1 G ánh nặng về Ê-díp-tô. Nầy, Đức Giê-hô-va cỡi đám mây mau kíp đến Ê-díp-tô; các thần tượng của Ê-díp-tô đều run rẩy trước mặt Ngài, lòng Ê-díp-tô sẽ tan chảy giữa nó.

The special word about Egypt: See, the Lord is traveling on a fast cloud and is coming to Egypt. The false gods of Egypt shake in fear before Him. The hearts of the Egyptians become weak.

2 T a sẽ xui người Ê-díp-tô đánh người Ê-díp-tô: anh em nghịch cùng anh em, lân cận nghịch cùng lân cận, thành nghịch cùng thành, nước nghịch cùng nước.

“I will make Egyptians go against Egyptians. Each of them will fight against his brother, and each against his neighbor. City will fight against city, and nation against nation.

3 T âm thần Ê-díp-tô sẽ lụn bại giữa nó, ta sẽ phá tan mưu chước nó. Bấy giờ chúng nó sẽ cầu hỏi các thần tượng cùng thuật sĩ, kẻ kêu hồn cùng thầy bói.

Then the spirit of the Egyptians will become weak within them. And I will bring their plans to nothing. They will go to false gods and spirits of the dead for help, and to those who speak with spirits of the dead and use their secret ways.

4 T a sẽ phó dân Ê-díp-tô trong tay chúa hung dữ, và một vua bạo ngược sẽ cai trị chúng nó; Chúa, là Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, phán vậy.

Then I will give the Egyptians into the hand of a bad ruler. An angry king will rule over them,” says the Lord God of All.

5 N ước biển sẽ tắt, sông cạn và khô.

The waters of the sea will dry up. The river will become dry.

6 C ác sông sẽ trở nên hôi thối; ngòi rạch rặc xuống và khan đi; sậy lau đều chết héo.

Manmade rivers will smell bad. The small rivers of Egypt will dry up. And the plants by the rivers will waste away.

7 C ác đồng cỏ ở bờ sông Ni-lơ cùng hết thảy đồng ruộng đã gieo của nó, đều héo khô, bị thổi đi, không còn nữa.

The grass by the side of the Nile and all that is planted by the Nile will become dry, will be driven away, and be no more.

8 N hững người đánh cá sẽ than vãn, mọi kẻ buông câu nơi sông Ni-lơ đều rên siết, và kẻ thả lưới trên các dòng nước đều âu sầu.

The fishermen will cry in sorrow. All those who fish for a living in the Nile River will be filled with sorrow. And those who put out nets on its waters will become weak.

9 N hững kẻ làm vải gai mịn và những kẻ dệt vải trắng đều xấu hổ.

Those who make linen and white cloth will be very troubled.

10 C ác trụ của Ê-díp-tô đều bị gãy, hết thảy thợ thầy đều có lòng lo.

The pillars of Egypt will be crushed. All the able workmen will be filled with sorrow.

11 C ác quan trưởng ở Xô-an rất đần độn; mưu sĩ rất khôn ngoan của Pha-ra-ôn, chỉ bày ra những kế dại khờ. Sao các ngươi nói cùng Pha-ra-ôn rằng: Tôi là con các bậc hiền triết, con các vua đời xưa?

The king’s sons of Zoan are very foolish. The words of Pharaoh’s wisest men are foolish words. How can you men say to Pharaoh, “I am a son of the wise, a son of early kings”?

12 V ậy thì các bậc hiền triết ngươi ở đâu? Các bật ấy hãy cho ngươi biết đi; các bậc ấy nên biết Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã định gì về Ê-díp-tô.

Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you. And let them understand what the Lord of All has planned against Egypt.

13 C ác quan trưởng ở Xô-an đã nên dại dột; các quan trưởng ở Nốp bị lừa dối; những người làm hòn đá góc của các chi phái Ê-díp-tô đã làm cho nó lầm lạc.

The king’s sons of Zoan have become fools. The king’s sons of Memphis have been fooled. The heads of her family groups have led Egypt from the right way.

