1 T he words or story of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah: Now in the month of Chislev in the twentieth year, as I was in the castle of Shushan,

Kanu waa hadalkii Nexemyaah oo ahaa ina Xakalyaah. Hadda intaan joogay Shuushan oo ah hoygii boqorka, sannaddii labaatanaad bisheedii Kislee'u,

2 H anani, one of my kinsmen, came with certain men from Judah, and I asked them about the surviving Jews who had escaped exile, and about Jerusalem.

waxaa yimid Xanaanii oo walaalahayga midkood ahaa, isaga iyo niman kale oo dalka Yahuudah ka yimid; oo markaasaan weyddiiyey wax ku saabsan Yuhuuddii baxsatay, oo maxaabiistii ka hadhay, iyo wax ku saabsan Yeruusaalem.

3 A nd they said to me, The remnant there in the province who escaped exile are in great trouble and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.

Oo iyana waxay igu yidhaahdeen, Kuwii maxaabiista ka hadhay oo gobolkii jira waxay ku jiraan dhibaato weyn iyo ceeb; oo derbigii Yeruusaalemna waa la dumiyey, oo irdaheediina dab baa lagu gubay.

4 W hen I heard this, I sat down and wept and mourned for days and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,

Oo markaan erayadaas maqlay ayaan meel fadhiistay oo ooyay, oo intii ayaamo ah ayaan baroortay; waanan soomay, oo waxaan ku tukaday Ilaaha samada hortiisa,

5 A nd I said, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, Who keeps covenant, loving-kindness, and mercy for those who love Him and keep His commandments,

oo idhi, Rabbiyow, Ilaaha samadow, Ilaaha weyn oo laga cabsadow, oo axdiga xajiya, oo u naxariista kuwa isaga jecel oo amarradiisa xajiyow, waan ku baryayaaye,

6 L et Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to listen to the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You day and night for the Israelites, Your servants, confessing the sins of the Israelites which we have sinned against You. Yes, I and my father’s house have sinned.

Dhegahaagu ha maqleen, indhahaagana fur, inaad maqashid baryadayda anoo addoonkaaga ah. Wakhtigan habeen iyo maalinba waxaan kuu baryayaa reer binu Israa'iil oo addoommadaada ah, anigoo qiraya dembiyadii aan aniga iyo reer binu Israa'iil kugu dembaabnay; haah, aniga iyo reerka aabbahayba waannu dembaabnay.

7 W e have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the commandments, statutes, and ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.

Oo si aad u xun ayaannu kula macaamiloonnay, oo ma aannan xajin amarradii, iyo qaynuunnadii, iyo xukummadii aad ku amartay addoonkaagii Muuse ahaa.

8 R emember what You commanded Your servant Moses: If you transgress and are unfaithful, I will scatter you abroad among the nations;

Waan ku baryayaaye, bal xusuuso eraygii aad ku amartay addoonkaagii Muuse ahaa, oo aad ku tidhi, Haddaad xadgudubtaan, waxaan idinku kala dhex firdhin doonaa dadyowga,

9 B ut if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them, though your outcasts were in the farthest part of the heavens, yet will I gather them from there and will bring them to the place in which I have chosen to set My Name.

laakiinse haddaad ii soo noqotaan oo aad amarradayda xajisaan oo aad yeeshaan, in kastoo kuwiinna la tuuray ay joogaan meesha samada ugu fog, halkaasaan ka soo ururin doonaa, oo waxaan keeni doonaa meeshii aan u doortay inaan ka dhigo in magacaygu joogo.

10 N ow these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.

Haddaba kuwanu waa addoommadaada iyo dadkaaga aad ku soo furtay xooggaagii iyo gacantaadii xoogga badnayd.

11 O Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere and fear Your name (Your nature and attributes); and prosper, I pray You, Your servant this day and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was cupbearer to the king.

Sayidow, waan ku baryayaaye, hadda dhegahaagu ha maqleen baryadayda anoo addoonkaaga ah, iyo baryada addoommadaada ku farxa inay ka cabsadaan magacaaga; waan ku baryayaaye, maanta i guulee, anoo addoonkaaga ah, oo ka dhig inaan ninkan hortiisa naxariis ka helo. (Anigu waxaan ahaa koobsidaha boqorka.)
