqorkii waa calool xumaaday, laakiin dhaarihiisii iyo kuwii la fadhiyey aawadood ayuu ku amray in la siiyo.

10 H e sent and had John beheaded in the prison.

Markaasuu cid diray oo Yooxanaa xabsigaa madaxa lagaga gooyay.

11 A nd his head was brought in on a platter and given to the little maid, and she brought it to her mother.

Madaxiisiina waxaa lagu keenay xeedho, oo gabadhii la siiyey, iyaduna hooyadeed bay u keentay.

12 A nd John’s disciples came and took up the body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus.

Markaasaa xertiisii timid, oo meydkiisay qaadeen oo aaseen, kolkaasay tageen oo Ciise u warrameen. Waxaa Cunto La Siiyey Shan Kun Oo Nin

13 W hen Jesus heard it, He withdrew from there privately in a boat to a solitary place. But when the crowds heard of it, they followed Him on foot from the towns.

Ciise goortuu taas maqlay, ayuu halkaas doonni kaga soo noqday, oo meel cidla ah ayuu keligiis tegey. Dadkii badnaana goortay warkaas maqleen, ayay magaalooyinka lug kaga soo raaceen.

14 W hen He went ashore and saw a great throng of people, He had compassion (pity and deep sympathy) for them and cured their sick.

Goortuu degay ayuu dad badan arkay, wuuna u naxariistay, oo kuwoodii bukay ayuu bogsiiyey.

15 W hen evening came, the disciples came to Him and said, This is a remote and barren place, and the day is now over; send the throngs away into the villages to buy food for themselves.

Goortii makhribkii la gaadhay ayaa xertiisii u timid oo ku tidhi, Meeshu waa cidlo, wakhtigiina waa dhammaaday, haddaba dadka dir si ay tuulooyinka u tagaan oo cunto u soo iibsadaan.

16 J esus said, They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat.

Laakiin Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Uma ay baahna inay tagaan, idinku siiya waxay cunaan.

17 T hey said to Him, We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish.

Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Halkan waxba kuma hayno shan kibsood iyo laba kalluun maahee.

18 H e said, Bring them here to Me.

Markaasuu wuxuu ku yidhi, Halkan iigu keena.

19 T hen He ordered the crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

Kolkaasuu dadkii badnaa ku amray inay cawska ku fadhiistaan. Isaguna wuxuu qaaday shantii kibsood iyo labadii kalluun, oo intuu cirka eegay ayuu barakeeyey oo kibistii kala jejebiyey oo xertiisii siiyey, xertiina dadkii badnaa bay siiyeen.

20 A nd they all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve '> small hand] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

Dhammaantood way wada cuneen oo ka dhergeen, oo waxay soo gureen jajabkii hadhay oo laba iyo toban dambiilood ka buuxa.

21 A nd those who ate were about 5, 000 men, not including women and children.

Kuwii cunayna waxay ku dhowaayeen shan kun oo nin oo aan naagaha iyo carruurtu ku jirin. Ciise Baa Badda Ku Dul Socday

22 T hen He directed the disciples to get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent away the crowds.

Kolkiiba wuxuu xertiisii ku amray inay doonnida fuulaan oo ay hortiis tagaan dhanka kale, intuu dadkii badnaa dirayo.

23 A nd after He had dismissed the multitudes, He went up into the hills by Himself to pray. When it was evening, He was still there alone.

Goortuu dadkii badnaa diray ayuu keligiis buurta fuulay inuu ku tukado, oo goortii makhribka la gaadhay keli ahaantiis ayuu halkaas joogay.

24 B ut the boat was by this time out on the sea, many furlongs distant from the land, beaten and tossed by the waves, for the wind was against them.

Doonniduse durba wax badan ayay dhulka ka fogaatay oo hirarku waa dhibeen, waayo, dabaysha ayaa ka gees ahayd.

25 A nd in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.

Wakhtiga gaadhkii afraad oo habeenka ayuu u yimid isagoo badda ku dul socda.

26 A nd when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified and said, It is a ghost! And they screamed out with fright.

Oo xertiisii goortay arkeen isagoo badda ku dul socda, way nexeen oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Waa muuqasho, oo baqdin bay la qayliyeen.

27 B ut instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I Am! Stop being afraid!

Markiiba Ciise waa la hadlay oo ku yidhi, Kalsoonaada, waa aniga ee ha baqina.

28 A nd Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.

Markaasaa Butros u jawaabay oo ku yidhi, Sayidow, haddaad tahay adiga, igu amar inaan biyaha kuugu dul imaado.

29 H e said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.

Wuxuu ku yidhi, Kaalay. Oo Butros markuu doonnida ka degay ayuu biyaha ku dul socday inuu Ciise u tago.

30 B ut when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me!

Laakiin goortuu dabayshii arkay ayuu baqay, oo markuu bilaabay inuu dego ayuu qayliyey oo ku yidhi, Sayidow, i badbaadi,

31 I nstantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?

oo markiiba Ciise gacantiisuu u taagay oo qabtay oo ku yidhi, Rumaysadyare yahow, maxaad u shakiday?

32 A nd when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

Oo markay doonnida fuuleen, dabayshu waa joogsatay.

33 A nd those in the boat knelt and worshiped Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God!

Kuwii doonnida ku jirayna way caabudeen isaga, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Runtii, waxaad tahay Wiilka Ilaah. Bogsiintii Dadkii Gennesared Joogay

34 A nd when they had crossed over to the other side, they went ashore at Gennesaret.

Oo markay gudbeen waxay yimaadeen dalka Gennesared.

35 A nd when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent around into all the surrounding country and brought to Him all who were sick

Oo nimankii halkaas degganaa goortay garteen isaga, waxay cid u direen dalkaas ku wareegsan oo dhan, oo waxay u keeneen kuwa buka oo dhan,

36 A nd begged Him to let them merely touch the fringe of His garment; and as many as touched it were perfectly restored.

oo waxay ka baryeen inay faraqa maradiisa keliya taabtaan, oo kuwii taabtayna way bogsadeen.