14 Đ ức Giê-hô-va đã xen sự trái ngược vào giữa nó, nên chúng nó làm cho Ê-díp-tô sai lầm trong mọi việc, như người say vừa mửa vừa đi xiêu tó.

The Lord has mixed a troubled spirit within her. They have led Egypt the wrong way in all that it does, as a drunk man walks from side to side in what he has spit up.

15 C hẳng có việc gì mà đầu và đuôi, cây kè và cây lau sẽ làm ra được cho Ê-díp-tô cả.

And there will be no work in Egypt and nothing can be done by anyone, its head or tail, its palm branch or river-grass. Good Will Come to Egypt, Assyria and Israel

16 T rong ngày đó, người Ê-díp-tô sẽ giống như đờn bà; thấy tay Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân vung lên trên mình, thì run rẩy sợ hãi.

In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will shake with fear because of the hand which the Lord of All is going to wave over them.

17 B ấy giờ đất Giu-đa sẽ nên sự kinh hoàng cho Ê-díp-tô; hễ khi người ta xưng tên ấy ra trước mặt ai thì nấy sợ khiếp, vì ý chỉ của Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã định nghịch cùng nó.

The land of Judah will fill Egypt with fear. Whoever hears its name will be afraid of it, because of the plan which the Lord of All is making against them.

18 T rong ngày đó, tại xứ Ê-díp-tô, sẽ có năm thành nói tiếng Ca-na-an, và chỉ Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân mà thề. Trong đó có một thành gọi là thành hủy diệt.

In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of Canaan and promising to follow the Lord of All. One will be called the City of Destruction.

19 T rong ngày đó, sẽ có một bàn thờ cho Đức Giê-hô-va ở giữa xứ Ê-díp-tô, và có một trụ cho Đức Giê-hô-va nơi bờ cõi nói.

In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the center of the land of Egypt, and an altar to the Lord by the side of its land.

20 A áy là dấu và chứng cho Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân tại xứ Ê-díp-tô; bởi chưng chúng sẽ kêu đến Đức Giê-hô-va vì cứ kẻ bạo ngược, và Ngài sẽ sai một Đấng cứu và binh vực để giải thoát họ.

It will be something special to see, to make the Lord of All known in the land of Egypt. For they will cry to the Lord because of those who make it hard for them. And He will send a Powerful One to save them, and He will take them out of trouble.

21 Đ ức Giê-hô-va sẽ cho Ê-díp-tô biết Ngài; trong ngày đó người Ê-díp-tô sẽ biết Đức Giê-hô-va; ắt họ sẽ dâng hi sinh và của lễ mà thờ phượng Ngài, lại khấn nguyện cùng Đức Giê-hô-va, và hoàn nguyện.

The Lord will make Himself known to Egypt, and in that day the Egyptians will know the Lord. They will even worship with gifts on the altar. They will make promises to the Lord and keep them.

22 Đ ức Giê-hô-va sẽ đánh Ê-díp-tô, đánh rồi lại chữa lành; họ sẽ trở về cùng Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài sẽ nghe lời họ cầu nguyện và chữa lành cho.

And the Lord will punish Egypt, but then He will heal them. So they will return to the Lord, and He will answer their prayers and heal them.

23 T rong ngày đó, sẽ có con đường cái đi từ Ê-díp-tô đến A-si-ri; người A-si-ri sẽ đến Ê-díp-tô, người Ê-díp-tô sẽ đến A-si-ri; người Ê-díp-tô và người A-si-ri đều cùng nhau thờ phượng Đức Giê-hô-va.

In that day there will be a road from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt, and the Egyptians will go to Assyria. The Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

24 T rong ngày đó, Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ hiệp cùng Ê-díp-tô và A-si-ri làm ba, đặng làm nên nguồn phước giữa thiên hạ;

In that day Israel will be the third country with Egypt and Assyria, a good and respected nation on the earth,

25 v ì Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã chúc phước cho họ, mà rằng Ê-díp-tô dân ta, A-si-ri công trình của tay ta, Y-sơ-ra-ên gia tài ta, đều hãy được phước!

to whom the Lord of All has brought good, saying, “Good will come to Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My chosen people.”
