1 C ălcaţi pe urmele mele, întrucît şi eu calc pe urmele lui Hristos.

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

2 V ă laud că în toate privinţele vă aduceţi aminte de mine, şi că ţineţi învăţăturile întocmai cum vi le-am dat.

Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

3 D ar vreau să ştiţi că Hristos este Capul oricărui bărbat; că bărbatul este capul femeii, şi că Dumnezeu este capul lui Hristos.

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.

4 O rice bărbat, care se roagă sau prooroceşte cu capul acoperit, îşi necinsteşte Capul său.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

5 D impotrivă, orice femeie care se roagă sau prooroceşte cu capul desvălit, îşi necinsteşte capul ei, pentrucă este ca una care ar fi rasă.

But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.

6 D acă o femeie nu se învăleşte, să se şi tundă! Iar, dacă este ruşine pentru o femeie să fie tunsă ori rasă, să se învălească.

For if a woman is not covered, let her hair also be cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to be have her hair cut off or shaved, let her be covered.

7 B ărbatul nu este dator să-şi acopere capul, pentrucă el este chipul şi slava lui Dumnezeu, pe cînd femeia este slava bărbatului.

For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

8 Î n adevăr, nu bărbatul a fost luat din femeie, ci femeia din bărbat;

For man is not from woman, but woman from man;

9 ş i nu bărbatul a fost făcut pentru femeie, ci femeia pentru bărbat.

for man wasn’t created for the woman, but woman for the man.

10 D e aceea femeia, din pricina îngerilor, trebuie să aibă pe cap un semn al stăpînirii ei.

For this cause the woman ought to have authority on her head, because of the angels.

11 T otuş, în Domnul, femeia nu este fără bărbat, nici bărbatul fără femeie.

Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.

12 C ăci dacă femeia este din bărbat, tot aşa şi bărbatul prin femeie, şi toate sînt dela Dumnezeu.

For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.

13 J udecaţi voi singuri: este cuviincios ca o femeie să se roage lui Dumnezeu desvălită?

Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?

14 N u vă învaţă chiar şi firea că este ruşine pentru un bărbat să poarte părul lung,

Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

15 p e cînd pentru o femeie este o podoabă să poarte părul lung? Pentru că părul i -a fost dat ca învălitoare a capului.

But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.

16 D acă iubeşte cineva cearta de vorbe, noi n'avem un astfel de obicei şi nici Bisericile lui Dumnezeu.

But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.

17 V ă dau aceste învăţături, dar nu vă laud pentrucă vă adunaţi laolaltă nu ca să vă faceţi mai buni, ci ca să vă faceţi mai răi.

But in giving you this command, I don’t praise you, that you come together not for the better but for the worse.

18 M ai întîi de toate, aud că atunci cînd veniţi la adunare, între voi sînt desbinări. Şi în parte o cred,

For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.

19 c ăci trebuie să fie şi partide între voi, ca să iasă la lumină cei găsiţi buni.

For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.

20 C înd vă adunaţi dar în acelaş loc, nu este cu putinţă să mîncaţi cina Domnului.

When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.

21 F iindcă atunci cînd staţi la masă, fiecare se grăbeşte să-şi ia cina adusă de el, înaintea altuia; aşa că unul este flămînd, iar altul este beat.

For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

22 C e? N'aveţi case pentruca să mîncaţi şi să beţi acolo? Sau dispreţuiţi Biserica lui Dumnezeu, şi vreţi să faceţi de ruşine pe cei ce n'au nimic? Ce să vă zic? Să vă laud? În privinţa aceasta nu vă laud.

What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly, and put them to shame who don’t have? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

23 C ăci am primit dela Domnul ce v'am învăţat; şi anume că, Domnul Isus, în noaptea în care a fost vîndut, a luat o pîne.

For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.

24 Ş i, după ce a mulţămit lui Dumnezeu, a frînt -o, şi a zis:,, Luaţi, mîncaţi; acesta este trupul Meu, care se frînge pentru voi; să faceţi lucrul acesta spre pomenirea Mea.``

When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”

25 T ot astfel, după cină, a luat paharul, şi a zis:,, Acest pahar este legămîntul cel nou în sîngele Meu; să faceţi lucrul acesta spre pomenirea Mea, oridecîte ori veţi bea din el.``

In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”

26 P entrucă, oridecîteori mîncaţi din pînea aceasta şi beţi din paharul acesta, vestiţi moartea Domnului, pînă va veni El.

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

27 D e aceea, oricine mănîncă pînea aceasta sau bea paharul Domnului în chip nevrednic, va fi vinovat de trupul şi sîngele Domnului.

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.

28 F iecare să se cerceteze dar pe sine însuş, şi aşa să mănînce din pînea aceasta şi să bea din paharul acesta.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

29 C ăci cine mănîncă şi bea, îşi mănîncă şi bea osînda lui însuş, dacă nu deosebeşte trupul Domnului.

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.

30 D in pricina aceasta sînt între voi mulţi neputincioşi şi bolnavi, şi nu puţini dorm.

For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

31 D acă ne-am judeca singuri, n'am fi judecaţi.

For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.

32 D ar cînd sîntem judecaţi, sîntem pedepsiţi de Domnul, ca să nu fim osîndiţi odată cu lumea.

But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

33 A stfel, fraţii mei, cînd vă adunaţi să mîncaţi, aşteptaţi-vă unii pe alţii.

Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

34 D acă -i este foame cuiva, să mănînce acasă, pentruca să nu vă adunaţi spre osîndă. Celelate lucruri le voi rîndui cînd voi veni.

But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
